"Bryn is a nice man," Rylia says in agreement with Rust, giving the rogue a quick wink. "And I thank you as well," she says to Rust before they go.
Outside, Rylia agrees with Bryn. "Yea, I can show everyone where the sewer entrance was. I think." Her flying snake is now wrapped about her left arm near, the wrist. It might be mistaken for some elaborate bracelet at a glance.
Good to know I can count on a friend, thank you. I hope the next time we see each other it's no need to kill rabid rats anymore, and you can just help me put some goods in storage. Rust smiles at Paladin.
As Paladin, Arr, and Braxiel say goodbye to Rust, Brynn, Rylia and Coltinar leave the store trying to find the alley that the snake showed. (OOC Rylia, does your flying snake have a name?)
You are in a priority shopping zone. The afternoon is already falling and some stores are starting to close their doors. Brynn hears a noise and realizes it's her stomach growling. You follow to the west and pass in front of the two buildings near the Rust´s store. Just beside there is a leather bag and shoe store already closed, and a flower shop around the corner. Rylias recognize it as the flower shop seen by the snake, despite being strange sees the store in that position, but soon realizes that on the other side of the street, there is a glass ´n mirrors store with a big windowpane and realizes that what she saw through the eyes of the snake was the reflection of the flower shop. You are in the alley. It is a narrow pedestrian alley that, with the back and sides of buildings and virtually no shops or main doors, seems a bit deserted.
Brother Coltinare looks around and up, Perception 11 (in game log), He rubs his eyes and says, "Interesting.....Why the break-in's, I feel like there's more to this than just random thievery. Like the shops and attacks are more involved with something that's tied together than just randomness. No what I mean folks?"Insight 21 (in game log).
"Everyone did great work in the shop I must say too. Good stuff."
Brother Coltinar links to Rylia, "The next time you use your flying snake perhaps I can link to you and provide the vision information to the rest of us instantly rather than once your body regains control? Your mind might be still active just not muscularly."

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
"I have heard about these incidents against the warforged...it could be as simple, and insidious as that. But yes, let's ask around and see what we can uncover, and not forget our bigger mission down below..."
Seems a bit distracted, Brynn only sees two Dumpsters leaning against the wall. Coltinar walks a little farther, past the dumpsters in the alley, and sees a manhole cover on the ground. It is made of some kind of metal, is a bit more than 2 feet in diameter, and is held in by some sort of clip with the inscription ´Arcane Congress - Water supply and sewage department - Council of Sharn´. On the right side, there is a small dent, possibly made by a tool that forced an awkward opening. The dent left a small hole, probably where the little flyer of Rylia could poke her head out of it. Arr look around for some information. Some shops are surrounding but most of them are closed or about to close, taking into account that it is Far (Saturday) and it is already past 5 pm. Arr sees a pawnshop with no one in sight but with the lights on; a beauty salon with the door closed, but with some people still inside being attended by a couple of humans; and the flower shop across the street where, by the door, a Warforged hands a colorful, well-arranged bouquet to a young elf, who hands they some coins and walks away. The Warforged watches your movement in the alley. Suddenly They notice that Arr is looking in their direction and looks away. They now are starting to carry the vases of flowers that are displayed at the front of the store inside.
Rylia had headed out into the streets with the others. As she recognized things she had seen through her familiar, she pointed them out to the others.
"This alley seems fairly secluded. Anyone might have come here to access the shop. But they really knew where they were going," she comments. As the others look about, she looks around for any clues to the culprits.
Arr heads straight to the florist before she decides to close up her shop. “Excuse us, could we have a moment of your time? We just witnessed an attack on one of your neighboring stores and wanted to ask if you have seen anything suspicious or irregular during the last hour.”

Brother Coltinar, "Over here.....Looks like where Rylia's snake poked it's head out possibly. I pawn shop could certainly sell what was stolen from Rust or a thief could sell to the pawn shop to offload the loot quickly. Kind of brazen during the day though unless there was a way to cover your activity. An illusion between you and anyone looking in your direction. Let's see if the pawn shop has any new items come in and who did the pawn. "
Brother Coltinar checks to see if the pawn shop is open? He'll go in with the others to check it out.

"Good afternoon, warforged responds. I haven't seen anything for the last hour. But in the morning there were two humans and a changeling messing with the manhole cover. They carried large bags on their backs with something that looked like it was alive, as it was moving. I asked what they were doing there trying to move them away, but one of the humans threw freezing stones toward some of my plants and threatened me by calling me tin scum." The worforged pointed to the inside of the store with some pots of dead plants hidden. I went in to avoid trouble but saw them come in through the manhole.
"I had already seen them a few weeks ago, on a day when I arrived very early to clean the shop. They were near the manhole with tools. That day I thought they were employees of the water and sewer department. Earlier today I realized they weren't. My store was already attacked a few days ago too. I was not here. It may have been the same elements. They poisoned my plants and spray-painted the outside walls with vulgar and aggressive phrases. ´Go back to your dirty furnace´ was written in one of them", the warforged said in a sad voice. I complained to the Guard and they sent someone to recover the walls and the glass, but I don't think they did any kind of investigation.
Rylia and Braxiel investigate the alley but find nothing unusual. Coltinar tries to enter the pawnshop, but the door is closed. A dwarf appears inside and speaks through a resonating intercom on a small speaker near the door: "We are closed. we will reopen tomorrow from 9 am until 1 pm"
Braxiel will turn to the group, “Don’t we think this distracting us from our true mission. Why should we care about thefts in the night? We were hired to do a very specific thing, not to be vigilantes in the streets. Also please remember what happen last time we tried to do that, we were almost thrown in jail!” Braxiel, slightly angry about all that has happened recently and felt the explosion just come up.
Brother Coltinar, "Mmmmm...We should care about all citizens my friend Braxiel..But I agree that this is part of a bigger problem that isn't related to our current task..The authorities already know of an attack here and if Rust tells the authorities too then perhaps they can put more focus on this area. The council will need to put more pressure on the thugs doing this. Perhaps there is something we can do in the future to diplomatically reason with the group doing this destruction and thievery. Someone with an ear to the ground that knows of these things might be able to get more information as we work on our current task..."
Brother Coltinar gives the warforge 5 gp for his plants. "A gift from Dol Arras. Tell the authorities that Rust was recently attacked so they know there is more trouble in this area please."

"Thank you very much for your very kind words, Priest." Say the warforged. "And also for your help. I am totally against any kind of violence, but sometimes I think that the children of the lord of blades are right. Sometimes I wonder we really have to fight for our race to be respected whatever is the price to pay for."
"There are many who support your right to live and work and part of our city, but nothing in our lives is free. You don't have to physically fight for everything, but you can't back down to evil. Sometimes that means fighting - sometimes that means working together with others to bring more good into the world. So meet with Rust, find others who will stand with you, help each other out, and look out for one another."Bryn says to the shopkeeper.
"Thanks for your help," Arr says, "I agree with Bryn. You must be looking out for each other. These bandits are strong against each of you individually but together you are stronger. Let Rust know about strange commotions in the alley or when your shop is being attacked. If all of you shopkeepers in this street work together as a community, warforged or not, you can make your homes and shops safer and earn respect for one another."

Paladin looks on helplessly. "There will always be those who avoid trouble, hiding behind other troubles. But as the man tossing starfish back into the sea says: it mattered to this one."
"We should continue in our mission. But I believe we have time to do just a little."
Paladin goes and beats on the Dwarvish pawn shop door. "Sir, I need to speak with you."
