About Diseases: I already wrote this when I wrote about diseases but here's a reminder. Not all diseases can be cured by spells. Adventurer's Cough and Adventurer's Cold can't be cured by any spell or medicine. It's something that will run its course and then get better by itself.
I remembered but as long as we don't have previous knowledge of the disease that Elsara got... He had to try ;)
As you hang out with the party, you feel a surge of energy flow through your body as if you were just struck by lightning but it doesn't hurt. Your tattoo glows dimly. Check your character sheet.
Elsara is yearning for a bit of rest. Since she started at the guild there hasn't been a day where they haven't been doing anything busy. There has also been a lot emotionally that she hasn't managed to filter through yet, from the goblin incident at Evans' home, attempting to keep peace with Casmenos and said goblins, the death of a companion, meeting a legendary plague doctor. All of this in a matter of a couple of weeks, but no time to settle down and recollect through it. She even is still attempting to finish off writing the scrolls she intends to send to the Evans clan for her friends there, and hasn't even thought about contacting home to inform them how things are going.
As you finally have some time to go through all that has happened, the memory of the battle with Riley pops up in your mind. The death of a companion seemed to have uncovered deeper layers to that battle which were unclear to Elsara. She might be able to begin to understand how the goblins might have been feeling in that fight and what was going through Riley's head as his friends and family were falling around him. Did he think of his wife who was cut down in front of him or did he think about his daughter how was waiting for him? Could it be a mixture of both? Check your character sheet.
Elsara feels something, a connection to someone that she hasn't had for a long time. The empathy of elves is very different to that of other races, maybe due to their longevity. While she is still less than a century old, and will be for a number of years, she has yet to gain those links with those outside of her mother and father. Even with her companions she has travelled with for many miles and many weeks, there is still a distance between them that she doesn't understand yet. For now, she will keep that bond and guard it with the sword and spells she understands, using the existing knowledge to help her realise the unknown.
So, are you guys going to spend one night then? That's all you need to get rid of exhaustion but the horses need longer than that. Elsara will be cured of all diseases in 4 days. Traveling with a diseased party member is usually ill-advised (though it also varies based on disease). Harsh conditions such as another rain shower might delay Elsara's recovery and make it worse. Also, traveling will increase the chance of being infected by the disease yourself. So, you can choose to spend 4 days here and set off for Drynia on foot (if the horses are still sick by then).
Gendan is fine with four days if it means the sickness is gone. During the downtime, she will ask around (especially to the shady folks) if there are any bounties out. If she finds anything, she will let Runt know, as it may be a fun way to kill some time waiting for Elsara to get healthy.
while asking around you don't really hear about any bounty but you do hear some people express their concern over a few of the new recruits that were brought on board by Commander Daryl Crusette. Though it involves paperwork to notify the Rurik Council, recruitment for forts are usually handled by the fort commander. These new recruits seem more brutish and shadier than all the rest. These guys appear to be ex-bandits and recently bailed criminals. These guys ask you if you want to make a quick buck you could talk to Daryl.
The less shadier characters express their concerns regard the ex-cons as well as the recent disappearance of two of the soldiers named Jake Dekkar and Laura Dew.
Also, you notice an orcish traveler who stopped on the fort. He wears Studded Leather and carries a blow gun.
Val, Elsara, do you object to taking 4 days to rest?
Also Gendan:
As you sleep the night away (assuming you will ask around during your 4 day rest if nobody else objects to it), you have a vision. It wasn't a nightmare or a dream but like a sudden flash that lasts only a second. You are in complete darkness and two yellow eyes watch you. There is nothing else you can make out in the darkness. The whole vision lasts a second before it's gone. A few other times throughout the night, you feel cold before going back to normal. It was as if there was a chill wind around you for a short time before disappearing. Check your character sheet.
Yeah, the days of downtime will be good. Elsara will be really annoyed at herself for slowing down the group and basically being bedridden for all those days.
Yes and no. The disease Elsara caught is like a slightly nastier version of our real world cough and cold. With these diseases, Elsara isn't restricted to being in bed all day (though other disease can do that) so she can do what she usually does. Moreover, since most of Elsara's downtime seems to be reading, I doubt there's many diseases that can cause trouble with that. So she can spend all day in bed reading the book she got from Elyza if she wants.

PbP Character: A few ;)
The magic shop has nothing Runt us interested in and she heads to the guild in to wait for her companions to get back on track to make some gold.
Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 12 (8W-4L)- - Coliseum of Conquest: Master of Faerie Fire. Just don't ask her to spell it.
Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 6 (2W-1L)- - Coliseum Reborn : Master of a Myriad of forms.
Runt, the Stormchosen: Half-Orc barbarian level 5 -- The Guild
Tomoe Gozen: Human Fighter Samurai level 5 -- Cronero (Solo Campaign)
Runt, you are not in Sydil anymore. There is no guild here. Where are you going?
I though there was a starlite guild hall here. Guess I misread something. I'll just go to whatever in the others would go to.

Guys, will your characters do anything else tonight? How long will they stay in the fort? How are your characters feeling right now (besides tired)?
Elsara will want to meet up with the others, wanting to find somewhere to get a warm meal and maybe a cup of something hot too.
So, how is she feeling right now? (Besides being sick and tired). What are her thoughts on the recent events?
Runt wishes to just stay the night to get some sleep.

Id rather not risk the spread of infection.

(I'm assuming her downtime will be "get better".)
