Runt, despite her fair build can strike an imposing figure if desired. Intimidation19
Runt growls slightly. I'm bored. Is this cowardly elf going to fight us? or should i find someone who hasn't been castrated to flex my restlessness upon ?
"Er... You people aren't even worth my time dueling" Commander Crusette acts tough and mighty but you can tell that he's too scared to fight either of you one on one.
"Alright, since you pests are so persistent, I will take you up on your offer. Listen carefully though: if you so much as hint toward our dealings, you will find yourself at the wrong end of a noose. It's not difficult for someone of my social standing to... I don't know, find some incriminating evidence you left behind that proves you to be traitors to the nation. So, you still interested in doing some mutually beneficial business?"
"If you think someone of my standing needs mercenary work done you are grossly mistaken. What I do got for you to do though, is fight in my pit. You two fight in the pit against my champ and you get to keep a share of the rewards. People die in the pit from time to time so if you do end up dying, make it spectacular for the fans. You are on in about 2 hours. Make the most of it, it might be your last."
DM: Gendan, Runt, your default is set to Kill. Will you choose to keep it that way because there is a possibility of death in the arena? Also, will you do anything of note in the two hours between fight time and now?
“You are foolish if you think your status puts you above the need to hire a sword. Sounds like it’ll be a fun bout. See you in the arena in two hours.”
Gendan will go and inform Val of the bout, in case he wants to come and offer healing if something goes awry. Gendan will also visit the potion vendor and see if they have a Potion of Hill Giant Strength
Runt is broke. She will let the cards fall were they may. IF the Stormbringer wants her to die in a fighting pit, then so be it. She will spend her 2 hours making sure she isn't hungry, but isn't full. And then will limber up. No need to pull a muscle .

Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 12 (8W-4L)- - Coliseum of Conquest: Master of Faerie Fire. Just don't ask her to spell it.
Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 6 (2W-1L)- - Coliseum Reborn : Master of a Myriad of forms.
Runt, the Stormchosen: Half-Orc barbarian level 5 -- The Guild
(I’m on the West Coast of USA, so heading to bed fairly soon. Gendan’s plan for the start of battle is to drink a potion before entering the arena and also give one to Runt.)
(I don't see why you can't do it as long as nobody sees you do it. The potion effects lasts for an hour so it should be a fairly simple to drink it before entering)
(Assuming this is after the few days needed to recover for herself and the horses...)
Elsara will take the horses out for a bit of fresh air and to do a quick circuit around the town. She'll attempt to look for the rest of her friends who apparently have headed out without her while she's been mostly bedridden, but also a little curious about what else is going on in town, perhaps attempt to find some extra treats for the horses and even some for herself.
Timeline: Day 4 of 4. (Currently Gendan and Runt are in Day 2 of 4).
Elsara, as you go to check on the horses, you notice that they are still very sick. The only good thing to say about them is that they are doing better than before. The stable master advises you to not take the horses out yet. He says that he predicts it will take 10 more days for the horses to be healthy again since horse diseases are harder to cure than person diseases.
"Ten days!?" Elsara looks taken aback, but understands that there isn't much she can do about it. She'll take out some more coin and pay the extra for their stay. She'll instead wander about on foot instead.
(Taken a platinum off, should cover the 1gp/day for the future)

Roll intimidation because Gendan doesn't know this but Commander Crusette Jr. (this one) is a bit of a coward.
Runt, roll Intimidation too.

Runt nods and smiles. Maybe she wont have to sit around while others in the group recover from illness .

Yeah, they have a Potion of Hill Giant Strength. It costs 66gp.

Yeah, they have two. That'll be 132 gp because Gendan failed to lower the price.
