Val will spent more of his time taking care of Elsara and the horses ( using his magic as appropriate to at least make them feel better) but when he learns that two of his friends are going to fight in the pit he will go with them and, if nothing more, will provide moral support for them. Not cheering or something like that, but beign there for them.
(Sorry guys, pretty busy weeks plus the airplane company lost my backpack two days ago, well, misplaced it... )
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Wait what? How did that happen? The misplaced backpack I mean. Did you get it back?)
Val, by using your magic on the horses, I assume you cast Lesser Restoration on the horses. When you cast it, you see that the horses got a lot better. They will be ready to go on the 5th day (one day after Elsara is cured). Elsara, add 9gp to your character sheet since you will not have to spend 10 more days. To find the secret pit arena, Val must roll Persuasion.
Gendan and Runt, it's time to D-D-D-D-Duel (couldn't resist). I assume Gendan will consume a Potion of Giant Strength before the fight but what about Runt?
You guys are taken to a forgotten part of the base where nobody usually goes. There's a makeshift arena that is a 60ft vaguely circular. On the end opposite to you (about 60ft away since both of you are standing 30ft away from the nearest wall), you see the Tabaxi guard standing with a Maul in his hand. Unlike last time (he was wearing a shirt then), he is only wearing pants. He is also wearing silver gauntlets with an Ogre emblem on it. There are 4 handaxes strapped to his belt. He is growling and brutally beating up a shield with his maul and his teeth. He looks ready to tear you to shreds. (Again, I forgot to mention how the Tabaxi looks so here it is) The Tabaxi has dull yellow fur covered in black spots. This gives him a look similar to a cheetah. Unlike the limber cheetah however, the Tabaxi has big bulky body, standing at 7ft tall and with muscles that can make an orc jealous. (Think of the Cheetos Cheetah on steroids)
You hear the familiar voice of Commander Crusette announce the fight "Today is a special treat to all you fight fans. We have two lovely ladies from the Adventurer's Guild wanting to take on the champ, Ravenous Tiger. All the bets are in and I hope you are ready to see some more blood after what happened to that fool Jake, cause it's going to be a massacre! Will our delicate maidens survive? Probably not!"
The crowd cheers for the Tabaxi. Gendan, Runt, Roll Initiative.
R.Tiger: 14 (Adv: 18) Audience (Basically like Lair Actions but it is more of a 3rd entity rather than something the Tabaxi can control): 20

(Gendan actually invites Val to the arena, wouldn’t that help him find it?) (Gendan offered Runt the other potion, but will keep it if Runt opts not to use it.)
(No because Gendan herself doesn't know where the arena is. The two fighters were shown the way by one of Crusette's goons during fight time. And based on prior threats, it may not be the best idea to bring Val to Crusette's office.)
Elsara will enjoy having her 'Uncle Val' taking care of her, though she doesn't want him to catch anything while he is visiting and taking care of the horses.

(Persuasion 5 )
(Also fortunately yes, is in its way back.. hopefully I will got it tomorrow)
Valwarin, seeing that his magic is more effective with the horses reassures Elsara that they will be ok. He tries to pet them ( even the racist one) trying to make sure they are comfortable, but if he sees that they aren’t reacting well to his care he will let Elsara do it.

Val, you take a hoof to the head. Timeline: Day 3 of Day 4/5 (Will you guys stay the extra 5th day for the horses or continue the journey on foot) Damage: 7
Val, you manage to say the right thing to the right people and end up being an audience in the arena. Roll a Percentile. (This is Day 2 of Day4/5 so you still have all of your spell slots and your HP)

Okay. Got everyone's initiative. Battle Begin!
Arena: The crowd cheers for your demise. "Kill them. Kill them. Kill them." No mechanical effect.
R.Tiger roars as he breaks the shield in half and looks at you two with murder in his eyes. He is breathing heavily through his gritted teeth as he darts toward you in mad RAGE. He moves with unbelievable quickness of a tiger (Feline Agility) as he closes the distance and swings his massive maul, hoping to hit the two girls in one swing (Mechanical: Extra Attack).
Runt quickly tries to dodge the attack but she isn't fast in enough as the maul rubs against her belly and takes off enough flesh to cause a considerable injury. Gendan wasn't able to react fast enough and was hit squarely on the side, sending her tumbling to her right as the chains of her armor make a clanking noise which muffles the sound of breaking bones.
I suppose during the rest of Elsara's downtime she will be thinking of writing the letter to accompany her scroll, what messages she wants to send to each of the Evans clan members and if there's any gifts she wants to include for them. She will also work on crafting the new pages in her spellbook (for levelling up) and working on the influence she feels with Riley's blade...
(Well, you have Healing Word so maybe you can long range heal them mid-fight if you get the chance. That's what the percentile was for.)
I that is possible by all means he will do that... specially after the first round... man that was hard.. Initiative in case is necessary: 2 In case he roll higher he will hold action to cast healing word on the worst looking of his friends.
Val, you don't get initiative. Instead how I'm handling it is, on the Arena's turn, you have a 46+2 percent chance of acting. You can't do anything direct like jump in on the fight but you can do indirect things like long range healing or throwing items.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Reaction: When Gendan is hit, she unleashes a Hellish Rebuke at the feline, unleashing a flame surrounding the cat. (Roll DEX save DC 13, take 7 fire damage on fail or half as much on successful save.)
Gendan takes a deep breath as she slides around the Tabaxi (Second Wind recovers 3 HP) and pincers the foe between herself and Runt. She then swings her longsword as a Booming Blade, Attack: 19 for 12 slashing damage. (Add 2 thunder damage if the target willingly moves before Gendan's next turn.)
(Runt, make sure you read the Campaign notes about Pincering: you get advantage on your attack roll if you stay opposite the enemy from Gendan when you attack.)

( OK I roll the percentile here 60 )
Valwarin tries to move to see better the evolutions of his friends, and to be able to help them in case they need some magic healing, but the reaction of the crowd got him by surprise, and all the cheers and yells when the fight started didn’t allow him to see the first seconds of the fight.
By the time he managed to reach a position where he can see the arena, both his friends were struggling against the enraged tabaxi.
(Sorry guys hope next turn I can throw some minor healing...)
(Hoping to hear from Val whether or not he’s attending the arena.)

Runt will indeed drink the potion when offered.
Runts initiative is 6
Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 12 (8W-4L)- - Coliseum of Conquest: Master of Faerie Fire. Just don't ask her to spell it.
Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 6 (2W-1L)- - Coliseum Reborn : Master of a Myriad of forms.
Runt, the Stormchosen: Half-Orc barbarian level 5 -- The Guild
Tomoe Gozen: Human Fighter Samurai level 5 -- Cronero (Solo Campaign)

“I am not really sure why are you doing this but please be careful. That one doesn’t look like the talkative type... “
