Horace says, "Well that's for the village to decide isn't it?" He looks around and says, "The villagers may be safe but I honestly don't see a very bright future for Milstorm. I will file a request to the Rurik Council to send aid here but it is going to take awhile." He then claps his hands and says, "So. I bet you all would want a good night sleep. I am going to leave at 3 PM tomorrow. Would you like a ride back to The Guild or is there somewhere else you want to go? Adventuring is something adventurers do after all, Guild or not."
OOC: Not sure why Val is talking to Horace like he's the village elder or something. He's the Guild Master of the guild you are all part of.
“Thanks Val, that felt like a bad high. Horace, I’m going to need to see an armorer to fix up my shield and breastplate. Do you have any recommendations? Anyone who gives a good deal for guild members?”

Devarus expression sours at the mention of 'take awhile'. But after giving it even a little further thought, he sighed realizing the truth to be undeniable. "Sir. I must echo the lady's request. Not for my sake, but for other members of our party as well."He gives Runt a sidelong glance. "If possible, transport to said location would be greatly appreciated... That is not to say I could use some resupplying as well, of course. Or would not be interested in learning who was responsible for designing this"A brief, but small and sheepish grin lights up the half-drow's face as he pats Scattershot's side.
"More importantly is the previously mentioned matter... I presume we will have to head to the guild or an associate location to learn more. But, if a similar case as this crops up, I wish... don't know what the proper procedure for this would be. But if I--We could be notified of it as soon as possible, it would also be appreciated."

Drozo - [Hobgoblin]Cleric - Blood Domain (Call of the Netherdeep)
(If you walk to Guild HQ in Sydil, you will have to pass through Syridin. You can also fly to it or fly directly to HQ or any other place in Lun)
Horace says, "I believe the blacksmith in Milstorm survived so he might be able to do any kind of repair work. I don't think he can sell you much though. If you want to resupply and buy things, I could take you back home to do it or I could drop you off and Romel, another big town in Syridin."
To Deva and Val, Horace says, "The magic you're talking about sounds like that Affectus Uti Elsara had me send for research. If that is the case, I'm afraid there's no one I know that can tell you anything about it. However, if the effects is this disastrous, I think I should send a word to Maldor. Knowing the wizardly types, just knowing what this magic can do will get them to double their research efforts. As for informing you whenever this type of mission crops up, I'm afraid that's going to be hard. You see, this mission and the other mission where Affectus Uti was involved (Jay blowing up) both seemed comparatively ordinary. I don't think we can truly know which mission has something to do with Affectus Uti and which doesn't. Still, I can get Catherine to make a note on any mission she finds a bit off. She is really smart and has good intuition so she should be able to make a guess with relative accuracy."
Horace seems to think about something and then says, "My mistake. Syridin is north of Sydil but We are currently west. For some reason I was thinking about Cosmer even though there's no sea around here. Syridin doesn't fall on route to Sydil from here but I can still drop you off there if you want." He then seems to have a idea and says, "Speaking of Cosmer, it's a port town so it should have some good items if you have the gold for it"
(I want to add maps for Syridin and also Cosmer but having shitty internet right now)
(Party, the reason Gendan asked about Syridin is that she noticed a stone structure while flying over that she’d like to check out at some point. However, I don’t think that time is now.)
Gendan would like to see if the blacksmith in Milstorm can repair her plate and shield, but is open to going to Sydil or Cosmer to have it done.
DM: Well, you guys are at full power (if you're not at full power, you should be because you will get a Long rest regardless of where you wish to go since Horace won't leave till 3 PM) and don't really have any mission you need to get to. I don't really see what's the hurry but you guys decide where you want to go
Runt and Gendan (by the way, the blacksmith is closed at 3 AM. This is taking place the next day): the blacksmith greets you with a tired smile. You notice that he has a chest injury that's bandaged up. He probably got it while defending the town. He'll be fine though. He says, "I am afraid I don't have anything to sell you. Most of my stock has been destroyed by the orcs."When you ask about repair work however, he says, "Yes, I can do that."
Gendan, the shield will cost 5 GP to repair. The Dragon Plate will cost 105 GP = 110 GP (Discount for saving the town: 99GP) Runt: Runt, your Breastplate will cost 5 GP to repair. The Maul +1 will cost 20 GP = 25 GP (discount for saving the town: 22GP 5 SP)
So will you guys spend the necessary funds to fix the equipment?
"If you can use the Guild resources to warn the wizards you spoke of and the authorities and to spread the word over the rest of the Guild members both to keep an eye and to be cautious... I don't know if we can do more without more information... but that should suffice for now" replies the druid to Horace.
Later, and walking with his friends and he uses to Val says to the blacksmith
"I could try to heal your wound if you don't mind" he offers.
The blacksmith agrees to Val's offer. He is grateful but unfortunately he can't give a further discount because he was already lowering the price to make minimal profit. He needs the money because the village and his shop was wrecked.
DM: I have now added both Syridin and Cosmer maps. In Syridin there is an "Old Cathedral" this is in the campaign map because laziness. In the game universe, the location isn't marked on your maps. Except for Gendan's. Her map has it marked because that's the location she saw the stone structure. She doesn't know it's an old cathedral but it is marked to pin point the location of what she saw.
At night, Gendan has a dream. Horace talks to Elsara about sending her to Wizard School. Elsara agrees and Horace says that he will be dropping Elsara off at Cosmer before heading to Sydil. He will also drop you of at any location in Lun (You don't have maps of all locations. The locations where you don't have maps: Hillstar, Tow, Drun, Tygon and Veros. Also Rigmer (where Drynia was but I will add that map now)
DM: Alright, let me know where you want to go. Horace will take you there.
Val heals the blacksmith assuring him that no further discount is needed. The elf seems a little bit confused at first by the blakcsmith words. "Not everything in this world is about money... " he says " life, life it's more important..."
When he hears that Elsara will go to the Academy Valwarin seems sad
"I will miss you little sister " he says " But if anyone can find anything about this Affectus Uti it's you. Make sure that they hear you." he touches his forehead and then hers
"May the blessings of the Mother be with you"he adds in elvish.
Valwarin hasn't any preference to go any place, he will go with his friends Runt and Gendan.
Gendan gives Val a strange look and says, “That reminds me, we should head back to Sydil with Horace to see if there are any new jobs posted. There’s no guarantee of payment if we are just wandering the countryside.”
When they are dropping off Elsara, Gendan says, “You were a formidable sparring partner. We’ll see you around Lun. Study up on this strange magic and send us any info you can to help us out.”
I just realized I forgot to say what dream Gendan had.
Gendan finds herself in an old church of some sort. There are banners and mosaic decorations with stained glass on the walls (History check to recognize). There are big doors behind her which are locked. She hears piano music coming from deeper within the church. On the front is a statue of Lathander. However, the god seems to be holding a great sword and wearing medium armor. This is a strange depiction of the god to say the least. She realizes that she doesn't have any of her weapons or armor and she is unable to channel her patron's powers. There is no way else to go besides deeper in the church.
Going there, she will see the dark armored paladin she saw at the cave playing the song on the piano. As Gendan enters, he turns around and says, "So, you've destroyed the cave. I sensed something different about it. Your soul is not your own, it is pact bound to an archfiend. What made you go into a pact with such a being? Power? Or could it be that you were forced into it. Either way, I am willing to bet that you would like to be free from your pact. Our magic is powerful. I can help you get your soul back and become free from your patron. Join me and you shall experience power like no one has ever seen. Your power will rival that of demi-gods and most archfiends. All you have to do is be our spy. I sense that your fellow teammates will cause problems later. I need you to keep an eye on them. When the time is right, we will be free of them and your freedom will be granted. What do you say?"
Devarus would've gone to the smith as well for more bolts and arrows, unless he finds a Fletcher in town. But if there's none to speak of, he more than willing waits until the group have reached their next destination. Either way, if offered a discount for any request around town, the aged Half-Drow promptly tries to wave of the offers. "Ever coin counts here. A thanks alone is enough for someone like me." If ever pressed.
Later when he hears of Elsara's change of course, Devarus has a conflicted look on his face. One only relieved when when Valwarin makes the request. However, the guilt for having only selfish thoughts for her left him reticent to do more then hang out in the background of any goodbyes; politely waving when noticed, but otherwise "content" to observe things.
"Then Sydil is where we should go. I need to check in on a few things there anyhow." He speaks up on, messaging his neck.
