Everyone boards the Pegasus Carriage and then it takes to the skies. It heads north and you can see the sea getting closer. Elsara is to take a ship from Cosmer to Venoport of Mainland Rurik. From there she is to make the long journey to Maldor, where the magic academy is. Cosmer is one of the largest towns of Lun and the only port city. It is a pretty active town. It lies in the Cosmer Saltlands.
Summer 56 Time: 10:30 PM
The carriage arrives in Cosmer and everyone gets off. Elsara says her goodbyes to the party and heads off toward the port. Horace says, "Well, we're here in Cosmer. It's late so we'll start for Sydil again tomorrow. Cosmer has a lot of different goods for sale. I see Deva would like a refill on his crossbow bolts so we'll leave around 8:30 AM tomorrow so that everyone gets a chance to buy things."
DM: Deva didn't find anyone selling crossbow bolts or arrows in Milstorm but he can find them here. 20 Arrows or 20 Crossbow bolts cost 1GP 1 SP. Other than that, since Cosmer often gets shipments from Rurik Main, you can buy any Uncommon magic item here. Additionally you can also get +1 Armors here if you can afford it. Does anyone have any kind of magic item they want to get?
In Cosmer, she inquires about the following uncommon magic items: +1 Longsword, +1 Shield, Cloak of Protection. She is also willing to trade or sell her Orb of Fire Shielding since her dragon plate offers similar benefits now.
Long Sword+1 is 1650 GP. Shield+1 is 1100 GP. Cloak of Protection is also 1650 GP
Orb of Fire Shielding sells for 450 GP
You can bargain the prices if you want.
History check results:
You recognize the place as well as the odd Lathander statute. This place is built to be a replica of the Old Church of Ellenshire. Long ago, before the formation of Rurik Union, the Church of Ellenshire was a formidable entity. Though it was not an official ruling body, its influence was so great that it pulled the strings in the administrations of the now Tasyr region, The Beldine Region and part of The Ganson Region in Rurik Main. Though it was seen as a benevolent and holy organization to those who followed Lathander and his pantheon, people in those regions feared the Church as those who worshiped gods of other pantheons were labelled as heretics and hunted down. Their depiction of Lathander took more inspiration from those aspects of the god that supported self-defense and protection against evil. Thus, he was depicted in their imagery as being more warlike, equipped with medium armor but sometimes also heavy armor and wielding a great sword. The Church had a battalion of devout Paladins called Wrath of Lathander or the Holy Knights. These Paladins would venture out and seek out heretics and bring them for execution. The Church would often mobilize its troops to attack and conquer lands that were deemed, plagued by Heresy.
The Church slowly lost the faith of the people. When the opportunity presented itself, King Edmond Tasyr disbanded the Holy Knights and swayed the people against the Old Church of Ellenshire. This ultimately resulted in the Church losing the majority of its influence and starting the transformation into the New Church of Ellenshire which exists to the present day. The current Church no longer has a battalion of zealous Paladins and it doesn't label anyone worshiping other gods as heretics. Currently, the Church of Ellenshire is seen as a holy land for the religious minded and people from all over Rurik go there to pray. It has no administrative power. Even the statue of Lathander is of the more common depiction.
Though Gendan remembers all this history she learned from somewhere, one question remains: What does the Old Church of Lathander have to do with the armored Paladin? Maybe Gendan can figure out some answers?
DM: So, how does Gendan react to the Paladin asking her to join him? I mean I know her answer but how does she actually say it to him?
(Sure! and 60 arrows. So I will deduct 831GP 6 SP )
Valwarin seems a little bit cohibid in a city this large. He follows Runt and Gendan and looks at everything with his eyes wide open. When they are in one shop a quiver catches his attention. It has elvish motifs and he recognises as the ones like some of the Verdant Guard carries. That could be really handy and he adds it to Gendan stash saying
(Lol. Unless they take moths and a few silver pieces for those magic items, Dev's ain't getting any thing special. XD)
Aside from seeing to business with a fletcher, Devarus use what little spare time could be afforded to ask around for rumored location elven ruins or 'recovered' knickknacks of the same. Any at all, even if said "rumors" would take him far from Cosmer or Sydill. His curiosity satisfied one way or another, he heads immediately to the meet-up location to wait for the others.
(purchasing a spare crossbolt case, 20 bolts, and 20 arrows.)
(As for where Dev at least initially inquires, he looks for taverns closer to the docks themselves before expanding his search however he can before its time to go. Don't actually expect to learn anything this time around, however.)

DM: I'm ruling that if you buy at least 20 arrows or bolts, you get a case for free. How many bolts and arrows are you buying in total? 20 each or 40 bolts and 20 Arrows?
(Also will tell you rumors after I get the answer to the arrow question. That would give me enough time to look over my maps)

Gendan tells her companions that she had a strange dream and she believes the armored man who destroyed (by poisoning/corrupting) the Orc cave may be tied to the old Holy Knights of Lathander.
"Should we go to their church and speal to them? They should know..." says Val looking at the huge temple in the town. "Perhaps they could give us more information."
For context, I'm copy pasting what I told Gendan about the Holy Knights after she succeeded a History check.

Also @Val, there is no huge temple in Cosmer. Only a regular sized temple.
(20 each. Should keep Dev going for a while at least. Though not proficient at it the former, he'll purchase up some woodcarver's tools to carve at least some arrows in the future on the road. Or at least, start practicing to do that in the future.)
(Edit: In fact, he's gonna buy a Light Hammer AND a dagger if there's time as well.)
There's time but the whole thing would cost 2GP 2 SP for the arrows and bolts, Woodcarver's tools is 1GP 1SP, Light Hammer is 2GP 2SP, Dagger is 2GP 2 SP. Total is 7GP 7 SP
Also you don't have a waterskin. You gave it away to the villagers. You will DEFINITELY need one (at least). It costs: 2SP 2 CP
About rumors of Elven ruins, Deva hears about a path in the plateau of Aros which leads to a Drow City. He also hears about a golden pyramid in Vandanore Forest, Aros. Both of these are rumors. Other than that he hears about the legend of Kathleen Burns, one of the Six Heroes:
Kathleen Burns, The Sentinel Angel, was one of the Six Heroes who banded together to take down a god of chaos. Kathleen was a High Elf Woman who loved adventuring. They say that her aim with a bow was unrivaled. She left the wealthy life of her noble family behind to explore the world. Then she rose to the challenge and defeated the chaos god. She is said to always be smiling. Though she didn't have any children of her own, the noble house she was born into still live in the city of Gilmes in Oriola region of Rurik Main.
Alright then. Time to travel.

Gendan will sell the Orb of Fire Shielding and purchase a +1 Shield.
She would also sell her non-magical shield that had just been repaired.
Check out my Extended Signature here
Gendan trades the Orb for a shield. That's almost all her gold gone but the shield was probably worth it.
(How much would the non-magical shield fetch? (Hopefully at least it’s repair cost would be recouped.)

1.5 GP is how much the Shield is worth (non magic)Correction: I forgot you had just got it repaired
