Elsara will skip over jovially as her hands land on the edge of the bar. "Hello!" She says brightly to the barkeep. "Could I get a house special of some sort? It's been a long road and journey." She'll pay (whatever costs you want for a house special ale) and bob slightly as she waits. Once she has been served, she'll ask her question. "Umm, so I'm kinda new to the area. Is there anywhere I should visit or avoid? Oh, is there anything interesting that's happened? It's nice to know about the local area when first visiting..."
The bartender hands Elsrara the best ale in the house. He asks for 2 GP for it. He says, "Well... there's a bunch of traveling merchants in town. Nothing interesting really happens here. We get regular visitors because it happens to be on the middle of a road that connects two pretty of Lun's major towns (he's talking about Drynia and Sydil) Ours is a primarily fishing town with some farmlands making up the fringes. If you like fish you can visit the fish bazaar."

Elsara places the two golden coins down for the bartender, taking a sip of the drink as he replies. She contemplates what could happen if the ring trades hands with one of these wandering merchants. It would cause a lot of running around. "I guess that makes sense, lots of trade coming this way." She puts the tankard on the bar, keeping a hold of its handle. "Yeah, fish is good and healthy, but the fishmonger's stalls always get really stinky, eww." She sticks her tongue out in distaste. "So do you get fresh fish from the market for making meals for the patrons? I bet a hot fish pie would be really popular in the evening."
She continues to make a bit of small talk for a moment, trying to gauge if this barkeep would be the type who can gather information and provide it for a small donation.
"Thank you very much, sir!" Elsara says brightly as she turns with the remains of her drink to Runt. She says a little quieter, "Maybe we should find the others what they've found. I think the barkeep here could be paid to find out some things if we need to."
