Deception: 16

(Technically not a lie. She didn't intend to meet Riena, they were introduced not at the entrance, and she left the place guarded during her entirety of her watch shifts... She is just obviously misinforming the situation.)

I know the technicalities. I do it all the time IRL.

Evans catches your, "wording of the truth" and glares at you. He sighs and says, "Just go and say your goodbyes."

"Thank you!" Elsara says and rushes off away from the group for a few minutes before returning.

(DM, shall I send you a PM about that, rather than delay the pace of the thread?)

"I hope your new trade agreement brings you good fortune," Keyrona says to the hobgoblin. She then turns to the group, "Let's get back to Sydil, I'm itching for a different job. Maybe one where I get to swing my sword a bit more."

Elsara returns and gives a hug to Sekai on the way back. "Farewell for now!" Elsara says. "It's not goodbye forever. I'd much like to come back and maybe help out again once I'm a proper hero."

"Are we ready to saddle up? We got quite the hike ahead of us."

Sekai says, "Yeah. I'll be waiting for you." She pauses for a bit before continuing, "I need to improve too. I can't let my friends down again."

Elsara nods. "Okay, then let's promise be both be better when we next meet up." She says, holding her hand out to pinky swear.

Once the agreement is made, she'll turn to the party, grabbing her pack from the side of where she was guarding. "Okay, ready now. Thanks for waiting." She says with a big smile, trying not to look sad.

Deception: 7

Does any of the PCs contest Elsara's deception roll? Or do you choose to not press the issue?

(Gym ain't gonna fight it)

 "Oh," Elsara spins on her heel to turn and face Evans again. "I forgot to mention, the wine you have stored here is an antique. With the trade hopefully coming, you might be able to swap some for lots of supplies. The same with any books that you may have; I heard there's a library!"

Evans responds, "Yes, I'm aware of the value of wine to human society. I do plan to trade it for useful gear and other supplies. Hopefully with new gear, we'd be able to retrieve the books."

Elsara nods. "Mister Gonzales mentioned a spider infestation. Although..." She looks to the group. "Do you think five extra well-armed people would do in helping with pest control." She tries to smile angelically at the party.

Evans shakes his head and says, "I won't allow it. We have the spider situation under control at the moment. I will not risk letting it lose in an attempt to take it out, when our numbers are so low. The risk is not worth the reward. I assure you, once we have more troops and better armor, we will be able to take care of the 8 legged beast ourselves."

( Do we need to go back to the village to resupply for the trip back? Is it in our path back? )

“ Gabby wanted to see us once more time before we depart. Maybe we should check on her and be sure that the villagers are keeping their word. It won’t be a long detour... “ 

DM: You don't need supplies but it is on the way.

"well this bird is ready to leave" 

Folki moves over to elsara with a big smile 

"so how are you little one?" 

"Okay, then." Elsara says. "Oh, but if you do want our help, you could always post to the adventurer's guild and we'd come to assist you."

She then meets up with the party for real this time. "Hey, so how did things go back in town? Has Mister Abedail stopped being grouchy yet?"
