I may've had a six month sabbatical from the campaign. Hard enough recalling the names from before that point, never mind what happened whilst Elsara was away.
"Oh... right..." Elsara's head droops a little. "Umm, well I can make sure we have some shelter if we go through the valley pass then."
"No worries Elsara I could find us some shelter along the way. We found a note at the Guild that made us think that there could be problems in Romel related to this foul magic we have undercover. Therefore we took that mission and went there. When we arrived we found that, unfortunately, we were too late. The whole city has been turned into an horde of mindless zombies under the control of the wearer of a dark amulet imbued by this sick magic. We saw a jester that was the responsible to give this human the amulet. He planned to go and conquer all. After a thought fight we were able to take the amulet from his grasp, kill him and destroy the object and the curse that had all imprisioned. " he seems both sad and sick while realting this events. " And despite this and what happened at that orc camp, no decisive action is taken. I am afraid that we could not stop the spreading of this... disease, and it will be too late to save the infected arm... if you understand me... "
Devarus opens his mouth, as if ready to raise a point, hesitates, and then following huff, he just shakes his head and goes back to focusing on other things for a while. ".... Mr. Valwyn. If you could take point on gathering... food and water on the return trip? To help mitigate our expenditures. It seems Ms. Gendan has already volunteered to aid you, if such is needed."
(To Frandal: Just a light reminder about Zulk's request for a survival check. At advantage as well, since Val would be aided.)
(Also unless mistaken, its looking like the majority is leaning towards Vitmore Valley approach)

If elven ears could droop like a sad dog's, Elsara's probably would do. "Oh... that's terrible. Maybe when we get back we can ask Miss Blackthorne, if she's around, about it. She might be able to help out!"
(I also nominate our resident wolfie druid to do the survivalism stuff. Elsara's planning on making a shelter wherever they stop, so warm and dry location at least.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Val will turn into his white wolf form and will do his best to lead his friends during their trip. (Survival: 11 and if the aid so generously offered is applicable 23)

Monsoon 5 Time: 11:00 AM
After an hour of shopping, the party board the Lizard Carriage and start along the road to Sydil. The carriage moves as fast as the Pegasus Carriage that The Guild uses. The only difference being that the Lizard Carriage is grounded and may sometimes be slowed down due to terrain. However, that is not a concern for the party as they move along the roads. They already find themselves in Wylan when it's time to turn in for the night. Val hunts and forages enough food and water to for the party to not worry about rations. They sleep in tents near the lizard carriage. The blue border of the magical Moonglow Forest can be seen from their campsite.
Weather Effect: 10 Days: 3
Monsoon 6 Time: 10:00 AM
The next morning they are greeted to the sound of rumbling and light rain, similar to the one they've been seeing on the ship. This kind of rain will last for 2 days. The roads are getting wet and will soon become muddy, which will slow them down. The carriage itself will offer all the passengers enough shelter. The Lizards that are pulling the carriage seem to be far more resilient since they seem to not care at all about the rain. Once the carriage enters the forest, the canopy offers a form of shelter. Blue fireflies flutter about, being disturbed by the rain. There is not much sunlight in the forest itself. The dim glow of the plant life here is a source of natural light. At one point, most of the party (Val, Elsara and Gendan) come to one very familiar part of the forest. The late Ms. Jay's house is near here.
Does the party want to keep moving or do something else at this point?
Elsara looks over to Val and Gendan. "You remember that place, right?" She nods towards the way to Ms. Jay's house. "I guess it's unused now, isn't it?" She looks a little forlorn about the situation, probably not wanting to go back there, at least not at this moment.
Devarus just looks at everyone confused and worried. But after a few awhile, he brushes it off, and starts redirecting the carriage on whatever course the group would prefer. "I... suppose we can stop for a while. If it involves that. But, as soon as its all clear, we should not linger. The sooner we find out what the Guild has for us, both in regards to our request, and the jobs available, the better."

"Okay..." Elsara nods, a little bit of sorrow in her tone. Her memories of that place are not filled with frolicking and joy like most of her life, so it isn't a place she associates with her usual positive attitude. As the group gets the cart to make the diversion, she begins to ritual cast her Detect Magic spell. The sooner they have resolved their work here the better.
Looks like the majority want to go check out the house so going there.
Going to the house, you see an official document hanging on the door. It reads, "This house has been placed under the property of the Rurik Union Government. This is a Level 1 Restricted Zone. Removal of this document or entering here without permission is strictly forbidden and will bring legal penalties." It is illegal to enter here or any area that has been designated by the Rurik Council as a Restricted Zone. However, being members of The Guild, the party can enter Restricted Zones of Level 1 and Level 2 freely and without worrying about breaking the law. Entering the place, it is seen that the house is empty. All the furniture that wasn't attached to the house itself have been removed from the building by the Rurik Defense. Elsara detects no magical presence here. In the kitchen, the remains of Jay has been removed thoroughly. It is almost as if no one had even lived here to at all. Such highly efficient removal of blood and gore from the walls and the floors suggest that it was the work of Plague Doctors. Behind the house are two graves, one is newer than the other. It seems to belong to Jay and her son. Looks like the researchers weren't able to find anything useful from examining the remains.
Devarus stays in the carriage driver seat, not wishing to disturb what increasingly began to seem personal thing for the other party members during the lead up to their arrival. And while at one point he entertained the thought of stepping away to see if his mother might be in the area, the somber mood and reminder of the need to be at least a bit expedient about the mission kills the urge; leaving him with little choice other than just be his usual wary self.

It's all good. Honestly, I am not even certain if our characters actually told her the full story upon finally reuniting with Elsara.

Currently, Runt has no opinion on our destination. As long as there is a job to do and skulls to crack, she will be satisfied.
Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 12 (8W-4L)- - Coliseum of Conquest: Master of Faerie Fire. Just don't ask her to spell it.
Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 6 (2W-1L)- - Coliseum Reborn : Master of a Myriad of forms.
Runt, the Stormchosen: Half-Orc barbarian level 5 -- The Guild
Tomoe Gozen: Human Fighter Samurai level 5 -- Cronero (Solo Campaign)
Yeah most people want to head south (Vitmore Valley) and now I'm waiting for someone to make the Survival Check.

“Yeah. Shall we make sure it’s still clear of that Affectus Uti magic you’ve talked about? Or shall we just head back to Guild HQ?”

“Well, those guys sure do clean up nicely, don’t they?” Gendan quips as she looks around for signs of her Eldritch Blast upon the walls.
”I guess we can safely say this place is fine, and we can get on back to the guild.”

"Yeah..." Elsara glances around with her magic vision to make sure there isn't any lingering Affectus Uti around the area.
