Yes Runt needs to roll too. And she obliterates Deva in the sparring match. Deva did succeed in goading her into attacking first but he was not ready for the swiftness and force of Runt's attack. He is immediately knocked off balance and falls to the ground. Runt wins the match shortly after.
Elsara sits in her room, humming some melodies she learned from the books in the library she grew up in. Her hand weaves the bronze wiring into the metal sheet of her primary spellbook as she copied the instructions from the spell scroll across, wondering what sort of other spells Zack Ravager crafted and potentially have lying out there. After the scroll crumbles to dust she takes the backup spellbook from its spot in her room and takes out the traditional inks used on the specially made parchment in the book, dipping her quill and beginning to scribe it into a more traditional wizarding cipher, easier for someone to copy from, and a more standard spellbook that can be taught from.
Devarus accepts the hand up after much chuckling over his own defeat. "If I was a more prideful man, I'd ask for another few gos! But heavens know I'm far too old for that." He confesses. "You know, I admittedly set this whole thing up having half-expected to help pass along a thing or two. Coach you into at least considering a few alternatives to treat'n most fights as a hammer and nail sort of thing. But to each their own methods, eh?" He pats Runt on the shoulder.
Unless there's more from her end, he bids her goodbye, and goes home to sleep off the new aches and bruises. After seeking out the local provision shop and seeing about acquiring a grappling hook and silken rope.

Valwaryn spent the night in the woods. He crossed most of it on his wolf form until he reached an isolated pod made by a ten feet jump on the course of a small river.
There he spent most of the night meditating, asking the Mother Nature to help him fight that dreaded and unnatural magic of Afectus Utti. He returned to the Guild House at dawn, this time walking on his two feet. He came with some mushrooms to preapre for the rest for breakfast.
(Other than that, unless there's more, I'm all ready to move to the next big thing. Unless there are any complaints about heading towards the Orien region for Ring and Strange Kidnappings?)

(Elsara might have to look into buying her favourite horses in the future ;-) )
The following morning Elsara brings her backup spellbook down with her to breakfast. "Here you are Gendan."She opens it to the page where the instructions on casting Sword of Ravengar and points it out. "It's all copied over into this book for reference. Feel free to go over it, but try not to get any breakfast into the pages. Grease is a spell, not a smear." She giggles to herself.
"So which one are we going to do next?" Elsara asks the group.
Devarus will of course pay up the 5gp for the Lizard Carriage. As well as make a mental note to, at some point, inquiry about maybe purchasing one as a personal mount, having vaguely recalled his mother's tales about their own underdark mounts. Someday...

Done. So I'm guessing everyone is heading out to Farendale now. Will you be taking the fastest route there or do you want to take any detours or make any stops?
Deva still needs to make a STR or DEX check.
(To Zulk: You mean Runt?)

No, I meant Deva.
To spar, both participants make two rolls each:
1. Athletics or Acrobatics (their choice)
2. STR or DEX (Their choice)
You only rolled Athletics. You didn't roll the raw STR or DEX yet.
(To Zulk: Ah, okay. Well here's the second one)
Dex: 18.

(Yup, ready to move onto adventure etc.)
Runt will spend the night by herself in her guild room. She tries to reflect on the days events and works on her secret project.

(Unless something pops up along the road to warrant a detour, such as banditry in action or so forth, fastest route would be Dev's preference.)
