(Elsara can take Dev's. I still got a potion or two that I can me use of, and she'll be a bit more helpful in the immediate than this old codger.)
(To Zulk: During that fight, did Devarus notice that the creature was healed up from its last fight with Valwyrin? Or would assume that Val never got a chance to actually harm it in the first place?)
(Also assuming for now, since I don't know when exactly you called for a halt, that Val got to him before the last tick of damage would've knocked Devarus out.)
"Aw Don't be, Mr. Valwirn. I should've been able to take care of something like this all my own." Devarus coughs off to the side and holds his chest for a few moments. "Nothing like a rougher tussle to make you realize some things." He lets out a pained chuckle. Then shield is donned and at least one potion guzzled as Dev tries fix a bit more of his insides. "Seeing as I haven't heard any answers, let's fall back outside, catch our breaths and tackle this in the day." He said. "If nothing else, it aughta force it to fight in the open should it pursue so far. But, no fires. That library may yet hold more answers for us. Now let's move people."
At that, unless there are any voicing an opposing action, Devarus would take point on leading the group back the way they came with Rapier and Shield now in hand.
(Assume also that by the time he finishes speaking that others have used the healing spirit. Not that it already hasn't ben plenty enough rounds for it.)

For Deva, let's assume that he got though 3 failed medicine checks (And thus 3 rounds of bleed damage) before Val got him healed up.
As for the creature, I don't recall Val getting hits on the creature in but I think Gendan or maybe Deva might have hit it a few times before it ran the encounter before this one. Regardless, it didn't heal since the last encounter.
"Not without a firestorm, and where not there yet. We need to know what's in those books. But as we are for the moment, that's not happening. So, the hope-" It is at this point Devarus switches to Elvish. "We must leave, recouperate, and if it should follow us, at least it will be out in the open and won't have as much of a home field advantage... quite literally. Now let's go." He finishes, urging everyone to follow once more.

"Perhaps we just fall back to somewhere with a little more space, so we can attempt to flank the monstrosity, and not be stuck in a hallway trying to retreat."
Devarus frowned, started to open his mouth, only to then bite back an initial remark. "With that in mind, the most open areas next to that library would be the dining area in the basement, or the living room in the main house.. main house.." Devarus squints at the walls for a second. "Ehn.... Regardless, those are the only two. So, unless you're suggest we head right /back/ into that library, we'll have a number of halls to go through regardless... unless of course the one path to the right opens up a fair bit, but it would be a gamble. And I don't know about you, but I'm not much of a betting man. At least if it tries anything in the halls, it can only hit us at three fronts at best, and not every other point. The easiest defense."
(ZulkRS: Would it feel to our characters that the places we've been fit the dimension of the house (or was it a Manor?) we entered in the first place?)

((If I understand correctly, you're asking if the house seems bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. In that case no, the rooms you've been to and the dimensions do fit inside the house. No space bending going on here. The house just seems to have been renovated and remodeled repeatedly over centuries where old rooms were sealed off, walls were broken to make smaller rooms bigger, purposes of rooms were changed etc.))
As for moving to an open place, I am definitely going to need a specific place you are moving to before I can proceed.
The biggest room you have encountered so far is in fact the library. However the 2nd biggest would be the first room you entered after pushing a bookcase and opening a metal door. It's the one with the dining room table.
Devarus looked a bit skeptical for a second, but then sighed in acceptance. "Fine, so long as we move out. Not as if we can spend all night arguing back and forth over this, after all." He smirks, and then unless Runt or another decided to take point, pushes on for the room. If not attacked at any point along the way, he would add as they get close, "I don't suppose any of you have thought of means of dispelling that darkness or invisibility trick of his, have you? Alternative ones, that is."

As the darkness in the library slowly disperse, you retrace your steps through the old and decrepit mansion, wood planks creaking from time to time and being careful not to fall through the floor at other times. You finally reach back to where you started, the first room of this section of the mansion. Beyond the metal door that you pushed open lies the otherwise normal looking hall way and the book shelf you pushed. What do you do now?
Devarus organize any effort to close the door and push the bookcase in place to block off the door they retreated from. If there's anything else of us, even if it something brittle, he pushes that into place as well to form a blockade.

Alright so where are you guys going to go? It's going to take another minute before the darkness in the library wares off.
