Can Val make a run for it? disengage and move.. his idea is to gt out and turn back into his elf form once more. I assume he is back to his own floor?

Val has no way of knowing which floor he is on. However, he can't disengage and run because the rat is blocking his way.

Seeing no other option, Val uses his fangs to pierce the rat that is blocking his way out the mouse hole.

Attack: 24 Damage: 1 

On a hit CON ST dif. 10 or take 4 damage, half if succesful 

Elsara rolls her eyes as she had just gotten comfy again. Trancing is more efficient than sleeping, but she prefers to get herself positioned for it. "Ladies can't get any beauty sleep, can they?" She says mostly to herself, but also as a joke to Runt. Standing up, she goes over towards the door, but keeps one of her blades sheathed in her off hand behind the door as she opens it.

Val manages to kill the rat. The path is still not clear though as he senses two more rats moving in from side tunnels to block his exit.

Vladimir greets Elsara and says, "Apologies for bothering you again. However I regret to inform you that there is a shape-shifting assassin in the building who is trying to assassinate our friend Victor. We have moved him to a safe room and my servants are now in the process of hunting them down. The assassin is currently hiding in the walls. I am here to warn you and to ask if you would like to be moved to a new room. Your ally Mr. Daknin has informed me that you are capable of handling yourselves. Would you like to help with the search for the assassin?"

Val slithers as fast as he can to get out of the mouse hole and revert to his own form.

"An assassin?" Elsara thinks about it for a second. "Well, that's just like out of a murder mystery novel! Well, except they haven't managed to kill anyone yet. Ooh, I know how I can help. I could look for magical auras in the walls. I assume the walls aren't lined with lead or are too thick for me to be able to do so?" She eagerly goes to grab her pack. "Ooh, this is exciting." She looks to Runt. "Is this more your thing, hunting an assassin down? Maybe we could help guard Lord Vladimir." She giggles to herself.

Vlad nodded and said, "That might be a great idea. I have no idea which floor the assassin is on so I suggest you check all of them. Please take Mr. Daknin with you. Would you be alright if Ms. Runt goes to guard our friend Victor since I believe that is who the target was." He turned to Runt and said, "Is that alright Ms. Runt?"

Meanwhile as Val slithers toward the exit, two more rats appear from the side paths to block his escape.

Rat1 Vs Val: 12 Dmg: 1
Rat 2: Dodge as it's forming a conga-line

The rat tries to bite snake Val but he seems to be too slippery for the rat.

Val's turn.

Runt gets out of bed and stands as tall as she can manage. She hefts her obscenely heavy looking axe onto her shoulder with easy.

With a grin she replys. Much more my speed.

Elsara nods, but insists she escorts Runt and Vladimir to Victor; safety in numbers and all. She keeps an eye out with magic sight whilst they make their way along the room, but also glancing over Vladimir to check if he has any magical protections. It would be terrible if their host were to die on their watch, after all.

Vlad says, "There's not much time for escorting. The assassin might get away if we don't get to work." While passing down the hall, Vlad knocks on Val's (Deva's) door again. "I suggest you wake your friend and join us Mr. Daknin. You said you are capable of handling yourselves so I assume you would be willing to help catch the assassin as well."

Elsara will check with Runt if she is happy to go ahead on her own with Lord Vladimir to protect Victor. "If I find something important, I can always get in contact with you through magic." She tells her friend.

"If you are truly fine with having our assistance." Devarus called back without opening the door. There's then some whispering from a fair distance away from the door before the half-drow opened the door, fully armed and armored already. At any expectant looks or glances into the room, which Devarus doesn't actively try to impede as well, the half-drow says with his gaze yet lowered in deference to Vlad,  "Apologies... We'd been discussing it earlier, and my friend elected to use his own means of pursuit through the walls, if you should request our aid in such an endeavor."

He glances up towards Elsara and Runt and smiles faintly. "It seems not long ago since we found ourselves on the hunt in some strange home again. Heh... Though granted, circumstances are a mite different this time around."

Runt nods Be safe. 

Vlad says, "With that settled,  Ms. Elsara, while you search the place for magic and the assassin trying to escape, Mr. Daknin can go with you to assist in the search. Ms. Runt and I will go and guard our friend Victor so the assassin doesn't launch an attack."

Still blocking my way out? I thought that as they came from the side I could have slip past them last turn with movement and dash... then...

If possible: 

Slither past the rat in front of me ( disengage) and movement to get out the mouse hole.

If not. 

Attack: 20 Damage: 1

On a hit CON ST dif. 10 or take 3 damage, half if succesful 

Then move past it and spent the rest of the movement to get out. If aout BA to turn into his elf form again. 

Val is able to take down one of the rats and get past the other, as he slithers past it though it makes a opportunity attack: 18 Dmg: 1

Val is able to slip out of the mouse hole. He finds himself in the basement. An animated armor guarding the way up sees him turn into an elf and moves to attack.

Val's turn.

"wait wait" he says " I am a guest of Lord Vladimir I was trying to help with the rats problem" he yells and tries to avoid the armor attacks.
