The armor collapses on the floor in heap. The party makes their way to safe room according to Vlad's direction. You find yourself in front of a steel door in a darker corner of a large bedroom. Vlad and Runt are waiting in front of the steel door, guarding it for Victor.
As you approach, Vlad asks, "Ah you're back. Did you have any luck with the shapeshifting assassin?"
“My Lord” says Valearyn immediately “there’s no such assassin there is no danger for anyone in the house l. I must apologize I was trying to scare away the rats that lives in your walls and I am afraid your armies misunderstood my intentions.. this is a whole misunderstanding and I beg your pardon, I was trying to do you a favor scaring away the rats as a token of gratitude for your kind hospitality. I am terribly sorry for making you think there was any real danger”
For just a brief second, Devarus looks almost surprised at Val's admission. But then with a solemn sounding sigh, a hand is put to the half-drow's chest as he bowed partway. "It is as my compatriot here has said. I... am sorry for influencing the misconception. At the time, I knew not how to best to respond given the circumstances. Fortunately, noone was severely hurt in the process, but..." He trailed off there with his eyes lowered and lips pressed into a thin frown.

Elsara seems to be a little tense, she really doesn't want to be making an enemy of a noble through a small incident like this. Hopefully Lord Vladimir will understand it was all a misunderstanding. She does check with her magic sense to make sure that there isn't any weird magic in the walls or around them anyway; who knows, there could be an actual assassin that no one was aware of!
Vlad processes what he's told with some nods. He then says, "It's alright. You've caused quite the chaos but it was a misunderstanding. Your intentions were good but it caused problems. You may all go back to your rooms now. I will go and tell Victor that there is no assassin."
Val would notice something strange. Despite everything that happened, Vlad seems quite calm and unbothered by it. He isn't the slightest bit bothered by what just happened and what he was told. In fact, his calmness and lack of any annoyance whatsoever is very unusual for any host. He's too "okay with everything" to the point that it can be considered suspicious.
"Thank you for your understanding MyLord" says Val and he shares a concern look with the rest of the group. "May I ask if we can take some tea before going back to bed? I really need it for relaxing. Would you join me my friends? " he asks to the others.
Elsara nods. "Perhaps Lord Victor would also like to join us." She suggests. "I'm sure having to be busied about at night for a misunderstanding must be a bit annoying."
Vlad says, "Tea sounds like a splendid idea. I will inform our guest at once. In fact, I might join you as well." Vlad then disappears into the room behind him that he was guarding.
Devarus shoulders sagged in relief. Yet, seeing's Val's look, the half-drow raised a brow at the request. Before he can say anything, things move on to a point of becoming more visibly confused at all, but not raising any word of complaint. At first, anyways. "Courting? I... am sorry, but... what do you mean courting? D-did... I mean, he only offered a chair beside him. Where is this courting coming from?"

Elsara shushes Devarus, given this is gossip she wants to keep to whispers. "Shh, Lord Vladimir is obviously smitten with Miss Runt. I don't think he gets out much, so he's trying his best. Honestly, you don't see it? Oh yeah, he did try and sneak in to visit Miss Runt earlier on before all this happened." She giggles. "I think he might be the type to recite poetry."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Being the paranoid old man that he is, and totally NOT because of any fatherly instincts, Devarus lofts a brow trying to gauge if Runt was being serious or not. Because while he might've been half out of it trying to avoid standing out in the presence of a full blooded drow, he could've sworn he hadn't missed the woman's hesitation earlier with just sitting down nearby the lord earlier...
Deva clearly feels something is very unusual about the whole thing. However, what he isn't sure of though is whether he feels that way because something is actually fishy or if its because he's being the Party Dad.
Vlad comes out of the room with Victor in tow. He announces, "Come! Let's all have tea now. Follow me to the dining room." He walks back the way the party came to get to the safe room and moves to the dining room where the party had dinner. He would pull a chair next to him for Runt to sit in and order the maid to make tea for everyone.
Elsara is happy to have some tea, ready to take a seat with her friends, as well as Lords Victor and Vladimir. She attempts to be proper, recalling what she read about in novels and hoping her manners aren't too disgraceful. "So, I did a bit of memory jogging, and I believe that the staff you have there is actually of witchery descent."Elsara mentions as a bit of banter for the time being, happy to gab about whatever is going on. She nods to said staff as they drink tea. "It must be a mighty gift to be trusted with it."
Devarus nodded along and followed suit after the others. Yet the fires of suspicion refused to abate even in the presence of Vlad. He tries at least to effect a gentile expression, and nodded along amicably at Elsara's story. However, when drinks do arrive he had no intention of accepting even a sip. And unlike before, he had less a problem meeting Vlad's face. "Indeed, Lord Vlad. Tell us again how you came about it per se, if you would? Directly, wasn't it? And, I know a gentlemen doesn't usual kiss and tell, but... you two weren't smitten at one point, perhaps?" He asked, raising a suggestive brow.

(My mention was for Victor to join them, as well as Vlad. Not sure if that was skipped or purposely ignored.)
((Sorry I misread "Victor" as "Vlad" I have now edited my previous post to reflect that))
(Thanks)
Elsara looks to Runt. "So nothing bad happened here, right?" She asks, then in more of a whisper. "He didn't try any courting, did he?"

Mr Vlad seems like a fine man. A bit lonely perhaps. I can understand that. Runt smiles slightly as she talks about her host.

"Wow, he must really have left a good impression in those five minutes." Elsara grins. "You weren't too keen on him when we were talking earlier."
