Showing real frustration with the vampire spawn and the whole situation and literally growling at Runt for giving up the cloth Valwaryn fires at the vampire hoping to end this once and for all.
Runt roars and places herself between Deva grappling the vampire and where Val is shooting her from. I promised! Runt proclaims in frustrated fury. She told us what we wanted, yes? Then pack is made and we will let her go. I will not be party to breaking an oath! If she someday returns to bring us harm, then my axe will fall on her neck. But until then I will not dishonor myself as an oathreaker. She stamps blackflower against the ground before Val and looks over he shoulder to Deva. Let. Her. Go.
Runt will intercept Vals shot, taking the hit herself if needed
"We've made a promise before that Remember? "says Val while notching another arrow "We swore that they all will die. She and her master are no longer alive. Do not be fooled. They are abominations, they have dropped from the Natural Order and threaten the very existence of the balance." he loads his bow again "Now my friend step aside. I made no deal with this creature, take no part on this and you promised will be kept. But allow me to keep mine. It is my duty to keep the balance of the Mother. "
Runt is very conflicted, but she holds steady. Leave her alone. Atleast for today. I know how it feels to be outcast and unwanted. If she is so bad then she can't help but betray us. And if she does I will aid you in her death. But please, give her chance.
Runt looks to Val with pleading in her eyes.

Between grunts of both pain and frustration, Devarus manages to get out a few words calling for the Vamp to "be still", but is otherwise only tangently aware of the rise in tensions and words exchanged in the heat of the moment. But once he felt he at least had a decent grip, keen ears twitched and his mind began to race as some things start to piece together. After a few seconds he finally says or command really, "For the love of -- We are NOT in the best condition for all this nonsense! VALWYRN! Lower your blasted bow. If it comes to it, we can and SHALL deal with her later. But not NOW!"
He then whispers tersely for the spawn's ears, "I'm going to let you up. Run quick. And pray we never cross paths again." He continue to hold her down for a few seconds more just to let his words sink in. Then true to his word, he promptly back peddled off of her and to his feet, shield forward and eyes glued to the vampiress to make sure she made no sudden moves to attack the others. Valwyrn included. Not without him stepping in to intercept her again with another shove.

Val doesn't put his bow down and keeps looking at the spawn.
"I do pity her. I do pity her soul. She probably was a good person. Was I am afraid. Now that the curse has taken root she cannot help it. You own nothing to this creature, she will turn into someone like the one we are hunting. There is no turning back. The death and pain she will inflict in this world will weight on your shoulders. She cannot help it, she must kill to survive, prey on the innocent. But their souls doesn't come back to the Mother as it should be, their souls got lost and dammed like hers. Allow me to end her suffering and prevent others... "
Making use of this chaos, the Vampire spawn makes a mad dash for the canopies, using the black cloth to try and shield herself from the sunlight long enough to get in the shade.
While keeping as much an eye on the fleeing vamp as he could, Devarus scrambled to his feet, yet seemed torn afterwards. If Valwyrn tried to shoot at the creature, he... couldn't bring himself to interfere. Not without further encouragement from Runt or Elsara. But if he caught the sounds of Valwyrn readying to run her down on the otherhand in a more reckless pursuit, /that/ is when the old half-drow would step in to try and hold him back. Or failing that, pursue the elf to from getting taken down or worse.
If or When she was long gone one way or another, Devarus took what time he could catching his breath and roll sore muscles a bit. "We have our intel. Now we find some place to rest. Just long enough to get ourselves sorted out before we seek to finish this mission." He then looks more pointedly to Valwyrn. "I won't pretend to fully understand how you feel, or even why you were so driven as you were just then. I sympathize of course, but even so... what you did was far too reckless." He stated firmly.
"She'd already had plenty enough time to recover that if anything -- ANYTHING had gone wrong, it wouldn't have been just your life lost. And trust me when I say, things would've gone south far swifter than you can imagine, sunlight tricks and... and a united front or not." He added; his tone edging towards anger and frustration. "Look around you! Look at everyone's state! I shouldn't have to tell you how dangerous a creature can be when its desperate and cornered. So don't fool yourself into think things were well in hand."

Seeing the vampire jumping and trying to escape Valwaryn fire one last arrow at her, trying to impale her in the heart before she can escape.
Attack: 27 Damage: 13
He stares at Devarus.
"And in our state you all allow a monster, an enemy who was at our mercy thanks to the sun to escape and be able to come back later to finish off us. " he simply reply he then look at all of them at the eyes and simply says.
"You owed her nothing. You told me that we will hunt this monsters and end them before we returned to the mansion. I Yet... you all decided than your word to her weighted more than your word to me. I didn't asked for your help. You gave her your word, not mine." he pauses " I do think you should meditate about this... I'll make last watch. "
(To FrandalSilveryes: I keep trying to find out where this promise kept being made that Val's referring to that the party made, but coming up nada. But Devarus is not exactly the smartest man in the world or the wisest. So going to blame for now the stress of the situation and bad memory for what's to follow.)
"I-... The only promise I-..." Devarus groans and shakes his head. "She was /not/ as much at our mercy than you think, Valwyrn. And I was /not/ ready to risk everyone's lives on a misconception born zealotry. But /if/ she does return, then at the very least we will be in a better position to be ready for her. But if you can't see that then..." He sighed. "... there's no point to this arguing. What's done is done. We'll take a short rest here, cool our heads, and then... return to our lizards to either try and cover a bit of some ground or set camp for the evening."

I honestly doubt it would matter in the grand scheme of things. The Vampire still has too much HP to get taken out by 11 damage. ((Regeneration when not in sunlight/ no radiant damage)
If it was indeed magical, I was thinking I would "rule of cool" it this one time and ask Val for an unmodified d20 to "Confirm Crit" Vamp dies if he got a second nat20. Because Luck.
(DM Yeah it was. he was trying to kill/ impale her but me as a player didn’t expect that to work or to get a nat 20!)
(Mehmen: No actual promises were made but there were a general consensus to end the vampire. Val is referring to that and the fact that he thinks it is their responsibility to finish that threat. He will explain further)
((Alright then. Val, roll another d20. If you get another nat20, the vampire spawn is insta-killed with an ultra lucky shot. You may choose to not roll here and let the vampire get away for OoC reasons if what you want as a player does not quite line up with what Val would want.))
Val's arrow hit the Vampire in the back with deadly accuracy. It went completely through the maid and created a large hole in her torso. However, the arrow missed her heart and so, in spite of what would have been a mortal wound for any normal person, the vampire manages to flee into the woods, spouting profanities at the party as she gets away.

Val downs his bow and shakes his head.
"I fear that we will regret this. I wouldn't understand why you all felt bound by keep her safe. As I said. She could have been a victim... but she is no longer one. She is as evil as the one who created her. It is not zealotry. It is the way it is."he looks to Devarus " I do not have quarrel with predators and the cicle of life and death, in fact, one of my jobs in this world is to prevent it. But you must understand. This creatures had broken that circle. They no longer form part of that cicle and the only way to reestablish their souls to it is to end that condition. You think you've shown mercy to her. "he negates " you've condeem her to an existence of hate, hunger and pain, to herself and to others. And put ourselves in danger, both the next nights and in our coming quest. They are bound to their masters, she is probably running towards him to warn him, despite her feelings for him, I highly doubt that she will betray him. Are we exhausted? Yes, I will be dead if it weren't for you and I can barely raise my bow... but I would rather die protecting others than leaving that creature free. Try to explain to the weeping mother of a children devoured by one of those creatures that you had the chance to prevent it, but you were too worried of what would had happened in a fight... Our chosen path is not an easy one, it it were, anyone could do it. I will find a place for us to rest, we should be going as soon as possible to find the Master. I only hope it is not too late for our noble."
With that the wood elf turns and tries to locate a clear with enough space for them to make camp and have as much sunlight as possible during the day.
Val: The place where the mansion burned down is now a really good clearing with lots of sunlight, if that's where you'd like to set up camp. You could also shoot more holes in the canopy where you had the vampire to create a bigger ring of sunlight to rest inside. Going into the forest would also work but this forest is very thick and you're not likely to find any place with bright light.
There's also the carriage that you came to the forest in. you can rest there too.
