"Not to mention we have a few here quite capable of following his trail if needed. If anything, the fact that we're having a conversation at all is one of those very mercies my compatriot here has mentioned. If you would prefer to spite us in favor of the one that frankly abandoned you knowing more than likely that we'd return with far more ferocity.... then that is your choice. But I would urge you all the same not to do so, if but to properly direct that spite to the one truly due it." Devarus further asserts in a calmer voice now that the vampiress was detained.

The Vampire sneers and says, "That idiot can go to hell for all I care. But if you have no intention of letting me go, then why not give you one final ****-you. I can tell you where he went but why should I?"
"She doesn't fear death but still want us to let her go and live... " Val says looking at her but answering to Runt "You should tell us where that idiot went " he says using the same term she used "So we can hunt him and you'll have your revenge for abandoning you... teach him a lesson out of spite. If you don't tell us where he is... he would have win... and you don't want that either. "
The vampire responds, "Unless you get on board with letting me go, I think I dislike you more. Last I checked, you're the ones that are trying to kill me. If I'm getting destroyed either way, I'd rather spite you than him. So what will it be? If you spend too long trying to track the idiot down in this forest, he might just get away or... get a new Vampire Spawn, if you know what I mean. Or you can just hand me a piece of that dark curtain over there and I'll tell you where the idiot and his noble snack went."
“You attacked us in the first place. We only came back looking for information. But it seems that you have a chance….” Says Valwaryn gesturing to Runt.
Devarus glares at the woman before looking up to the canopy in consideration. After a pregnant pause, Devarus sighs and looks at the Vampire Spawn again with a stern look. "Perhaps a show of good faith, at the very least from you. For as I said before, we don't /need/ you. But your cooperation would be appreciated, and even warrant..." He trails off with a grimace, then took another breath as if to steel himself. "-a stay of execution in allowing you to flee altogether. But before that, I would need -- WE would need more than your word... I would ask that you tell us everything you know of your lord's abilities and your own. It's already been made fairly clear at this point that he has some ability to magically coerce the living, considering our previous interactions with our missing noble. But does for instance the same applied to you? Does your lord have any special hold of you or deeper connection? For I shan't make no presumption that your willingness to preserve your own skin is simply a matter of self-preservation."

The vampire maid scoffs, "I'm surprised you've come vampire hunting without knowing what vampires are capable off. As far as vampires go, he isn't that special. He can do what any vampire does. He has a supernatural ability to charm people into obedience. I think your half-orc friend knows that all too well. When he bites people to death, they raise as a vampire spawn like me. Then he doesn't need his charm to order them around. I'm still pissed at him for biting me to get maid services without paying me. He can do the stuff I can but he bites more often. Also he can summon wolves and bats and rats. Also he can turn into a mist if he's about to get killed. He'll head straight for his resting place. Fight him in running water or sunlight to stop that from happening. Or don't. With you destroying the house, I have no clue where he's going to go."
"I know where he went." The maid states, "You ever hear of the town of Alisfield? Of course you haven't. It's deep in the forest and not on any map. It's Northeast of here next to the river. It's a town of ghosts and skeletons that worship the Lich King and eat moldy bread. Of course Vlad showed up one day and declared himself lord of that village and demanded taxes from them. Would have probably demanded a sacrifice every now and then for blood reasons but... ghosts and skeletons so no blood to be found. He went there to stock up on supplies and possibly take more of their gold."
"See? that wasn't so hard" says Valwaryn. He then fires an arrow to break the canopy just above her head and he steps into one of the lights they already did.
"Now it is time to give your soul peace" he says firing another one.
I know I just posted two actions, let me know if you want to do this like a combat.
(Not going into combat but it's not going to be an instantaneous effect. It would take 3 "Rounds" for the Vampire to die from sunlight damage so this would give people to react)
The Vampire screams as the sunlight sizzles as it touches her skin. Smoke starts pouring from her. With Runt holding the dark cloth, the Vampire lunges toward her trying to get at the cloth to protect itself from the sunlight before she gets disintegrated.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As much as Devarus disliked the notion of bartering with the vampire the old man meant to keep to his word. The party were hardly in any condition to fight and he'd seen plenty of battles go south from the desperation of some cornered criminals. Which had been why he took a step back in both surprise and shock at Val's action! "Valwyrn! What have you--" He's interrupted hearing the screams of the vampire, and turned back just in time to see her lunge for Runt.
At that point Devarus acted on instinct in trying to intercept the vamp with a lunge of his own, hoping to tackle her to the ground and hold her there until the sun could do its work!
1st Attack - Grapple Attempt with a 5.
2nd Attack - If above Grapple attempt is successful, attempting to shove Vamp prone with a 20. Otherwise try again to grapple her.

Bump. Waiting on Runt. Because the vampire lunged at her and tried to get the cloth out, what she decides to do has a lot of weight on the series of events that will play out now.
The Vampire manages to grab the cloth just in time to protect herself before being tackled to the ground by Deva. The cloth is protecting her from the sun for now but if she can't get out of here, it would be bad. She flails about trying to escape the hold.
Athletics: 7 vs Deva: 13
Deva manages to hold down the Vampire but it might be a lot more risky now that she is able to shield herself at least a little bit with the cloth.

Runt cuts in with a comment. This thrall does not fear death. Threats will not work. We must bargain with something else.

Runt would keep her word. She promised she would not hurt the vampire so she gives up the cloth.
She also gives Val a disapproving look.

Actually no. In this instance there is no take backs.
Vampire's Athletics: 6
