By the title, you thought it would be a book about magic. However, it turns out to be a comedy about 3 Wizards, 2 Druids, a Fighter and a Cleric. It is full of crude jokes some of which are funny, most are mean-spirited and some of which are plain unfunny.
Folki, Catherine says, "The Guild can always trade any valuables you find for currency."
"Perhaps we could sell that jewels and add the resting money to buy potions for everyone. We can even add money if needed to complete the transaction."
He will then go with Elsara to make sure that the sheeps are going to be well care. Once that is done he will roam the nearby forest and spent the night out if it's not raining.
#1868 - What should I add to my inventory? #1922 - Should I add 37GP 4 SP 2 CP or did DM already do that? Is everyone at 485 XP at the completion of the quest?
Having provided the deed from Jay's estate to Catherine, Gendan says, "I hope the guild can put the property to good use."
During the downtime, Gendan will look for a vendor to offload some of the things in her pack.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
1. If Gendan would search the dead bandits, she would get: 1 Studded Leather Armor, 3 Scimitars, 1 Dagger, 1 Javelin, 1 GP 6 SP 2. I did not add anything. Please add the 37GP 4SP and 2CP to your character sheet. 3. Everyone should be at 485 XP
Gendan finds the town armory. A female Half-elf greets you as you enter. "Good day, Miss. How may I help you?"
“Good morning. I’m hoping to sell some goods to lighten my load. What price might I fetch for these?”
Gendan presents the following items from her sack: Battleaxe (blue), 20 crossbow bolts (OE), light crossbow (OE), leather armor (leftover from Evans’ hideout, I think), longbow (purple).
(Sorry, I can’t do formatting right now. OE = original equipment.)
The woman inspects the equipment and nods. "The light crossbow and the battleaxe seem to be in need of a bit repair. The longbow is as good as new. The rest need to be dismantled for materials."
She offers you: 4GP 5SP for the Battleaxe 8SP for the Crossbow Bolts. 11GP 2SP 5CP for the Light Crossbow 5CP for the Leather Armor 45GP for the Longbow. TOTAL: 60 GP 15SP 10CP
(pssst folki could really use the leather armour for the materials. He has been obviously complaining about how he needs some way to hold his javelins and new greatsword.....)
Folki exchanges the jewellery with Catherine, but keeps a simple silver band ring which he slips onto his left thumb (let me know how much that is and he'll sub that from his split of the money)
After trying them on for size, folki keeps two silver rings. One is a large twisted thing, three bands sliding over each other as he puts it on his thumb, and the other is a simple thick ring with a circular plain iron face rising about a quarter inch out of it, which he shimmies onto his middle finger on the same hand (btw folki only has three fingers on each hand, no-pinky) all in all they are worth about 8SP
Gendan will hold on to the leather to give to Folki and sell the rest. She will keep the proceeds from the original equipment and split the proceeds from the longbow and battle axe with the party.
”Can you make change for 3 SP for me, I need to split this when I get back?”
When Gendan gets back and gives Folki the scabby armour he grabs it with a huge smile " thank you! This will be perfect!”
Disappearing for the next few hours, he comes back later with his creation. Using his woodcarving tools he's managed to crudely cut the leather, sewing pieces together to create a long quiver. It is strapped to his back between his wings with the straps tied together at the front so he doesn't have to pull it over his wings. His javelins sit in it, if he reaches over his shoulder he can easily pull them out. His greatsword, still in its sheath that they found near ambush point (introspective RP), is held onto the side of the quiver by two straps. If Folki reaches under his wing behind his back and pulls on them, they come loose and the greatsword will drop off.
”thats better, don't need to hang everything on my backpack now!"
With the left over cash, and assuming can get the right coinage from Catherine, it comes out as 1pp 2gp 9sp 3cp each with 5cp left over(-8sp for folki for simplicity)
(Do you want Elsara to do anything for her research in the old tome? I know she's flicked through it before, but she's being more in depth with it this time)
Elsara tries hard to unlock the secrets of the tome. She learns the name of the 9th School of Magic. It takes a lot of time. The name is "Affectus Uti" which directly translates to "Use of Emotion"

Val, after collecting his share, will say.

(Folki still hasn't said what he wants to do with the Jewelry. Catherine agreed to exchange it for currency.)

(I don't know. You decide. I'll just treat it as Folki picking a piece that suits his tastes)

"Sure." She gives you the change.

What is Folki going to do with the remaining 7PP 6GP 6SP from the Jewelry?
With the left over cash, and assuming can get the right coinage from Catherine, it comes out as 1pp 2gp 9sp 3cp each with 5cp left over(-8sp for folki for simplicity)
Also will you add money to each character or do you want us to do it?
You do it. If I do it for some reason (Like with Jay) I will tell you guys
(Do you want Elsara to do anything for her research in the old tome? I know she's flicked through it before, but she's being more in depth with it this time)
(Thanks for reminding me. I forgot about it)
