Sylyra holds his hands up in a gesture of surrender. "I do not want to harm you," he says, taking a step forward. He extends one hand out toward the bull while leaving the other up in the air. "I can help the stings burn less if you will allow me to help you." He continues far enough to extend his hand just far enough over the fence that the bull could touch it. If the bull comes forward, he will cast cure wounds on the bull.
The bull takes a few steps back upon Sylyra's approach, looking for all its might like it is about to attempt to charge and gore the druid. It calms slightly upon translation, then takes hesitant steps forward despite the rage still evident in its glare. Once healed, its relief comes out in a huff before it backs away again, still standing defiantly on the other side of the pasture.
For Hex and Sylyra:
The bull's huff translates to an almost grateful, "Thanks". It has definitely calmed from your original approach.
Sylyra smiles and steps away from the fence. Looking at Hex, the druid's face shows a bit of regret. "I'm not sure it would be safe for either of us to enter the fence to question the cows. It's also unlikely they would have witnessed anything the bull missed. Should we join Uragum and Briny in looking around the barn and house? There may also be witnesses in there."
Hex expression mirrors Sylyra's and she nods. "Sounds good." She walks alongside the druid as they head to re-join Briny and Uragum, looking around for any critters or wandering livestock that may have seen something.
Hex and Sylyra rejoin Briny and Uragum at the farmhouse, seeing now the similar scene in the small home. Aside from their livestock seeming more intact, the Tralios look to have met a very similar fate.
Area Description:
The simple and small farmhouse displays obvious signs of a struggle; the doors are broken in, and there are minor blood splatters along the wall and floor, but there are no further clues or evidence. The amount of blood pales in comparison to the trail found by Sylyra leading from the pasture toward the trail leading to the river
Hex hums in agreement with Sylyra and heads outside to speak with Taroo. "It looks like we're going to have to head down the river. Do you know what's down it? Does it lead to the marsh? Romsan said it was unlikely to be lizardfolk doing the kidnapping but the green men the bull mentioned sound more lile lizardfolk than kobolds..."
Hex nods at Briny. "It was quite agitated so we weren't really able to get much but he mentioned some "green men" hurt him. He even killed one of them, by the sounds of it. I'm assuming that's what this huge blood trail is from."
A steady cold rain has started amidst the party's discussion. Now that Hex and Sylyra have moved away from the pasture, the bull seems content to step away himself, moving away from the fenceline toward the other livestock.
"Yeah, downriver heads to the Twilight Marsh," Taroo says, scratching the back of his head. "I can't say I'm keen on going that way myself. If you're heading into lizardfolk territory, I'll stay at the farms to tend to the animals still here and lock up the buildings, then go back upriver for the night. Just untie my boat and leave it on the gravel bar before you go."
"And thanks for looking into this. These are good people. They don't deserve to be taken like this, and if you can't bring them home, then...well, they deserve justice."
"Killed one you say? Lizard folk in the marsh? Then all clues point to the Lizard folk being the culprits. That said... are they the masterminds or merely the muscle? Questions leading to more questions. All in all though, we are wading into enemy territory. Best be prepared for an ambush." Uragum says.
Hex places a soft hand on Taroo's shoulder and smiles as he thanks them. "Of course. We'll do our best to save as many as we can and put an end to these kidnappings."
"Hm... I know you'd rather not come along, but I was hoping we could borrow the boat. Are there any other boats we could borrow? Either on the farms or in town?"
OOC: The keelboat that you took to the farms is yours to use. Romsan had turned that boat over to you for the investigation. Taroo's own personal boat was tied to the keelboat to trail behind it.
Sylyra is ready to go. He appears in a little better spirits after talking to the bull and leaving Taroo behind. Someone overhears the elf mumbling to himself about "townies" as they head back toward the river. He is the first to board the watercraft and nimbly unties the rope keeping the smaller boat attached. He pushes the boat toward the shore and someone else's waiting hands. After that, he heads to stand at the front of their vessel. He clearly expects someone else to do the launching.
Hex catches Taroo's boat as Sylyra pushes it towards the shore and pulls it inland enough that it won't float away into the river. She then hops onto the keelboat and, once everyone is on, launches it. "You're gonna help row this time, aren't you?" she calls out to Sylyra.
The elf continues to watch the river ahead, assuming Hex is talking to someone else. He glances up at the sky to judge how much more of the day is left.
Sylyra looks down at the tiefling, his gaze at first looking dangerous. But when Hex doesn't react, he rolls his eyes and sighs dramatically. "You three can't accomplish anything without me." He turns and extends an upturned palm. "Give me a pole."
Hex grins and pats Sylyra on the back. "Well since you want to be at the front, you can guide the boat!" She hands him the pole located at the prow before walking back to one of the other four poles and taking a seat.

If it comes:
cure wounds: 12

Briny's curiosity is piqued at that remark. "Oh, then you actually got something useful from the cows?"
Hex nods at Briny. "It was quite agitated so we weren't really able to get much but he mentioned some "green men" hurt him. He even killed one of them, by the sounds of it. I'm assuming that's what this huge blood trail is from."

(Ohh oops. My bad, I totally forgot haha. Ignore that second part then.)
If everyone is good to go, Hex would suggest they leave for the marsh as soon as possible and bid farewell to Taroo.
