Navi flit and flutters humming to herself along the way as if the tree whispers were a version of maraca shakers and the jingle jangles were bar chimes, until well, she saw the nice individuals all covered in keys. She beams in excitement. "Mercion, we may have found Jingle Jangle." She smiles.
"And yeah. We bringin' peace, we ain't no bringing no harm. Just so we're all clear." Says Faelan to make sure they understand they come in peace.

The goblin called Jingle Jangle smiles at each member of the group in turn, although the smile toward Faelan appears forced, more like a grimace. She shuffles forward and takes a brief look at the cage and the faerie dragon contained therein, but makes no comment about the request for keys. Instead, she moves into the back of the cave and returns with four small wooden chairs, placing them out for the group to sit on, and then squats down on the floor with legs crossed, all the time with a few nervous glances at Faelan – and his scarf.
Jingle Jangle would offer you some refreshment, but sadly Jingle Jangle has no food to provide to guests. Jingle Jangle was digging for truffles in the swamp when a group of harengons leapt out from behind the reeds and shrubbery. They took Jingle Jangle’s truffles, threw Jingle Jangle down in the mud, and whacked Jingle Jangle with their wooden clubs. Jingle Jangle hopes the hill wasn’t too unwelcoming to you – it isn’t as strict about the Rule of Three as Jingle Jangle is…
The Rule of Three! whispers Mercion helpfully to Zeg (who is the closest to the cage). It seems to be the custom here. Hospitality, Ownership, and Reciprocity. I think the goblin is concerned about these…
Faelan is the closest to the goblin, and can see that there are several bruises and cuts on her skin, although they have started to heal, and his guess is that they are about three days old.

Navi flutters over dipping her head to Jingle Jangle. Accepting their hospitality she comes over and plops her bum on one of the provided chairs. It might have been the first time anyone’s seen her sit in a chair. Having listened attentively to Mercion’s note, the little fairy starts fidgets for a few moments while her companions speak first “Maybe we can get their truffles back?” She thinks out loud. Using her druidcraft, Navi would produce an oak leaf to represent hospitality, a Lilly of the valley for returning happiness, and a periwinkle for early and sincere friendship. She’d then present the trio together to Jingle Jangle.
Mercion whispers rapidly back to Zeg: It seems there are three rules of conduct in this place. The Rule of Hospitality states that you are expected to be gracious and accommodating when anyone enters your home - friend, stranger, enemy - anyone. The Rule of Ownership states that you don't take something that doesn't belong to you - not even from an enemy. And the Rule of Reciprocity is that if someone offers you a gift - anyone - you are obliged to accept it and offer something of equal value in return. It seems these rules were made by Zybilna, but with her indisposed... well, I don't think everyone abides by the rules.
Jingle-Jangle politely shakes her head at the offer of food from Flynn. Oh no, no, no. Jingle-Jangle would be a most ungracious host to take food from a guest. Although... you said you wanted a key for the cage. If Jingle-Jangle were to find one... would that be a suitable gift in return for your food?
Faelan's reassurances (and the removal of the scarf), combined with Navi's presentation of flowers causes the goblin to relax noticeably. She jumps up from her crouched position and shakes each person's hand in turn (repeating Nice peoples, nice peoples) before running off to start digging through the mounds of keys that lay piled around the cave. As she rummages, her dialogue switches back and forth between a monologue about her troubles and comments on the keys she is sorting through:
Nice peoples these are. Not like them nasty rabbit-thieves, stealing Jingle-Jangle's truffles. Someone ought to give them a good shaking down so they know what it feels like! Is this it? No, the post is too pointy. But even they aren't as bad as that old witch, Slack-Jawed Lorna. Never ask for help from a witch! What about this one? No, the shank is too short. Jingle-Jangle was afraid of being stuck behind locked doors, wasn't she! But what does old Lorna do when Jingle-Jangle asks for help? Takes away Jingle-Jangle's fear, yes, but makes Jingle-Jangle think of nothing but keys. Poor Jingle-Jangle! Ah! This it is! Twin bit. Bridge Ward. Wide collar. Yes, this will do!
The goblin shuffles back toward Flynn, still clutching the rations and the flowers, and holds out the key, smiling.
What is that? asks Jingle-Jangle, pointing at the bagpipes as Flynn takes the key.

Jingle-Jangle hums a tune (not unlike one that Flynn has played on the bagpipes before) and watches as Flynn inserts the key in the lock. It is a perfect fit, and with an easy turn, the lock snaps open! With unrestrained eagerness, Mercion launches out of the cage and flies up to the cavern ceiling, then swoops down and out the cave door. There are a few tense moments when it is uncertain if the faerie dragon is gone for good, but then she returns again, swooping back into the goblin's home and lands on the top of the cage. Curling the leathery wings in, Mercion sighs deeply and says:
Ah, that is wonderful. Do you know that the witch transformed me and immediately shoved me in that cage, so I had never even used these wings before now. How exhilarating! Thank you, Jingle-Jangle. And thank you, my friends, for bringing me here. There will be a reckoning with that witch, I swear it - and not for my sake alone, but also for you, Jingle-Jangle and your own misfortune. That is my promise to you in return for your gift to me.
Jingle-Jangle bows to Mercion, her shirt of keys jingling and jangling as she does so, and claps her hands gleefully, but gives no further reply. Instead, Jingle-Jangle turns to the group and asks: Is this the end of your journey?
