It is entirely possible that the snort that escapes Kathra is one of laughter and not annoyance, but it's difficult to be sure. "Of course. My uh, 'dwarven charm' has been quite useful thus far."
((So it's my turn to be off to a weekend wedding. I won't have a lot of time to manage things for the next couple of days. Feel free to deliberate amongst yourselves until I get back Sunday evening.))

"The mongoose blew out its candle and was asleep in bed before the room went dark." —Llanowar fable
((Quick question for everyone while Meta is away. He spoke of everyone possibly getting a magic item in the beginning (I already had my sword from last adventure). Did that you vet happen. If so, anyone care to share what it is? You can choose to do the dramatic reveal as well, just curious))
((Yeah, I was considering handing some out before hand, but I thought of a fun way to weave some into the story instead.))
((So, if I understand, everyone is going to go talk to some dwarves at the watchtower before heading north?))
It doesn't take much effort for your group to shuffle its way through the muddy street over to the two guards huddling under the tower awning. The first of the two looks up from under his oiled cloak and mutters under his breath "My, we're busy today." The second clears his throat and gives him a stiff nudge. The first one says a little more formally and with greater volume, "Welcome to Rockmount, pride of the Krakhal clan. What can us public servants do for you today?"
Both dwarves eye you suspiciously when you ask about happenings north of town. "Ain't nothing up the mountain that would concern nobody. Just drunken tales told by our town's more colorful wastrels."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mirabel smiles widely. "Tell me, have either of you fine gentlemen seen a ruffled looking avian fellow? About this tall, doesn't say much, likes to eat things off the ground?"

(Is he still riding on Mirabel’s shoulder)
((No, he flew off to find a dry tree for a bit.))
“Kathra, maybe you should put your...Dwarven charm to use on the guards at the watchtower to see if they know anything of these disturbances”

Peren says “As always” with a half smile

((So what does everyone think our next move should be?))
Head north and see what we find
Talk to watchtower guys (I vote for this)
Make a supply run (I don’t need anything currently)
Other suggestions
I say talk to the watchtower guys then head north
((We should probably retrieve Mub from whatever nonsense is happening up North. We can stop at the tower on the way!))
((Yeah, I vote for tower first, followed by finding Mub, wherever he's ended up))
(I have not a lot to add to this but if the rain lets up ill do more dig where ever i can)

(I did not get one but I'm cool)
((Yea I don't have one either, I had forgot about the magic item. I am sure we will find something during this adventure))
((Kathra's still got her weird tattoos, which is all she needs to cause trouble))
((Yeah, I was considering handing some out before hand, but I thought of a fun way to weave some into the story instead.))

Peren will say to them “Good day, we have heard of some strange things happening north of here. Have you heard or seen anything strange lately?”
