Sarro

How's the orc looking?

Sarro shakes off the blow and smiles at the orc in what he hopes is an intimidating manner.

Seldor

Seldor is going to be cautious and stay back from the door.

 RUNA

Runa casts a casual glance in the direction of the mansion and, noting no obvious signs of trouble like smoke or flames, quickly returns her attention to the fight. She winces as Sarro takes a hit and cheers him on as he recovers and comes back for more.

THE ARENA

The bell rings for the break and as the orc turns to head to his handler he staggers and falls. Sarro is declared the winner. The crowd howls and and gasps. The Baron and the Grand Chancellor stand and applaud then Sarro notices the Chancellor eyeing him with an inquisitive stare. An ogre in chains is brought into the ring to face a cave bear.

THE HOUSE

Ammom sneaks to the door. Everyone is just standing there!?

Seldor

Seldor is still thinking that this is too easy. He'll hang back a short distance from the door and try to see if there's any possible traps that might be set if someone tries to break in.

Aydrik

Aydrik is not really sure what to do. He readies his magic.

Thurston

Thurston receives Sarro patting him in the shoulder and gives him a mug of mead. 

“Well done my friend. Well done!” 

Sarro

Sarro raises his hands and plays up to the crowd.

He walks out of the Arena a little bit hurt but nothing major, as he walks up to the others he whispers to Runa and Thurston,

"be careful out there, I think the chancellor recognized me from last night, and he got a better look at the two of you than he did me."

Diangar Legna

Diangar continues to keep watch of the arena while the current fight of an ogre and a bear is going on. "Sarro is very skilled." He says to himself. "I wonder how the others are doing in the mansion." He pauses for a moment in thought. "What if he has it on his person?" His eyes begins to stare at the baron. "The Doctor did say it was a trophy to him." He begins to scan the baron.

Just out of curiosity, how far is the arena from the Baron's house?

Also, if anything hostile comes out of the door, Seldor will cast Frostbite.

The intro was to be a complete adventure on its own. It has gone flat. I am going to hit the fast forward here and see if it gets rolling again. 

Inside the house Ammom and crew find a three safes in the Baron's bedroom hidden behind paintings of his late wives. One contains a bag of 12 rings made of silver and gold. The second holds documents, deeds and titles. The third holds a beautiful hand carved oak box. Inside the box is a very large rainbow colored prismatic crystal on a platinum chain, the likes of which you've never seen before.

They scale back out the window, go around the corner and run straight into the Grand Chancellor's assistant from the Wayby Inn. He screams out  "ALARM ALARM! THIEVES! ALARM ALARM!" A half dozen armed men come charging from the other direction and begin to yell out as well. The group pushes past the assistant and flees towards a back door into the arena hoping to lose the guards in the crowd.

Inside the arena they hear the announcer. "ENTERING THE PIT TO FACE THE MADMAN MASHER, THE BROTHER AND SISTER OF BEDLAM, THE SIBLINGS OF SORROW, THE TWINS OF TERROR, THE FEARSOME FIGHTING FAMILY OF FROSTENHAMENBURGER, RURSTON AND THUNAAAA! AND NOW MAKING HIS WAY INTO THE ARENA, THE UNDEFEATED MASTER OF MAYHEM MAKING HIS TRIUMPHANT RETURN, MADMAN MASHERRRRRRRRR! 

The crowd turns to watch Masher enter the arena. Thurston notices the Grand Chancellor pointing at him as he whispers in the Baron's ear. The Baron gestures to an armed assistant near him, points at Thurston and whispers to him. The assistant raises his hand, extends a finger, motions a circle and points at Thurston and Runa.

Ammom, and company come through the back door into the arena and are spotted by the Grand Chancellor. He jumps to his feet pointing and shouting, "SOMEBODY GET THOSE BASTARDS!"

Seldor

Seldor will cast Message towards Thurston, Runa, Sarro, and Diagnar. 

“Good news:We have the gem. Bad news: We’ve all been seen. Get ready for trouble. "

Sarro

Sarro looks around desperately for anything that could be used as a distraction, caged animals he could free,  something like that, that could get the crowd panicking.

Perception: 18

Seldor

"How about you sit down and be quiet before anyone does something that they might regret?"

And as Seldor says that he's going to cast Charm Person. The Chancellor is going to have to make a DC 13 Wisdom Save.

Ammom

A flashback strikes Ammom of his time back at the Inn. He takes a marking instrument (candle wax or quill ink and brush) to the three paintings of the females. Ammom marks “HA!” on each of the paintings before putting the paintings back in place. 

I take the box containing the crystal, ready to pull a dagger on anyone that protests. ”Best you let me have this for the time being. At the very least if we get caught, it’ll be easy for me to get away with it.” I tuck the box away in my pack and shoulder my pack before leaving the roomwith the others. “Oh shit!” I yell as we come face to face with the assistant. Seeing the guards run up on us, I yell “this way!” to the others. Not knowing the area I run in any open direction I can with the others behind me.

As I push my way through the crowd and into the arena area. I spot the Grand Chancellor just prior to him spotting us. When he sees us, I give him the finger and mouth “**** you” before he yells out. Seeing as a larger group is easier to spot, I run the opposite way of the rest of the group trying to make a break from the guard at full speed. I remove the dagger from my belt line. I try looking for a good small out of sight area to hide. A hole or tunnel a human could not fit in.

Thurston

Grabing his hammer he yells

"What's going on here?!"

Seldor

"Way to stick with the team." Seldor says as Ammom scurries away into some hole.

Arcane energy sparks around Aydrik's fingers as he stands beside Seldor, not sure what will happen.

RUNA

Runa grins as she arms herself with shield and longsword. "What's happening, little brother, is that this fight just got a whole lot more exciting."

Her gaze sweeps the arena pit and the surrounding area as she makes a quick study of who is where, threats and allies alike, so that she can calculate her next move.

OOC: I'm a little unclear on who's where, after the rest of the group came through a back door "into the arena." Are they in the fight pit itself, or out in the crowd surrounding the fight pit? Enemy-wise, I assume the Masher is in the fight pit. Any other immediate threats?

Perception roll in case you need it: 15

Thurston and Runa are in the pit. Diangar and Sarro are just outside the pit. Ammom and company are coming through the crowd from the back door, being pursued by guards. Masher is making his way through the crowd towards the pit. Various men are now scrambling around the arena attempting to confront either Thurston and company or Ammom and company. There seems to be some confusion as to who is supposed to chase who.
