I take the tools back into my hand. “Thank you Doc. No need to worry about Baron Orock holding the crystal for much longe. I know these will get the job done when it comes to it.” I want to see if I can tell what happened with the tools before I reattach them to my belt.

This Dr. Omzig was definitely a treat, and the inside of the POT show that even moreso. "It's bigger on the inside" Zotar quietly said to himself as he began thinking about what the Doctor was asking. If this Baron Orock was enemies to the Doctor, and the Doctor was powerful enough to create this, they would surely be in for an adventure. It made chill run down his spine as he thought of the power this Baron might possess. Even as his brother secured even more magic from the Doctor, Zotar poured through his memories trying to remember anything about this Baron.
((OOC: History: 13 (Have I heard of this Baron Orock? Could I possibly leverage my upbringing as a Courtier to gain advantage on this check?)))
Baron Orock, is an outcast of a noble family with rumors of being involved in slave trading. You've heard of him but he isn't much of a part of the elite culture.

Runa continues to pace idly, although her full attention is on the doctor. “Something’s definitely off about this guy,” Runa mutters, loud enough that someone standing just next to her could overhear.
Then she thinks back through everything Dr. Omzig has said. Her amused smirk fades a twitch. “Weakened state,” Runa blurts out loud, this time directly addressing Dr. Omzig. “Are you sick? This baron guy do something to you?”
The Doctor explains further. "You'll find the Baron and his private army on his compound a good days travel due east. You could try and take the crystal by force, but he has a hundred men or more. You can try and take it by stealth or magic if you have the skill, but I suggest that you find a way to exploit his biggest weakness, gambling. He's a gambling addict and he has an arena on his compound where he runs fights. Man versus man. Dog versus dog, Bear versus bear. Man versus bear. Bear versus man versus dogs. Man versus zombie. Zombie versus orc. Orc versus owlbear. Owlbear versus... I can't remember what the owlbear fought but it won! So you get the idea." The Doctor reaches into his coat pocket and pulls out a stone the size of human fist. "This is a diamond, inside a sapphire, a diapphire I suppose. It's worth at least 25,000 gold but it has no magical properties. The arcane polarities of the stones negate each other. You can use it to entice him!"

"So you want us to go to his compound and use your gem as bait to gamble for his gem. Why do you need the nine of us for that?"
"Unfortunately my present condition has me staying close to home. If I hadn't left in my current... state, to play our card game Baron Orock would have never gotten the crystal from me. The crystal is now his trophy. He'd never risk losing it back to me, but he doesn't know any of you."

"It's a prismatic crystal from the crystal caverns of the feydark. It's not terribly valuable, but it has magical properties. I have enchanted it at great cost to power the POT. The cost was so great that my existence now depends on it."

Sarro ponders the new information for a bit. "I suggest a scouting mission. We go to his compound and have a look around. Maybe one of us can pose as a high stakes gambler with a few more as an entourage.." To the Doctor "How hard would it be to get our hands on a crystal that looks the same as the one you require?"

"You won't find one passable on this plane I'm afraid. You'd have to find the ever moving portal into the Feywild, then find a passage to the Feydark. It could take years to obtain another crystal."

“Well Doctor, if gambling is his vice, does he ever host any games at his residence? That would be an easy in if we arrived as players willing to lose a good amount of money. We can’t necessarily go in a wager for the crystal we shouldn’t know he has. But stealing the crystal while the game is ongoing would be a decent distraction. Any idea where he would keep this stone? By the sounds of it, you’re part of the stone. Is there anyway you can tell where it is?”

Aydrik has been listening with interest, but now he snorts derisively.
"This baron sounds like a wonderful person," he says, voice dripping with sarcasm.
