The bone-chilling breath assails everyone but, with some quick thinking and a bit of luck, its damage is minimal.
Essendrum slides forward upon the ice, keeping his balance, reaching out to strike at one of the Mephits. The creature cries out from his electrical attack.
Kiza fires another arrow into the fog. Again she hears the satisfying thud of her arrow as it hits a creature.
Enoch strides forth, striking out into the mist. With two swings of his blade, he strikes the creature down. It explodes into icy shards, striking Enoch & Essendrum. (Essendrum & Enoch need to roll a Dex save, DC 10. fail-full damage, save: 1/2 damage. Damage: 5 )
DM notes: Essendrum & Enoch will also need to make an Acrobatics Check, before their next actions, while they remain on the ice-covered platform. The DC is 14 and on a fail, they slip on the ice and fall to the ground, sliding towards the edge of the platform. To save themselves from sliding off into the river, they will have to make an Athletics Check, DC12.
Spike continues to flail away at the creature before him, trying to take it out and then perhaps move on to the one that made this blasted fog in the first place--unless it has moved, then he is just blundering about looking for a cold foe!
Reckless Attack to cancel Disadvantage...Attacks against him have Advantage for a round.

Spike attacks with blind swings, striking the Mephit twice. It shatters then explodes, icy shards flying everywhere. ((Spikeroll the Dex Save DC 10. Save=1/2 damage, fail=full 4)
Essendrum slips and starts to slide. He is able to save himself by grabbing onto something. That something happens to be a Mephit covered in the web Essendrum cast. (last round 1 did not act due to being stuck in the web)
DM: There are4 Mephitsleft. 1 is entangled in Essendrum's web spell. 3 may act.
The remaining 3 moves to a location that puts Spike, Enoch & Essendrum within range of their attacks. Each exhales their icy breath. (Dex Roll DC 10 (1 roll for each) Save for 1/2 damage) Mephit 1: 7 Mephit 2: 8 Mephit 3: 3
Enoch is able to save himself from sliding on the slippery ice. Kiza & Enoch may act!

(( Enoch's DEX Save: 3 ))
Breathing a sigh of relief from having avoided the river, the paladin spotted the attacking mephits, and did his best to avoid their blasts. He let his righteous fury empower him as he stood, then charged the closest one.
MOVE: Half movement to stand from prone, the rest to close in with the closest mephit ACTION: Attack the mephit twice, with disadvantage this time! * Longsword Slash - Attack: 18, Damage: 9 magical slashing (add 1 damage on a crit) * Longsword Slash - Attack: 9, Damage: 9 magical slashing (add 5 damage on a crit) * Smite - again, first attack that connects will also expend a 1st-level spell slot to smite for an additional 12 radiant damage (add 8 if it was a crit) REACTION: Will again use Protectionto cause the next attack on any ally within 5 ft. to have disadvantage
Seeing the cold blue coloration of the fog where the mephits attacks radiate towards him lets Spike know there are at least three left, though he can’t see them through the fog.
instead, he does his best to dodge and angle his shield at the incoming coldness, trying to lessen its damage.

Between the exploding Ice Mephit and the breath attacks: Spike takes 5 hp of damage. Essendrum's spell depletes 14 hp of damage from the breath weapons and 4 hp are diverted by his perpetual magical shield that surrounds him, so he remains unscathed. Essendrum glows slightly with a pale blue glow. Enoch takes the full force of the combined breath weapons, taking 18 hp of cold damage. A thick layer of frost now covers the Paladin's armor and face.
Kiza launches another arrow into the icy fog. The arrow flies true and embeds itself into the same Mephit. It cries out in pain and explodes, icy shards flying everywhere and into Essendrum & Enoch. Need a Dex roll DC 10 from each-save for 1/2 damage: (Dice roller won't display....again. Using the monster description damage of4 hp)
Enoch keeps his balance on the slippery ice and swings at the closest Mephit. He steps forward slightly and swings, only to slide a bit, causing him to miss the 1st swing. The 2nd swing connects and the Mephit cries out in pain.
Top of Next Round! 1 more Mephit goes down but, Essendrum's release of his web spell puts the bound 1 back into play, so 3 remain. Spikemay act!
