Mephit attacks: The creatures once again exhale their icy breath, buffeting their targets and adding to the thick coat of frost and ice that is starting to form over clothing and armor.
DM: All three breathe out another round of icy breath. 1 is directed ateach of you ((Spike, Essendum & Enochmake 1 Dex roll, DC 10, taking1h.p. of damage, successful roll cuts the damage in half.)
After the buffeting of the Mephits breath weapon: Spike takes no damage, outside a frosty beard. Enoch takes damage from the frost breath and in response, he uses his holy gift to heal himself. Essendrum takes some damage and hunkers down in place. Kiza launches another arrow, striking a Mephit.
Again Spike's aim is true and despite the fog cloud, he connects twice with his mug. The Ice Mephit explodes with the last hit. Spike roll a Dex Roll DC 10, 3h.p. of damage, save for 1/2.

Desperate end the battle before being overwhelmed by his freezing wounds, Enoch turned towards the nearest mephit again, and brought his blade down with a roar.

Spike is able to deflect all the shards from the Mephit's exploding body. He takes no damage. Essendrum does the same. He takes 3 h.p. of damage. Enoch on the other hand takes the full force of the exploding shards and takes 5 h.p. of damage.
Kiza launches another arrow. It flies and embeds itself into the creature's body and it explodes, sending shards of ice everywhere. Enoch, frustrated by the icy breath of the Mephit before him, lashes out hitting the creature twice. It too explodes, sending shards of its body everywhere.
Essendrum & Enoch need to make the last Dex Save, DC 10. Taking 6h.p. of damage, save for 1/2.
As the remaining Ice Mephit dies, the icy loud that obscured your vision dies away and you can see normally. Essendrum finds himself inches from the edge of the platform. The boat that sat on the platform is riddled with holes, from dying/exploding Mephits.
Combat has ended with the death of the last Mephit.
Both Enoch and Essendrum take 3 h.p. of damage from their respective dying Mephits.
Everyone takes a few breaths after this combat ends. The cold air fills your lungs and as you exhale the vapor from your breath cools quickly and a white mist floats from your mouth and lingers in the air until it is swept away by a slight breeze. Both Essendrum & Kiza cough for a few moments, the coolness of the air catching you off guard. Essendrum suspects something else is going on but he hasn't had time to work it out in his mind, each new battle taking precedent.
You take a look around, Ice seems to coat everything, as far as you can tell. Outside your range of sight is nothing but darkness. This scene seems a bit surreal and might be pleasant if it weren't for the constant sound of the rushing waters of the river that surrounds the platform.

By my count, Essendrum’s ward is gone and he’s down 3 hit points.
He takes nothing from that last exhale because of Absorb Elements.
Having been buffeted by several exploding imps and hearing few of them left, he stays where he is to avoid slipping and ending up in the water.
