As Quinn and Jasper make their way back they can see no sign that any of the neighbours have taken an interest. Theron and Magnus seem to be at one of the windows across the courtyard.
Lokilia tilts her head, curious at Dev"s curt response to Normont. She then says to the gnome, "From Zephrah, I'm part of the Air Ashari. And I'm here just to see a bit of the world."
She keeps the conversation brief as she focuses on following Dev.
Magnus follows Therons lead and casts light on one of his daggers, so he can easily put the dagger under his cloak to hide the light if need be. He will then slowly move throughout the dwelling searching for anything that might spark some interest in showing what happened in here.
"Looks like we might not be the only ones looking for our merchant, I wonder how the others are doing and if they have been able to contact him yet." Magnus whispers to Theron. "Be careful when you search around, whoever did this, might have left something or someone behind."
“Right. Hey, by the way, do you recognize this at all?” Jasper asks Quinn as they head back to the apartment. They produce the badge they were inspecting and hand it to the Ashari. “It’s evidence, so don’t lose it please.”

“Right. Probably that guy that just left. Hopefully our friends caught up to him. Let’s split up so we can search it faster.”
Theron mostly wandered around, not knowing where to look [9 investigation]
Neither Magnus nor Theron were having much in the way of luck finding anything then Magnus saw something reflecting the light finding an ornate, gold signet ring with an intricate seal in an open desk drawer.
There is still quite a bit of the apartment left to search when Jasper and Quinn arrive at the window.
Nerak looks down to the gnome, shocked at first not expecting the question and taking a moment to process it. “I’ll certainly keep an eye. And I’m from Draconia, a slave for my life. Now that I can I decided to get out and see the world. Not much reason as to here particularly. How about yourself? Why are you here?”
As Quinn walks up to the window, he looks and says, “I do not believe I can make it through there, but I can pull out my badge and sweep the area and see if anyone has seen anything of interest.”
"I am sorry to hear you were enslaved. As for why I am here, well...", Normont starts whispering, clearly happy Nerak had asked. "Are you familiar with Whitestone? Specifically with the Whitestone Rifle Corps?", he replies. Before Nerak has a chance to respond, he continues, "I am a member of a sub division of the Rifle Corps called the Pale Guard. I basically do the same there as Jasper does here, although he is of senior rank".
"As for why I am here, well that is Whitestone business I am afraid", he whispers conspiratorially.

“Yeah, do that,” Theron said. “This place is trashed.”

"We all have our pasts, that's not what I am anymore. Thankfully that life is over. This Whitestone business...its nothing any of us should be worried about right?" Nerak looked over Normont to study his expressions, after his time on the run he's grown somewhat adept at figuring out who might be acting as an agent against him.
“No no, it’ll all be fine”, Normont replies, trying to allay Nerak’s concern. “Unless you are thinking of going prospecting in Mooren Lake, that is”.
”Hm, how are we doing Dev? Nearly there?”.
(OOC: Nerak suspects that Normont is trying to make out his purpose in Drynna is more important than it actually is. And that he is being genuine when he says it will be fine).
Pocketing the ring for now, to show the others later, when they might be in a more secure location. Magnus continues to sift through the strewn mess of the apartment, looking for anything that might help.

Jasper will join Quinn in his canvassing of the area. "I've got a bad feeling about all this."
Knocking on the door of the next apartment there is a curse from within and then the sound of wood against shin, another curse and then the door is opened violently.
" What the bleeding hells do you.....", the man takes in the badge being presented. " ...oh...uh..officer?"
" What seems to be the trouble? Not a noise complaint I hope? My husband can be a little...vocal...and we have had quite a bit of wine this evening..."
He fastens his robe more securely around his middle, looking down...as he looks back up there is a wet thud onto the cobbles behind you, and then another...and another...the man screams loudly and slams the door shut in panic as he stares over your shoulder in horror....

Magnus is becoming frustrated with being unable to locate anything when Theron uncovers a shipping manifest from under a pile of dirty laundry. In the shipping manifest is a pic- ture of crest, labeled “Golador" as well as various charts, tables, and notes, several of which mention Golador Estate as a base of operations. There is nothing else of interest here, aside from a pouch containing a few silver coins.
As he is showing Magnus there is a sudden loud cry from outside and the sound of a door slamming.

The four of them arrive at the gate to the courtyard of the dead merchants apartment, the gate seems to have been forced open, as they approach it there is a loud scream and a series of loud wet thuds on the cobbles of the courtyard within.
Any one of you with a Passive Perception 14 or over may read the below-
Through the heavily falling rain you see on the roof of the two storey building ahead a number of figures sliding and scrabbling across the roof, one of them reaches the edge and pitches itself off into the courtyard ahead landing with a wet thud but no other sound....
Shining the light within the place looks to be in a shambles.
