Lokilia breathes a sigh of relief as they make it to the snow. But after just a moment's rest, she stands. "We should probably keep moving away from the tower. I don't like the look of..." She waves her hand at the growing mixture of mud and water amidst the snow. "It doesn't look stable. And I doubt we want to be near the tower when it collapses. Well, I assume it will collapse."
Only as she's starting to move does she pause to really take a look at the others. "You all okay?"
“I’m fine,” Dev answers, panting, his calves and thighs burning not from heat but from the ascent. He rushes after Lokilia, away from the tower… “back the way we came?,” he suggests.
“Good idea, Dev. We should pay our last respects to our friend as well. I hope Magnus would approve of the way we handled the situation”, Normont replies, a twang of melancholy to his tone.
”It will give you a chance to rest a little as well, Quinn”.
"Aye, I do hope Magnus would have approved," Lokilia agrees. "Let's get to the overlook first. Then we can orient ourselves to whatever destination we choose. I guess that will be Whitestone. Magnus would have wanted to report what we saw here I suppose." She keeps moving, away from the tower.
The four companions trudged across the snowfield looking back to see ruins beginning to jut from the snow around the tower as the snow melts, the crystalline top of the tower is beginning to glow slightly......
Heading upwards they traverse towards the overlook as heavy clouds scud across the darkening sky.
( Perception Checks. If anyone scores over 13 then Stealth Checks as well.)
(OOC: I took it as only one of us had to pass the perception, as they would tell the others. Of course, then Normont and Amber both fluffed their stealth anyway haha)
Lokilia and Amber note something some way off as they regard the now glowing tower, a small dark shape moving quickly in the lower reaches of the storm clouds, it rapidly gains in resolution and size as it wings closer as if coming to inspect the strange new glowing landmark.
Both Lokilia and Amber are able to make out the form of the creature as it quickly draws closer, wide leathery wings support a stocky body and tapering tail as the glistening white 20' long form dives out of the storm, it loops around and looks like it is about to bank closer to the tower when its long neck suddenly snakes around and feral eyes focus on the forms desperately trying to find cover on the outlook.
( You have one round of activity before it arrives- you'd guess it has definitely spotted you.....though perhaps it hasn't made out what you are yet...)
( Your on a bare rocky spur, there are some scattered snow drifts that would probably cover Normont....but the rest have some ground to cover to find anything...)
Dev stands, transfixed and immobile. Stuck between awe, fear, and curiosity, he doesn’t hide, but remains where he is, each shallow breath, a thin streamer of white drifting away in the cold.
Can this be a creature from storybooks? A... dragon? Powerful, terrifying, graceful in the air, cunning…
"I don't think we've got much chance of hiding at this point," Lokilia says. "Any ideas, other than staying and seeing what happens?" She does step away from the others a bit, in case the creature launches some attack.

Normont is panting because of the heat, and a little because of the run.
”These boots saved my life in there”, he finally manages to say as he follows the others.
”Shall we head to Whitestone?”.
“Anywhere but here! But let’s wait and see what happens. We can watch from the overlook where we first spotted the tower?”
