Knowing that there is another illusion at play, Normont focusses his attention on trying to see through it, as he did before with who he now believes is the duergar from out front.
He sticks behind Maggie, and for the moment doesn't mention the person to the others, for fear of tipping their hand too early.
Twin dim red eyes shift minutely toward Normont. ‘What is he doing?,’ Dev wonders (Insight 10). ‘The table?’ His gaze shifts. ‘Just a table. Is it magical?, or does Normont recognize it?,’ the tiefling wonders.

( After his thorough examination Normont is certain there is no illusion present.)
Twin dim red eyes shift minutely toward Normont. ‘What is he doing?,’ Dev wonders (Insight 10). ‘The table?’ His gaze shifts. ‘Just a table. Is it magical?, or does Normont recognize it?,’ the tiefling wonders.
It appears to be a decoratively carved mahogany table....most of the carvings are semi-floral in nature but the inlay on the top is a skull with an open mouth surrounded by roses.
Normont is a little confused, and thinks back to the man he saw, trying to figure out if he was a sentry of some kind or if he was trapped.
What did he look like? Did he look aghast due to shock of seeing them enter, or because of his predicament. What was the man wearing? Could they be the missing Grey Hunter?
‘What is he thinking??,’ Dev wonders, aching to know Normont’s thoughts. Suddenly, something he learned from the pages found in library archives, something whose meaning, until this moment, has been an enigma, clarifies.
The hidden tiefling barely shifts a finger to point toward Normont. “Can you hear me,” his voice whispers in Normont’s head. “What’s wrong?” And although Dev hasn’t made a sound, Normont does indeed hear Dev, through an ancient magic Dev has invoked, and the gnome can respond with his thoughts alone.

An older man, his clothing a little old fashioned. He was utterly motionless and aghast at something terrifying......he was almost certainly not the Grey Hunter......perhaps a minor noble or merchant house member?
Normont is a little shocked to hear Dev’s whispered voice, but quickly recovers his wits and replies.
”Yes, I can. When the scroll was still in effect, this table wasn’t here. There was a man there in its place. But the effects have stopped”.
Dev’s eyes shoot back to the table with piercing intensity. “Lokilia,” he whispers in his mind, and he relays what Normont said, to her, and then to Quinn, pointing a finger toward each one in turn. (Message)
Normont finally relaxes as he dismisses the notion that the man is a guard or sentry.
He addresses the others quietly, "I saw a man whilst I had True Seeing. He looked afraid. Terrified really. He was older and his clothing was old fashioned. I first thought he might be a guard or sentry, which is why I didn't speak. But now I wonder if this table is some sort of prison? Or some planar gate like the one we found to the Far Realm. And perhaps the man was trapped in it some time ago. But why would The Nameless Ones have such an artifact? They are messing with dark forces I know, but this...".
He moves to examine the table himself, not now thinking it is illusion, but some sort of dark artifact.
( Just to clarify your currently in the building that backs onto Glinicks. The room is relatively clean, though there is a fine layer of dust over everything. The hidden door on this side is equally hard to make out once closed.)
Lokilia is surprised at Dev's voice, then equally confused by the description provided. She looks towards the middle of the room and the table. "Is there someone invisible here? Or do you mean in the table?" She then looks about the room, "Can we get into Glinnick's from here?" She tries to find a passageway. (Perception: 14)

Lokilia examines the wall carefully.....its not very well mortared.......they could probably get some of the stones out to make a way through....would probably take a little time and they'd need to be quiet.
