(Is Quinn outside now guarding without the benefit of Lokilia’s stealth enhancement? Or is he still covered? I think guarding the door was a good idea, but we need to take care that he’s not spotted.)

( He's still....just....within range as long as she doesn't leave the current room.)
Lokilia watches as Dev listens at the door. "Anything there? Where does that door go?" she whispers. "I don't see anything leading to Glinnick's, unless we want to pry some bricks loose."

“I’m not sure where it goes,” Dev whispers to Lokilia, “but I don’t want us to be taken by surprise by something coming through it while we’re here.”
If the hinges are on this side, Dev looks for something that he could quietly wedge in front of the door to keep it closed. If the hinges are on the other side, he just hides, pressing his body up against the wall next to the door.

Lokilia estimates that there would be another three similar sized rooms to reach the street frontage.....she's fairly sure the building is a residence....or perhaps a combined office/residence from viewing the front briefly as they ducked into the alley....

The hinges are indeed on this side....there's not a lot in here to wedge.....though perhaps a broken up crate or the contents of the crates?
"Yes, that's it", Normont says a little louder, but still relatively quietly.
"This is not really a table. Well, it is now. But at one time it was a person. A person who has been polymorphed. And from the look on his face, it was against his will", he says to the others with some cones etched into his voice.
"I wonder who he is though, and how we can help him".
“Could it be the Gray Hunter we want to set free? Did you get a good look at him?,” Dev asks, matching Normont’s quietness. “Maybe all we need to do is take the table with us. I mean, most spells don’t last forever do they?”
Rather than propping closed the wooden door, Dev motions to Quinn to join him in putting their weight against it to keep it from opening should someone on the other side unexpectedly attempt to do so.
"That would be amazing if we had found the hunter so easily," Lokilia says, trying to temper her excitement. "I don't think any spells that I have the power to cast would help." She turns to Dev. "While some spells might not last long, there are powerful magics that do last. Some may be permanent. We need someone capably of dispelling magic itself."
"No such luck. The person didn't look like you would expect from a Grey Hunter. In fact, their clothes were quite old fashioned. I expect this happened to them some time ago", Normont replies.
"Should we explore this place to try and find a clue as to who they were, or who did this to them?", he adds, seeing them by the internal door.
”Wait,” Dev whispers, his face brightening with a sudden idea. “Why don’t I just ask the table who he is?”
Not losing another instant, the tiefling points at the table and whispers so that only it can hear his voice in its mind, “Hello? Can you understand me?”
Dev slips over to the door and listens. Anything seem to be on the other side?

Dev hears nothing directly beyond the door, there are faint noises that may be elsewhere in the building or perhaps on the street at the front.

As he examines the table, Normont mumbles , “Perhaps the person has been polymorphed into the table”.

And indeed does so.....
Lokilia estimates that there would be another three similar sized rooms to reach the street frontage.....she's fairly sure the building is a residence....or perhaps a combined office/residence from viewing the front briefly as they ducked into the alley....
Normont- studies the table intently......he has something but he's not quite sure if...............
The hinges are indeed on this side....there's not a lot in here to wedge.....though perhaps a broken up crate or the contents of the crates?
...........Eureka!

( Its a weird one but I'm inclined to say that currently he is an object rather than a creature so can't receive message......but maybe I'm wrong.)
