On the one hand, he didn't get to eat. On the other hand, no fingers. For the moment, Werhann decides to consider this a good thing, even though his stomach aches for food. He had tried to take his mind off the hunger by focusing on other sensations, but none of them were preferable in any way.
The smell was not something he wished to concentrate on, though; tied to a rock like this for so long, some questions had unavoidably formed in his mind. Was something really rotting? Does it come from the creatures themselves or something else? With nothing to eat and a cover on his head, taste and sight were out of question. Sound? These creatures aren't exactly busy singing outside his door. The only sound to look for was the sound of the door's lock. But was it anticipation or dread that he felt?
Last was touch. But there wasn't much to touch around him, tied as he is (OOC: I assume). The rock beneath him. He knew many of its features well by now, but he could only reach a small area with his fingers. The problem was, concentrating on physical feeling often led to the unpleasant feeling of what was inside him. The coiling, this awful feeling.
Werhann can't help but wonder why he's even here. He tries to recall the circumstances that led to this situation. How did he get here? Did he see those who took him? They clearly want something from him, hence the disappointment. Searching for... something, but what? He wouldn't tell if asked, probably, but at least he'd know what he's up against.
In any case, now that they have left, Werhann focuses on whatever binds him to the rock (again, I assume). If those are ropes, then maybe, just maybe, he could cut them and break loose. Not now, not yet. No, he can't act too soon, but he needs to be ready for when the time comes. If those are sturdier, however, he might be helpless at the moment.

She then pulls three small stones from her pack, enchanting them with Magic Stone, even as she continues to move back some more. (up to her movement of 30 feet)

You can look at my threads and laces to see if I have what else you are looking for. But I recommend Shields the best like this one! Always a good move to put something between you and ..." Hearing the conversation of the 3 approaching. Still a little off put by the devilish smile on the Tieflings face, but who knows Mayne they can't help it, like Progo always referring to himself as Progo, it just came naturally. So the 'Protection' seems to refer to these newcomers. That explains the looking back over shoulders, but if that wasn't enough to convince Progo, they now seemly said they plan to kill Progo as well so assignment understood. Oh the things Progo will go through to make a sale. "More customers, come see Progo's previous tested wares. Come, come." Now holding the shield like he is demonstrating how to hold it. Just as he starts to put himself between customers, one starts moving towards them. Progo follows, drawing the raiper as he moves, confused and bolstered by the devilish sounds. Beat it? Do they wish Progo run and abandon Progo's wares?
(Progo's init was 20, full movement towards the 3, which is doubled if Dev' action happened first, if close enough for an attack, Progo will rage and will stab at one, preferring one that has failed the save for fairy fire: To hit 18, even if advantage, for 10 piercing plus 2 rage and 2 sneak if applicable. If Progo can't get close enough for a melee attack but the 3 end up close to melee attack during their turn, Progo will rage and ready the attack rolled before. If they would still be too far away without dashing, Progo will just take the dodge action)
When Dev notices the three hoodlums approaching with ill-intent written plainly on their features – bushy and non-descript respectively – three things happen (Initiative: 19+1=20 ic).
First, the hand motions the fiery-complexioned youth learned from the ancient papers of the Tower, which he’d been practicing, suddenly make sense, and he flips open a tense white lace-gloved fist as if to splatter water on his chest. The sudden result of this gesture: the yellow lightning subtly tracing his horns is now all over him (Blade Ward 1A). Second, he begins to sing to the cracking back-beat, his voice hot and brittle like a knife in a forge, one foot tapping the beat with electrifying energy:
They told him, "Don't you ever come around here" / "Don't wanna see your face, you better disappear"
The fire's in their eyes and their words are really clear / So beat it, just beat it.
For a moment, it’s almost as if a half-dozen devils have come from nowhere, foot-tapping to the same beat with fearless steadiness. This and the tiefling’s words fill both Lokilia and Progo with a surging sense of defiance (BA: Bardic Inspiration=Mantle of Inspiration. Lokilia and Progo are granted 5 temporary HP and can immediately use their reactions to move up to their speed, without provoking opportunity attacks.)
(OOC - Not sure how close the opponents are, but if less than 60 feet she will use the immediate movement granted to move to just at the edge of 60 feet)

The bearded man and one of the others are surrounded by scintillating blue-green light, as Devs music bolsters his comrades, old and new, Progo stabs one of the bare-faced men with his blade.

The scant few other people on the street at this early hour either stand shocked as violence breaks out or immediately take off at a run.
Lokilia is relieved to see the orcish man race forward to take on two of their pursuers. But her eyes go wide with concern over the man charging at Dev. "You ok?" she asks loudly. Meanwhile she tosses one of her pebbles towards the man that had attacked Dev. A swift wind seems to pick it up, propelling it at her target. (Spell Attack: 18, Damage: 8 bludgeoning)
She moves back a bit farther if she can, trying to maintain a distance of 60 ft. if possible, from the nearest opponent.
Normont takes a seat as instructed, and takes a cup of tea, but simply holds it as he relays what they know.
"Ok, well it all started with a visit from someone claiming to be a member of a group called the Nameless Ones, who have business in Whitestone. This person was wearing a Grey cloak, the same as the ones that the other Lady de Rolo would be very familiar with. They also claimed they had taken it from the previous owner, who had been snooping around the business of the Nameless Ones, and that unless others who wear similar cloaks stopped looking into them they would kill this previous owner", he starts, keeping a keen eye on the reaction of the Lady de Rolo to see how much of this might be a surprise.
"Of course I denied knowing anything about what they were talking about. I wasn't sure how they knew to come to me, but I figured I was being followed, and so I have been reluctant to make direct communication, but it was at this point I made efforts to get a message to warn the hunters. I left a note at Grey Hunt Manor, and organised this meeting. I also asked the Cobalt Soul Archivist in the castle to help by looking into the Nameless Ones. Archivist Pren sent messages to Emon, Westruun and Kymal asking for information", he continued, taking a quick sip of tea to lubricate his throat before continuing.
"Friends of mine, who were also present when the Namless One visited, also started to look into them using their own contacts. We came away with two leads and the fact that this group is not to be trifled with. The leads were Glinnick's Store and a warehouse in the Southern Ward that has been mysteriously booked out for some time. We took the opportunity to investigate the warehouse, and found some strange items that were amongst the delivered goods. We also found a note, the message concealed by magic, that we managed to reveal. At that time, we also passed by Glinnick's to see the truth of who was lurking outside, and it is definitely not being used as a second hand store right now".
He stops for a moment and looks to Cassandra de Rolo, "We don't know the identity of the Grey Hunter who was kidnapped, but we expect he is in mortal danger. There is more, and there is proof, and it does get worse. But please, my Lady, would you share what you know now, because we need to find the Grey Hunter before our investigation is discovered".
" Ah, that all tallies with the information I have....some of which must have come from yourself via others."
" Yes, Archivist Pren and Ms Trickfoot have been keeping me appraised, the Grey Hunt and their Grand Mistress appreciate your efforts and inform me that the missing Hunter is Werhann Dike a skilled member of the Hunt and member of one of the minor Noble Houses with ties to Kraghammer."
" It was yourself who went to the warehouse? Ah, that clears up a gap in my understanding."
" We have been liasing with some sources under the Auspices of the Tal'dorei Council and it seems there has been a lot of disruption among the various criminal organisations recently and this splinter group are one of the results. I did not know of Glinnicks involvement....though there is some correspondence I haven't gotten to yet."
" The Grey Hunt believe their man went missing somewhere to the west of the city but they have been unable to locate where as yet or where he may be being held."
" I can disperse some agents throughout Whitestone in the guise of yourselves and your companions in order to disrupt any observations you may be under."
" I do have a report indicating some of the members of this group can disguise their appearance.....it is from a member of the Pale Guard....did that information come from yourselves?"
" I had no idea the Nameless were so well established already my usually reliable networks indicated they had only just arrived."
" I also have a report indicating a body of a missing grocer was found just outside the walls with his head removed.....unsure if that's related...."
She placed down her teacup, " My brother will be back from his sabbatical quite soon I'm told and I'd rather have this tidied away by then. What additional resources do you need?"
What seems like a full day passes, the ropes are thick about his wrists but likely can be cut with effort.....
Eventually the door is opened once more and a bucket of cold fresh water is tossed over him......
As Progo still fueled by a confused rage, denies 2 strikes using his shield, Progo should ask more for this one. He sees the one man run past him as his shield is raised to block a shot aimed at his head. "Progo didn't give you permission to pass." (Cunning Action to BA disengage) and will follow up behind the one who attacked Dev and will attempt to apply acupuncture to the man's back with his rapier!
To hit: 15 for 5 piercing plus 2 rage and 3 sneak
Progo then will start to move back towards the other 2 with any remaining movement, trying to draw the ones attention (reaction) to attack Progo and give Dev the option to get away.
The thug’s first slash deflects off of Dev’s lightning-armor with a sparking flash. Dev’s eyes widen in surprise. The Tower magic worked! But the second attack, a chin-butt with the weapon’s pommel, doesn’t have to pierce anything. In shock and pain, Dev’s head whips around with the force of the blow, and his magical ward dissipates instantly. But when he turns to face the man again, his lips pulled back in a rictus smile as he sings, the lightning returns, rushing in a focused flash of flame. (Hellish Rebuke [reaction]: Clean-faced thug must make a DEX saving throw DC13, taking 19 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.)
When Progo attempts to put himself between Dev and the swordsmen, Dev absolutely follows suit, stepping to the rhythm and moonwalking behind Progo. If the one who attacked Dev is still up, Dev will disengage. If Dev is not presently engaged, Dev will cast Blade Ward again with a flick of his white-gloved hand as he takes a back seat to Progo.
The tiefling’s song continues:
You better run, you better do what you can / Don't wanna see no blood, don't be a macho man
You wanna be tough, better do what you can / Just beat it!
