"Can anyone sneak into that warehouse? I'd still like to know what exactly is going on and how Conroy was wrapped up in this." Nerak shifts in the olives as the woman and elves are pointed out. "Normont and Dev, that seems like something you'd be good at. I can make one of you a bit quicker if you want it, I won't be able to magically charm anyone later though"
"That is well spotted, Dev. I am not sure that we can outright say that lady is the murderer though. A strong suspect, yes. Unless there is more you know than she has blond hair, similar embroidery on her clothes and associates with known criminals?", Normont says, knowing that the evidence so far is compelling but unfortunately circumstantial.
"The way I see it", he continues, "Is that we have two choices. We wait until dark and break in to the warehouse and have a look around. By that time whatever evidence existed inside might have been removed. Or we simply walk in and ask some questions".
"Neither are particularly great options. I am not sure any of us are used to breaking and entering, although I am familiar with locks and could potentially pick the one here. The direct approach could result in resistance, and as we are not acting in any official capacity we could simply be asked to leave and get reported to the watch".
He looks completely torn between the two options, and looks up at his companions in case they have an alternative, hopefully better, plan.

"M-me??," Dev says, hoarsely. It's like when he was ten and all the other kids volunteered him to filch fishing rods from Mr. Bunter's lakeside tackle and bait store for them. And he did because he needed friends, but they took the poles and ran, leaving him prey to old Mr. Bunter's cane, and just as friendless as ever.
"I am not sure that we can outright say that lady is the murderer though.
He looks to Normont. "Well, maybe you're right...," the tiefling trails off.
'And maybe you're not.'
"Maybe someone can get close enough to see if her coat is ripped? And what are her... those guys taking out of their packs?"
(OOC: Are there crates in the warehouse or barrels, near the door, where one more might not be obvious? Any sense in Dev trying the 'hide in an illusion of a crate,' gambit once more?)
As the morning wears on more and more people begin moving into the warehouse from the manor and other buildings until there appears to be a large meeting happening right now.
Most are a rough-looking crowd, but there is some distinction within the family, if that is who they all are. Some clearly have more money than others, although those who have fewer jewels and stylish ruffs have the beef and brawn of folks who might actually work the estate and winery.
Two older men hug one another, one dressed in fine clothes and the other in a crisp canvas apron with a small gold star pinned on its upper corner. They look so alike, they must be brothers.
There are now fifteen or so more people in the main area of the warehouse, and likely more who can’t immediately be seen. You also spy a young man, another member of the family, tied up with several others to the side of the open space. They don’t look like they’re enjoying themselves.
"It is quite the gathering we have stumbled upon", Normont says. "I wonder why some are tied up. If we could somehow get close, we could perhaps free those and they might cause a distraction, or they might be willing to tell us what is going on".
(OOC: DM - Can we get to those tied up without being in full view of the others?)

(Is 'tied up' meant to be taken literally or figuratively here? Are they bound with ropes or just caught up in conversation?)
"Well I think going down there now would be pointless as Jasper said, we won;t get anywhere besides tipping our hand that we know something is going on so they will either speed up their time table or just move stuff to somewhere else we will have no clue about. Hell they might just outright kill us all and be done with it as again we are not "officially" here. Then again, they might already know we are here and that gathering down there is for us, remember we did have something flying over us while we traveled here. Side note Jasper, are there any other compounds out this way, or just this one? At the moment, I am going to assume, hopefully not wrongly, they do not know of our presence and we should wait until dark to continue out investigation, keeping a look out on the barn to see what goes on. If something changes down there, like they start killing the ones we think are tied up then we move, otherwise we wait." Magnus quietly suggests.

Normont sits back down, obviously impatient to move into the action phase of their plan.
"Very well, but it doesn't sit right, doing nothing all day. With this many people in the warehouse, perhaps the manor is empty? Or perhaps there are more carriages coming that we can intercept", he says, spit balling ideas as he takes out his pistol and starts to polish it.
"I wonder what they're talking about," Dev says quietly. He looks to the others.
"Maybe... maybe I can get close." He begins to move into the warehouse, so that he can hear what is being said. He will hide among the crates, casting an illusion to hide behind as needed. Before moving off, he looks to Normont, a question: 'coming?,' but continues on alone if need be.
(OOC: hoping to roll Stealth with advantage due to a casting of minor illusion. Stealth rolls: 9/12)
Spotting Dev's questioning glance, Normont immediately perks up, focuses on the task at hand then heads off as well, trying to use any illusory crates and barrels his companion creates to help him.

Normont and Dev sneak up to the rear door of the warehouse and slip inside behind some stacked barrels using illusion to further cloak their presence.
The tall woman and the Liam Von Ocici emerge back into the main area and sweep past the barrels hiding the two allowing them a clear view of a small piece of material missing from the trailing edge of her cloak.
The rest of the crowd goes quiet and the three half elves stop what they are doing and bring small bowls containing a dark substance over to the woman.
She nods and indicates one of the large crates, the Ocici open one and carry three corpses from the crate and lay them on the ground before the woman, she takes some of the substance from the bowl and wipes it across each corpses lips while muttering words and making gestures, as she rises again the three corpses twitch and get to their feet staring at her. She commands them over to an open barrel and the corpses climb inside and wait there entwinned while one of the Ocici seals the barrel. Some among the crowd look unsure, and others applaud quietly....all look impressed.
The golden haired woman turns to regard them but as she does her eyes move across Dev and Normonts hiding spot and she stops, " Come out now and you will not be harmed."
Normont sees the area of the tall woman's cloak with the piece missing and looks at Dev, giving him an acknowledging look that says you were right. He then watches as the tall woman proceeds to dictate affairs, with the bowls of the dark substance and the corpses. He is not surprised by what happens next, although he does find it shocking.
"Is that what you led Conroy Pekese to believe before you murdered him? That he would not be harmed", he calls out, not yet showing himself. He then whispers to Dev, "Get out of here quick, I will distract them".
"I admit, I am outnumbered. So many of you and only one of me", he says, pointing for Dev to move away.
Dev turns pale with fear. A pale red, like clay. He shakes his head at Normont and stays where he is. Touching his magic pipes to his lips, the teen tiefling blows silently upon them. Normont's voice, three times louder than before, comes from a crate on the other side of the room. (minor illusion. I hope this is audible by the rest of our company.)
"I admit, I am outnumbered. So many of you and only one of me, hehehe!"
[OOC: DO the rest of us hear Normant's louder voice call out? If so, Magnus would do the following.]
"Shit." Magnus utters as he scrambles to his feet and sprints toward the warehouse, launching an eldritch blast at the opposite end of the warehouse or an outlying wooden building hoping to cause a distraction or at minimum catch something in fire.
[OOC: OIf he does not hear Normont's shout, then he will continue to stare at the warehouse, waiting for some word on what is going on inside.]
"Dammit to the hells, they've been made," Jasper curses under their breath. Once Magnus takes off, Jasper fails to try and pull him back. "Magnus, wait!" They whisper after him, but he fires off the eldritch blast before Jasper can even take off after him.
"Lokilia, Quinn, Nerak, we'd better get in there, or else our friends might be toast," Jasper huffs as they ready their shield and move toward the warehouse after Magnus.
Nerak groans as he stands to his feet, helping Lokilia and Quinn up before rushing after Jasper and Magnus. "C'mon, we have to find out what's going on in there." As he closes in on the building he keeps himself 40ft from the door, his hands beginning to be covered in a sheet of frost as he prepared a frostbite spell.

( There are numerous crates and barrels, including the very large crates that the workers are avoiding. Its certainly a possibility.)
