In hindsight, Werhann should at least have asked Klarron for some armour. At worst, he'd have been refused. A matter to take care of later. For now, it seems the best way to avoid being hit is to keep some distance and kill these monsters faster than they can hurt him. The fact that they didn't even bother to take on a more humanoid form makes it a lot easier, morally.
Werhann jumps off the table - it's hard striking a nearby creature with such a long weapon - and attacks the grey creature again, and the unstable flutter once again picks up as the weapon is thrusted onto the hulking mass.
Movement: 5 feet away from the doppleganger, to stand behind Normont.
Booming Blade attack: 20!+6=26 to hit, 3+9+4=16 magical piercing damage.
Progo catches a quick glimpse of Glinnick stabbing Quinn out of the corner of his eye. Progo must have misunderstood, Progo thought they came here to save Glinnick, but perhaps it was most of a recon and Glinnick was who needed to be taken for information? Progo then watches the now disclosed Mimic munch into the stabbed body. MIMIC FURNITURE Progo wonders who this Glinnick had for a supplier. The brilliance of furniture that can change to match the need or mood at will. Really had they just figured out how to keep if from trying to eat guests and they would be a global success! Well first this first, staby staby, then business ventures. Progo stabs again at the big doppelganger (mimic next choice if doppelganger is down).
Normont fires at Glinnik, the round glances his left shoulder leaving a scrape but little else as Maggie tears into the Mimic in the doorway, Dev continues dancing up a storm, the Mimic in the doorway seems particularly annoyed by him....
Lokilia moves back quickly next to Dev and throws a stone that impacts the Mimic heavily, Werhann jumps down off the bench to stand beside Normont and thrusts with the lance skewering the Doppelganger through the chest and dropping it noiselessly to the floor.
Progo quickly switches target as he sees the grey thing drop, striking at the Mimic but unable to pierce its hide....
Glinnick seems to panic at being shot at and bolts through the door the Doppelganger was previously blocking.....he appears to be trying to escape out a window under the exterior stairs...
( AoO from Normont, Progo, Werhann and Amber)
The Mimic next to Progo seems unperturbed by his prods and continues eating Quinn, the one in the doorway shifts forward into the space Lokalia vacated and bites at Maggie.
Mimic Bite Vs Maggie- Attack: 23 Damage: 11
There is a heavy creak at the top of the stairs but no one descends at this time.
Outside on the street there are rifle shots and cries of confusion and anger.....also a great deal of wailing and screaming......
As Glinnick flees, Normont prods out with the butt of his rifle towards the back of his fellow gnome's head, clumsily trying to knock him out.
"If that is you, Glinnick, then stop and listen. If you are now something else, be my guest and leave. You won't get more than two steps out there", he says, as he brings his rifle to bear on the mimic chewing on Quinn.
Maggie had taken a big hit, and although she remains alert, she pauses her attack. Mechanisms inside her whir into motion and the damage she took seems to repair itself.
Normont
Reaction: Using rifle as improvised weapon Attack on Glinnick- To Hit: 20+3=23, Damage: (4+1)+3=8 [non-lethal magical bludgeoning - it is still infused] Action: Attack mimic by Quinn Rifle Attack - To Hit: 17+6=23, Damage: 1+4=5 [magical piercing]
Reaction: Attack 11 to hit for 9 piercing plus 6 sneak
Progo stabs wildly at Glinnick as he passes behind him. Trying to still to leave here with something of Quinn still intact, Progo goes after the mimic more wildly now (Reckless Attack) jumping up to almost land on the beast. Progo figures if he can hurt it really badly that it might release its easy meal to defend itself.
Wasn't it supposed to be a cultist hideout? Why are there shapeshifting creatures instead? In any case, Werann hesitates and decides not to pursue Glinnick. What if his mind was controlled or manipulated somehow? With everything he experienced recently, was it completely out of the question? Instead, Werhann transmits directly to Glinnick's mind: 'If you step outside, you'll be shot. Stop and surrender.'
With the Doppleganger dead, Werhann takes a quick look around. Progo and Normont focus on this mimic nearby, but it seems keen on eating away at Quinn. Although unfortunate, it seems the Paladin is dead already, and if that's the case, Werhann's priority should be making sure no one else ends up in a similar state.
Werhann backs away to stand behind Maggie, then attacks the second mimic, this time already familiar and deliberate about the magical nature of the attack. Whatever the cause, there are some benefits to these new powers.
Werhann skips the AoO, then moves to stand by Maggie and Dev. Following that, he casts Booming Blade. 15+6=21 to hit, 5+4=9 magical piercing damage. If the attack hits and the mimic moves at least 5' before the start of Werhann's next turn, they take 5 additional Thunder damage.
When the mimic doesn’t flee, the teen tiefling shows his sharp-glinting teeth. His face is otherwise a pool of dark shade under his cowl, his eyes sparkling stars in the void. He stands in place, feet spread wide, one heel like a piston tapping the backbeats to his illusory music and he points his white-gloved hand at the mimic, renewing his mind-piercing song.
She got your number, ah // How does it feel? Ah
To know this stranger, ah // Is about to kill, ah
(Spell/ Dissonant Whispers: The target must make a Wisdom saving throw, DC13. On a failed save, it takes 12 psychic damage and must immediately use its reaction, if available, to move as far as its speed allows away from Dev. The creature doesn’t move into obviously dangerous ground, such as a fire or a pit. On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage and doesn’t have to move away. A deafened creature automatically succeeds on the save.)

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Normont struck Glinnick as he passed but the old gnome didn't stop, Progo missed him as the old fella ducked,
Normont fires at the Mimic but the impact didn't seem to trouble it much, Progo stabbed the Mimic but again it seemed only mildly troubled and kept eating.
Lokilia threw poison from the air at the Mimic in front of her and though it impacted the creature merely continued on. As Maggie clicked and whirred repairing herself, Werhann sank his lance into the Mimic stabbing over her, it burbled and roared loudly in response. Then Dev glared at the creature and it recoiled and began to move away, spasming again from some lingering effect of Werhanns lance. Squealing the creature slid quickly back but then shuddered and slumped to the ground....unmoving.
There was barely time to take this in when there was a sound of feet on the stairwell and rather rotund looking baker, his face daubed with flour came down the stairs and squealed at the sight of the dead Mimic.
At the rear of the store Glinnick shrugged in response to Werhanns words and ran out the door.....
Lokilia-
You think you hear other boots on the stairs but you can't see from this angle....
Finished with its meal of Earth Ashari the northern Mimic lunged at Progo.
From outside the sound of rifle fire died away replaced by the sounds of hand to hand fighting, grunts screams and the occasional strange high pitched shrilling.......
Dev reprises his chorus, sending invigorating energy to his allies…
“She seemed sincere like it was love and true romance
And now, she's out to get me
But I just can't take it, just can't break it…
Blood is on the dance floor…”
(Bonus action: Bardic Inspiration: Mantle of Inspiration. Grant 5 temp HP to himself, Werhan and Quinn (oh-oh). Each of them can use their Reaction to move up to their speed without provoking opportunity attacks. If they are alive...))
The music stops. Dev moves to Quinn and crouches down beside him. What remains of him, that is.
“Quinn. Get up,” the teen tiefling says, gently, though the sharp-toothed half-grin remains etched on his features. “GET. UP.”
Then without realizing he is doing it, Dev hisses an ancient incantation. (Silent Image— Magic Initiate). All present see Quinn split into two Quinns. One remains a bloody pulp on the floor. The other stands up, puts his hand on Dev’s shoulder, mouths a few words no one can hear. Then the living image of Quinn, seeming to glow with power, walks a few steps to the far wall and disappears through the wall.
Dev stands there watching the wall for a long moment.
