"That's another shapeshifter! Watch out!"Werhann calls out almost immediately, which surely seems a little strange to the others, just mere seconds after asking the baker if he is a civilian.
Normont watches Glinnick flee. "If that is Glinnick, he is out and he takes his chances with the Grey Hunt. If not, same thing", he replies to Progo, still shocked that Glinnick had murdered Quinn. Quinn, who just rose up and walked through the wall. "Nuts and bolts, what the..".
He shakes his head, and then fires at the mimic.
On hearing there is another shape shifter, he instructs Maggie to attack, not questioning Werhann at all.
Dutifully, Maggie lopes to what looks like the baker and bites down.
Dev......witnessed the passing of Quinn in rather startling fashion as Progo jammed his blade into the creature which burbled at him in response.
Werhann discovered the enemy shapeshifter before it could act as Lokilia launched a stone at it smashing a chunk out of the door frame.
Normont hit the Mimic Progo faced with a rifle round, Maggie lunged at the 'baker' but the shapeshifter pulled itself back at the last moment.
The Mimic lunged again at Progo, not as hungry anymore but certainly annoyed.
Mimic Vs Progo- Attack: 16 Damage: 10
The revealed doppelganger moved forward suddenly crashing in Dev with its fists, behind it two other figures came down the stairs their disguises as a familiar woman and and old beggar falling away to reveal two very annoyed looking duergar, following them on down stairs another mimic stopped on the last step and began forming itself into a door...
Both Duergar drew serrated daggers and threw them at Lokila..
Doppelganger Vs Dev- Attack: 24 Damage: 9
Doppelganger Vs Dev- Attack: 22 Damage: 15
Duergar A Vs Lokilia- Attack: 7 Damage: 5
Duergar B Vs Lokilia- Attack: 23 Damage: 4
From outside a familiar dwarven voice called out, " Alright in there? We're trying to get to you....but things have gone to hell in spectacular fashion..."
The sounds of screaming, combat and occasional rifle shots continued without......
(DM - I assume Maggie is next to the Doppelgänger when it attacked Dev? If so she will use her reaction to Deflect Attack which gives it disadvantage on one of those attacks. If not, she can use Sentinel to take an AoO and reduce speed to 0 ion hit).
( Meant to get a map up but had to run out. In the meantime. Yes. Deflect Attack is retroactive? Or stated before rolls? If the latter just roll a d4 to determine which one.)
(At present both attacks hit and Dev will be down. Just checking -- the Doppelganger surprised Dev? If Deflect Attack is possible and brings either of the rolls under 13, it will miss and Dev will still be up.)

(Ah, I see what happened. I’d posted that Dev moved to Quinn. But let’s just play the ball where it lies. :)
Dev is walloped by the Doppelganger, the wind knocked out of him, and he crashes backwards into the work bench. Grasping its edge, white-knuckled, he gasps for breath, wheezing, unable to call to mind the arcane trigger he’d used before on the assassin. The cold facade of his cowled features breaks, and for a moment, he looks even younger than his seventeen years, wide-eyed and fearful. He scampers away from the doppelganger (Disengage action, ending his turn in the square south of Progo) putting a table between himself and the brutal creature.

Progo shoves his shield into the creatures jaw just as it snaps up at him. Come on Progo, don't let the furniture get the best of Progo. Just as he's thinking about pulling back to a more defensive position, he sees Dev out of the corner of his eye come up behind him, clearly focused in the other direction. Blasted boy, so much for backing up. Atleastthis mean Dev trust him to jave his back and Progo cannot fail that trust. Progo shoves his shield aside on hopes to create an opening against the creature.
(Still rage and reckless)
Attack: 10 to hit (The dice are not fans of Progo at the moment!)
As one of the daggers thrown at Lokilia hits, she focuses on the Doppelganger and two Duergar that have advanced on them. She casts Moonbeam centered on the middle Duergar but such that Maggie is not within the area. (I believe I can get all 3 that way.) A silvery beam of light shines down on a 5 ft. radius area.
(Moonbeam has 5 ft. radius, if starting turn in the area or first time entering on their turn, CON Save DC 13, or take 2d10 radiant damage, half on success. Save at Disadvantage if shapechanger and shapechagers revert to true form on failed save. Intend to not get Maggie in the range. Lasts 1 minute.)
"Nuts and bolts", Normont curses as more of the Nameless Ones join the fray, and seeing Dev forced to retreat from the other doorway. He briefly considers turning his attention to the larger battle behind, but seeing Lokilia transform into her Dire Wolf form he fires once more at the mimic first.
"Things aren't any better here, but we are pressing through", he replies to the voice outside, knowing it is worse than that. They have lost Quinn.
He instructs Maggie to continue her assault on whatever enemy she is facing, which she dutifully does, biting out at the doppleganger.
She will remain alert to anyone trying to attack Lokilia, and will deflect it if possible.

Werhann keeps his focus on the doppleganger's mind even while he steps out of Dev's way and closer behind Maggie to thrust his lance into the creature. It is quite clear that everyone around is an enemy at the moment, but he hopes to get a glimpse at the creatures' actions before he commits them, if possible. Wouldn't it be easier to fight if one knew what their opponent was going to do?
If the doppleganger thinks of attacking anyone, Werhann will try to warn them, hoping to give them an edge, although unsure whether he can be faster than the creature itself.
With his movement, Werhann walks over to stand directly behind Maggie. Then, with his action, he attacks the doppleganger, rolling 14+6=20 to hit, dealing 2+4=6 magical piercing damage on a hit.
((I just realised Booming Blade doesn't work with the reach property, so I believe there were an instance or two of its damage before that weren't supposed to be applied. Oops, sorry. Still getting used to a new character.))
