Lord Akkron, trying to save his rapidly dwindling spell slots, targets the northern ogre and tries to finish it off with three beams of black ice. But first... he uses a first-level spell slot to hit the ogre with a hex
The Cultist barely lands a blow, but Khessa, inflamed by Clarac's example, hardly feels it and counterattacks quickly, with two lateral slashes to the ribs and a final thrust to the chest.

Round 3: Tyekanik
Tyek recklessly attacks the ogres. If the first one falls, he moves south to get within his 15-ft reach of the other one.
Movement: If possible / needed, move south to get within reach of the second ogre Action: Two Reckless Attacks against the ogres with Annam's Greataxe as his Elemental Cleaver (thunder) Attack 1: 37, Damage: 45 (thunder) + 39 (force) = 84 (total) Attack 2: 31, Damage: 26 (thunder) + 32 (force) = 58 (total) Bonus Action: if either of the attacks was a critical hit or reduced a creature to 0 HP, the Great Weapon Master feat allows him to make an extra attack as a bonus action.
Because of Reckless Attack, all attacks against Tyek have advantage until the start of his next turn.

Both ogres fall to your attacks; the room falls silent as there is no more threats.
Khessa is delighted with yet another victory and points to the altar for Tyekanik: "That piece of furniture seems so... out of style! It ruins the look of the room. Maybe we should destroy it, don't you think?"
The blonde arcane warrior, meanwhile, examines the southernmost room, the one that seems devoid of other exits. Does it contain anything of possible interest?
After that, the tall adventuress consults with her guide: "Do you have any idea which path should lead us to the Nefarious Duo? The northern staircase or the eastern staircase?"
If the guide doesn't know, Khessa, considering the party is coming from the east, believes the northern path is more likely—and leads that way.
Movement: 10-ft of movement toward the fire. Then, after misty stepping into the southeast room, moving to the southeast corner of that room.
Both arrows strike. What you see in the room to the southeast appears to be a lair with a cooking fire and large cauldron in the center
[[ OOC: @Aaggie - At the end of the fight, Vrox was in the room to the southeast at the top of the stairs. ]]
Once the fight is over, Vrox welcomes Khessa to help him search the room, including checking the cauldron. Once he's satisfied that it's just a common ogre den and not something more nefarious, he rejoins the others in the main chamber below. Perception27
Vrox considers the devils they just fought and checks both the north and northeastern stairs to determine whether there's any sign or scent of their recent passage down either staircase. Survival31 (advantage when tracking Fiends since they're one of his Favored Enemies)
Khessa is delighted with yet another victory and points to the altar for Tyekanik: "That piece of furniture seems so... out of style! It ruins the look of the room. Maybe we should destroy it, don't you think?"
As the last ogre falls, Tyekanik looks around for any other opponents. Not seeing any, he happily follows Khessa's suggestion: "Gladly!" Before he finishes raging, he takes a few great strides across the room to get about 10-ft from the alter before raising Annam's Greataxe and bringing it crashing down upon the cultists' altar.
Action: Two Attacks on the altar with Annam's Greataxe as his Elemental Cleaver (thunder) Attack 1: 20, Damage: 30 (thunder) + Unable to parse dice roll. (force) = 22 (total) Attack 2: 33, Damage: 37 (thunder) + Unable to parse dice roll. (force) = Unable to parse dice roll. (total)
Note: I rolled twice as many damage dice for the Greataxe (but not the extra damage from the Elemental Clever feature) because one of the Annam's Greataxe's properties is: "It also deals double damage to objects and structures."
After the battle, Clarac prays for the souls of the mortals they killed, and hopes that in death they can escape the corruption that turned them down the path of evil. When she is done, she asks Vrox, "Did you pick up the trail of any demons?"
Khessa compliments Tyekanik on the result: "Nice job, my friend! In this form," she winks "those stones represent the true power (and ultimate fate) of the Nefarious Duo much better!"
The blonde arcane warrior, then, learning of the tracks, leads the party along the northern path.
You enter the large room, it has 2 large fires burning in the center, plus several torches along the wall. On the west end on a raised dais is an alter with the 8-pointred star upon it. Standing before it is a Gilgori with a lavish crown upon his head. Flanking him are two demons, one in all red, a large one in purple and gold robes. Between you and the Gilgori king are three red demons, and three blue ones.
They seem to have been expecting you but make no immediate movement as you enter the room. With a surprisingly booming voice, the King calls out, "Well, you don't seem to take warnings to heart, but I have been told to offer you one last time, to stop this foolishness and join the winning side."
The red demon next to the king, with a unique pendent with a symbol on it, speaks: "My master's offer remains, join and he'll make you the most powerful warlords in this new land. Conquer in his name, spread glory across the face of this world."
The other demon offers: "My mistress' offer also remains, offering all of the worldly and unworldly pleasures will be yours if you stop this crusade and join ours."

Sorry for the delay, it's been a long week.
There are tracks that lead towards the north passageway of the room
Khessa compliments Tyekanik on the result: "Nice job, my friend! In this form," she winks "those stones represent the true power (and ultimate fate) of the Nefarious Duo much better!"
The blonde arcane warrior, then, learning of the tracks, leads the party along the northern path.
Clarac follows Khessa up the northern path. She keeps her sword drawn, just in case any demons should leap out of the shadows.
Lord Akkron follows as well at a leisurely pace, staff held firmly in his desiccated hands.
Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
