Well... it should be Tyekanik's turn, but if he is not available, I"d say have the gargoyles act... Do they use their only action to approach Khessa? If yes, then we all might be free to act again for the new round...
Due to the Mind Whip, they are confused and don't immediately attack. You may continue the fight
Charging forward towards the nearest gargoyle, Tyekanik throws his axe at the first where it immediately appears back in his hand mid charge. Axe now firmly in hand he brings it down in another great swing, hoping to remind this statue that it should have remained still.
Initiative 29 BA: Rage Action: Attack: 28 Damage: 20 Attack: 26 Damage: 24 attacks made recklessly (so adv to hit him after), and with GWM -5 to hit
Your strikes are true, and both gargoyles are looking worse for wear.
Khessa runs to the goliath's side and tries to close the matter with a furry of lunges... She starts with the enemy she had burned at the start; if that gargoyle falls, she directs the nect trusts at the other one.
The faithful Alfred keep staying right behind her.
Mal will walk past the destroyed bodies of the gargoyles, moving pieces around with her foot wondering if there is anything of interest but doubting there is and will move to the door checking to see if it is locked and or trapped.
You move up to the large double doors. They appear to be much older than the other set of double doors you saw before. Similar design, with a unique yet "spidery" script in silver across the doors. The doors do not appear to be locked or trap. There are lit torches to either side of the doors.
Partly suspicious, partly intrigued, Khessa approaches this set of double doors you saw before and tries to understand if this 'unique yet spidery script in silver' is a mere decoration or a language...
The blonde arcane warrior should still have the ritual she cast as she entered the dungeon, Comprehend Languages, still active, since it lasts an hour... so, if the script on the door is a writing with a meaning (not a simple decorative pattern), she should understand it.
As you concentrate, the script beings to form letters and words of an ancient text, speaking of bowing low those who enter the house of Slaanesh, to welcome the dark pleasure and be free
"Hey friends..." Khessa shares, perplexed, what she discovered "According to this writing, it seems that through these doors one enters the house of a certain 'Slaanesh'... who must be a worthy companion of Azash, because upon entering it is recommended 'bowing low, to welcome the dark pleasure and be free'..."
"Obviously, now that I have already a god as an enemy (or maybe two, considering Lolth too?)," the blonde arcane warrior shrugs "no problem in antagonizing me with one more - especially one who presents himself in this way. But... before we go in… do any of you know anything about this deity?” her blue eyes focus mainly on Lord Akkron, the mentor who for her is a source of certainty regarding countless branches of knowledge, and on Brother Mainard, who perhaps knows more about religion (especially local religion) than anyone else in the party...
Brother Maynard digs through his pockets, and pulls out an old tome, and begins to flip through the pages. He scans a few, then flips through a few more, then scans again. He pauses, then looks up. "Slaanesh is recorded to be one of the older Chaos Gods, from the same time as Azash, if not older. Also referred to She who thirsts, a Dark Goddess of pleasure, pain, hedonism, excess, perfection and decadence. Lust, pride and self-indulgence are the hallmarks of all who follow it."
Sparhawk grunts, "Sounds about right for Zemochs, and a companion for Azash."
"Well, since we payed him a visi," Khessa sighs "I don't see why we shouldn't do the same for her. It would seem rude and discriminatory" and she opens the set of double doors.
Mal kind of perks up on the description of Slaanesh, "Doesn't seem all that bad, depending." And then follows Khessa into the room and moves off to the right once inside looking for a place to duck behind something and then looks around the room to see what she sees.
The door opens into a hallway that is ten feet wide running North to South. To the left it ends in rubble after 20 feet as it has collapsed, the hallway goes to the right for 20 feet, then turns 90 degrees to the left (West). There are torches every ten feet for illumination, the walls in this hallway have white plaster on them where the others were just the exposed brick. The plaster appears old, but there are faded paintings of various humanoids and human-like shapes that are hard to see from how faded they are. There are also shades of purple, pink and black mixed in the mosaics on the walls. The scenes show various scenes of carnal pleasures, such as the finest culinary delights, the most beautiful artworks, and the most sensual clothing.
As you approach the turn to the left, your see a script in purple that translates to: "Find pleasure in every moment, indulge in every whim. Let lesser races feel the burden of their crude lives. We are beyond such concerns or worries. Every power is ours to use, every sensation ours to experience. We are truly masters of the world, and all others exist only to satisfy our curiosities. We have earned our position of power. Let us forever taste the fruits of such achievement. Time itself is ours to command. We are eternal."
On the opposite wall, you see also in script: "Mere killing should never be enough. How much more intense is the feeling of inhaling the mist created when you vibrate a foe's body until he vaporises? How much more completely have you explored all a person can offer you than when you breathe them into yourself, leaving only the memory of them still a part of this world?"
There is another double door, black with what appears to be the number 6 in pink, and a name in Purple: Sai'lanthresh
"And these 'eternals' call being slaves to their own whims... 'pleasure'?" Khessa shakes her head in disbelief "Yeah, sure, way to go... I wonder if they have forgotten the feeling of having close someone you love... or if they are simply so ignorant and miserable that they have never felt it".
The blonde arcane warrior, as she approaches the door, nevertheless tries to question Brother Maynard again, as the most expert member of the party on the subject of crazy deities: "The number '6' in pink and the name 'Sai'lanthresh' in purple mean anything to you? Can you think of any connection with our dear 'Slaanesh'?"
Reading the first text, and responding to Mal, Tyekanik says with a grin, "Other than the killing for pleasure, though I do love a good fight, and lesser races things, he does have some interesting philosophy."He then keeps his eyes alert for any threats.

Khessa's thrusts:
1st Attack: 28 Damage: 19 (piercing) + 23 (necrotic) = 42
2nd Attack: 39 Damage: 19 (piercing) + 19 (necrotic) = 38
3rd Attack: 38 Damage: 19 (piercing) + 15 (necrotic) = 34
Both Gargoyles collapse to the ground after the crushing attack. The area is clear.
Side note-I'll be away until Sunday evening
Ok... for when you return: having defeated the guardians, we continue exploring past them! 😀
Mal will walk past the destroyed bodies of the gargoyles, moving pieces around with her foot wondering if there is anything of interest but doubting there is and will move to the door checking to see if it is locked and or trapped.

Akkron ponders the name 'Slaanesh' carefully, trying to remember anything he can about the being.
I guess Religion is probably the most appropriate skill here.
Religion: 25 (or 15 if this needs to be rolled at disadvantage). Adding +5 from Knolwedge from a Past Life on this one for a total of either 30 or 20.
Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Provide feedback!
Tyekanik shrugs and grumbles, "I know only the gods who are enough trouble to have to be avoided or dealt with."
