Arcane Hand Punch Attack: 29 Damage: 29 (force) Fire Bolt Attack: 23 Damage: 23 (fire)
With a look of shock on his face, the mage falls, and slowly dissolves into a mist that flows out of the room to the northeast. The black energy cages fizzle out, and the devils begin to come to their feet, and even Hanaphaen appears to be shaking off what ever happened to him, and he begins to look around for the mage. "Its not over yet," he warns
"His phylactery is in that direction. We cannot let him escape," Clarac says, pointing in the direction the mage's mist cloud went. She immediately follows the cloud.

You run into the wall of the tree; there is a small hole in the wall that the mist went through.
"That's my apprentice... always rushing into things," he mutters.
He glances at Tyek, then towards Vrox and the pile of devils who are currently boxed up.
"Let's make this easy so we can all rush in and break that arrogant prick's soul... Tye, would you be willing to do the honors and reduce that door to kindling for us?"

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Khessa puts an arm on Clarac's shoulder: "Stay with me, our hunt will not be stopped".
The blonde arcane warrior looks through the hole to get an idea of the destination, then teleports there, bringing the paladin with her.
You arrive into an outer hall, there is a circular staircase behind you. In the room, four exquisite wooden chests, each decorated in golden filigree, sit in this hall. At the south end of the hall, a thick adamantine door is carved with intricate Elvish script. The inscription reads, ‘Speak three names that made me.’”

[[OOC: if I understand correctly, there's no door here. I think that the lich/mist just made it through a narrow crack or hole in the wall.]]

Of course, the tower is in a magical tree, so maybe Tyek can make a door!
(Wall.... door... for Tyek, does it really make a difference?)
Tyekanik nods to the wizard and says, "I'll make a door". If his rage has ended, he enters a rage again, and attacks the wall where Khessa found the hole through which the lich's mist vanished.
Bonus Action: rage, growing to Huge size and imbuing Annam's Greataxe as his Elemental Cleaver with acid damage Movement: Move to the wall Action: Two Reckless Attacks against the wall with Annam's Greataxe as his Elemental Cleaver (acid damage) Attack 1: 33, Damage: 30 (magical acid) + 15 (force) = 45 (total) Attack 2: 34, Damage: 26 (magical acid) + 19 (force) = 45 (total) Free Action: Talking
Because of Reckless Attack, all attacks against Tyek have advantage until the start of his next turn.

[[OOC: @Aaggi - When Vairae turned into a mist, the black cages that were containing the devils vanished, right? They're now free to move and act?]]
While Tyek works on battering the tree, Vrox helps the devils back to their feet. He asks Haraphaen whether he or the devils can help the party destroy the lich for good. "Do you know what the lich's phylactery looks like? Have you see it? Or did you help the wizard weave spells to protect it?"

Haraphaen still looks a little frazzled but composes himself. "A crystal, I believe. It will be in a very secure place." He looks around at the other devils picking themselves up, having been released from the energy cages. "I also believe that is where his essence went, he must regenerate if his form is destroyed."
This is the room where you are now Khessa, you are standing at the south end before the door, behind you are the four chests, and the stairs are at the top
Khessa, having received no answer, tries again to ask her friends beyond the hole: "Listen - Clarac and I are in front of a door that requires the solution of a riddle to open. I'd bet my head that the phylactery is behind there! Help me solve it, anyone who remembers anything about the High Mage! The riddle is: 'Speak three names that made me'! The wizard's story should have the answer... does anyone remember anything?"

[[ OOC: Well... Khessa and Clarac are probably at the Phylactery's door... and asked for help with a riddle to open it... ]]

Yes, a good assumption. The clue is in the inscription.
Even with his great axe, Tyek's chopping is causing some wood chips to fly, but the tree is tougher than it looks.
