Sparhawk and Brother Maynard, along with the Lord Marshal lead you all back to the keep. The marshal leads you all to one of his private chambers, where a large map of Eosia is hung on the wall. Sparhawk and Maynard goes up and review the options.
Sparhawk points to two cities, "As we have to cross the Great Sea, we can either go here to the City of Cenar in Kandor in the north." He draws a route from your location generally northwest to the City of Cenar. "We can also head west to the City of Larium in Arcium. If we go to Kandor, we could do a side trip to the Dwarven Kingdom, and see what they know. If we go to Larium, we could also pay a call on the Council of Wizards, and even the Elvan Stronghold."
Brother Maynard looks at Sparhawk with a half grin. "Well, if we go the western route, why not through Elania, so you can stop by and say hello to your wife, the Queen?" Then he chuckled. Sparhawk looks to the group for their thoughts.
Akkron says his (temporary) farewell to Robert and joins the others.
"If your wife is waiting for you, it would be courteous to let her know that you are alright, considering the situation you have found yourself in," the lich points out to Sir Sparhawk with a chuckle, then quickly returns to a more serious mood. "Hopefully the dwarves haven't been wooed by the empty promises of a certain mad goddess, but we should probably prepare ourselves for that possibility as well before we visit them."

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
“Better to plan for all scenarios, even the worst, Master Akkron,” Khessa concedes “but it seems unlikely to me that the Nefarious Duo would openly attempt to bring the dwarves as a whole into joining their forces. This is what they are trying to do with the Trolls, because the Trolls have already been allies of Zemnoch, in the past, I believe. But in the case of the dwarves, the Nefarious Duo is probably trying to seduce and corrupt individuals, as they are also doing in the realms of men".
"I would therefore suggest we follow the way that allows us to reach the Trolls more quickly," the blonde arcane warrior concludes "because their possible alliance with the forces of evil (being an 'as a whole' alliance) would have a big impact - therefore It seems to me that it should be the first plot to be thwarted".
Sparhawk rubs his chin as he looks at the map. "Well, we could go through Elania and I can stop by the palace. Then we can make our way northward through Eldamar and speak with the Elves. Then to the Council of Wizards if you think that is appropriate, and then up through to Gurn Borim in Arafal and speak with the Dwarves. Then to Cenar to take passage over to Thalasia. We can go to the palace at Emsat and speak to Wagrum, and see if Ulath is available. he has good rapport with Bhlokw."
He turns and looks at the group, "It will take time, but we can make sure the Elves, Dwarves, and the Council of Wizards be aware, and we can see if there is any dark influences already at work."
Sparhawk nods, "Then we need to prepare for a long time on the road. See to your personal equipment and restock supplies, rations and water. We'll get one night of good rest, then leave at first light in the morning."
“Through my prayers, spells and items, I will also be able to provide food and water for the group. But, I would recommend getting provisions just in case magic is squelched. “ the Saintess suggests.
Tyekanik says, "Getting to the troll is priority, though dwarves are always fun company, and strong despite their small size. I'll also grab a few dozen rations to be ready for the trip, though hopefully we can hunt along the way. And once we get to the sea let me handle the boat,"he adds with a grin patting a small box hanging from his side.
OK, before we leave again, we have some loot to sell (and divide the proceeds from): 7 black bladed daggers 1 Set of Dull Black Plate Armor 7 Scimitars 1 Maul 1 Tentacle Rod
Furthermore, during the day Khessa tries to copy the last scrolls she has left (with the help of Master Akkron, if he is kind enough to 'come to her rescue' yet another time): - Bestow Curse (3rd) - Invisibility (2nd) - Phantasmal Force (2nd) - Tasha's Mind Wip (2nd)

The keep's armorer comes and looks at the weapons you have, and offers 21gp for the dagger; 210 for the scimitars; 11gp for the maul; and 100gp for the rod totaling 342 gp. The Lord Marshal himself buys the plate armor from you for 2000gp.
Robert joins you at the keep, wearing an older style of studded leather armor, a rapier and dagger hanging from his hip, a quiver on his hip, and a longbow over his shoulder. A large, round hat covers his head that he is wearing low over his face.
"I found this old hat, I hope it can conceal my unique features plus I am still not sure about the sun yet. My horse is in the stable yard, they took him to join yours."
Akkron can't help but chuckle at Robert's concern regarding his 'unique features.'
"Somehow, I don't think that you're the one most likely to attract unwanted attention around here..." he says. "Anyway, I suppose that getting to the trolls so we can start negotiations should be our top priority. Presumably followed by the Devkarin liches... hopefully some of them have memories long enough to understand the magnitude of the calamity that will ensue should the two mad gods win."

(OOC: Since I was slow in getting my first post up, let's just say that Brother Maynard introduced Vrox to the group here as they're preparing at the keep.)
Vrox springs forward, bounding a few steps in two small jumps. Despite landing on the hard stone floor, his hooves seem to make any sound. Vrox is clearly a satyr: his bare legs are covered in thick, dark brown fur and they end in little cloven hooves instead of feet, and two short, straight horns stick up from his forehead hear his hairline. He looks tiny compared to Khessa much less next to Tyekanik. He around 5'6" tall with a slight build. He has a short, trim beard, and his long, wavy brown hair, streaked with grey, hangs untidily over his shoulders. His skin is very tanned and lined. Your first impression is a strange mixture of both great age and the unbridled enthusiasm of youth.
The ranger's clothing is all dark earth tones. He wears dark studded leather armor, finely embossed with intricate designs of vines and leaves. It covers almost to his knees, like a gambeson, and his forearms are covered in braces of the same stuff. A pendant with a black gem dangles from a delicate silver chain around his neck. A horn and various pouches hang at his belt along with a rapier and a wicked-looking dagger. His belt buckle and fasteners all appear to made of bronze or silver or horn.
After Vrox springs forward, he does a sort of dancing step as he turns side to side to take you all in, fixing each of you in turn with a piercing gaze. He says, "It is a great honor to be invited to such a company of heroes, and it is good luck to meet at the start of a journey." His voice surprisingly deep and clear, and his words seem filled with sincere emotion. He nimbly makes a deep bow, and you notice that he has a quiver bristling with arrows on his back, but he doesn't seem to carry a bow. Perhaps he left it in another room?
Vrox says, "I would take nothing but pleasure in our upcoming journey if not for the circumstances. You may call me Vrox. I am Honeysweet, Bee Warden of the Summer Court. I am the finder of Ways and the One who Crosses Over. I fought alongside Laoch the Bloodied in his long war against the Unseelie Court and their wicked allies. But now we hear of a threat so great that it is a peril on both sides of the Crossings."
He turns his head to look at the satyr. A ranger... he should be useful to their mission.
"Welcome, Vrox... I imagine that I am not the kind of company that you normally keep, but I wish to prevent this world being plunged into whatever insanity the two mad gods have planned."
"Oh? Do you frequently watch me in private company?", Vrox asks, smiling with mirth.
If Akkron is not wearing his disguise, then Vrox looks at him thoughtfully and says, "No, I think you're right. You're something different. I have traveled with many and diverse companions in my years but probably never one quite like you."
"...And you can be sure that he will succeed, Vrox!"
"Pleasure to meet you!" the woman quickly farstrides on her long legs, despite the different weapons that she carries on her, in various sheaths or secured to straps. Once she reaches Vrox, she stretches out a hand to shake.
Vrox blinks for a moment at the hand, looks up at Khessa, and then reaches out to take her hand. "I forgot my manners for a moment," he says, "I have been away for quite some time. One forgets that strangers shake hands upon meeting in this land."
A self-moving construct, humanoid in appearance, but clearly made of inorganic material remained at Khessa's side and now, invited by her, he holds out his hand in turn: "This is Alfred, my butler. And this" she says, as a bat that was flying near her lands on her shoulder "is my brother, Anator".
Vrox shakes Alfred's hand and nods his head to the bat. "I wonder," he says playfully, "whether your parents were more surprised at the girl with golden tresses or the bat. Such mixed families are not common outside of the Feywild!"
...Vrox shakes Alfred's hand and nods his head to the bat. "I wonder," he says playfully, "whether your parents were more surprised at the girl with golden tresses or the bat. Such mixed families are not common outside of the Feywild!"
"How nice that someone so inclined to bring good humor is joining us!" Khessa laughs at Vrox's last words "Aren't you a gnome cleric of Garl Glittergold in disguise, are you?" she pretends to examine the other carefully with her blue eyes.
"Our parents weren't surprised at all, however," the blonde arcane warrior explains, still smiling "because Anator was born in human form, like me... The fact is that one bad night, a drow raid wiped out the our village, Twardens. My family and I were enslaved and poor Anator, who had tried to defend us, was killed. Some time later, when I managed to regain my freedom and, due to lack of alternatives, I had embraced life as an adventuress, I slowly began to learn not only to fight, but also to master magic... and I was able to call Anator back to me, in this form - when I summoned a Familiar... the celestial spirit who came to me was the soul of my brother Anator, who did not want to leave me alone to face the difficult situation I found myself in at that time!"
"Since that day he has always been by my side..." the tall adventurer delicately scratches her brother's fur "even now that we have managed to free the rest of my family from drow captivity - thanks also to the invaluable help of Master Akkron, who I call 'Master' because he taught me what little magic I managed to learn, but who was like a second father to me, from the day I met him and discovered that we shared common enemies" her blue eyes furtively run to the lich with affection. "Anator could have stayed with my family, then... he, like me, had certainly not spontaneously chosen a life of danger and deprivation... he found himself living it due to circumstances... but he still chose to stay with me!"
"More arms to fight the gods and deal with trolls!" Tyekanik booms with a grin. "Since they,"gesturing towards Khessa and Akkron, "told you what we're doing, I guess I'll just go get the drinks!" He then looks around for anyone who could bring a large round of beers.

I even found the love of my life and, when I'm not having to go around preventing apocalypses, I'm a happy wife and mother of two wonderful children.
