"Hey, why don't we go to the library?" suggests Merrick. "I think I saw the creature there once?"

Dyoken considers (Insight: 1)... Nah nothing.

He approaches the druids and waits til they are able to answer. Before asking if they've seen a gog around.

The pair of druids stop their molding once they notice DK standing by them. One is a kithkin man and the other a human woman. They both have a blue, circular mark on their foreheads. To describe it haphazardly, you could say its like a fancy upside-down 'U.'

"Hello sir, did you need help?" The kithkin asks as the human gets back to work. "A gog? Well, I can't say I've seen any gogs as I don't what one is. I have, however, seen a dog. Fluffy, good boy, strange horns. I tried to pet it, but it disappeared over yonder." The kithkin points vaguely north. "Wish I could help you more, friend."

"Gotta focus, Rick." DK says, "prioritize simple tasks to finish them quickly." He thanks the druids, and starts heading vaguely north.

Luthok looks merely shakes his head at Merricks suggestion. "Libraries have brought me nothing but trouble recently, and if they've helped its been only next to nothin'." Luthok follows DK due north. 

Muireach shrugs and Merrick apologetically, “Majority rules, my hands are tied...” As he follows along with the rest of the group.

"Oh well," shrugs Merrick. Before following the others, he turns to the Kithkin man.

"Excuse me, have you seen a pegasus around? I think it's like a unicorn, but it has wings, and no horn. I'm trying to get to the Sky sovereign."

"A flying unicorn without a horn?" The kithkin druid responds. "No, don't think I've seen anything like that. I think I heard there were unicorns in the forest to the far east, but those don't fly. My pa saw one back 50 odd years, give or take a few!"

You all continue searching northward past the gardens. After several minutes of calling for gog, whistling, and such, Muireach spies that familiar floof! 

Gog stands about 50 feet away standing on the corner of a street. Once it knows you've seen it, it runs off! Catch that gog!!!

--- Skill Challenge Time! ---

Try to do things that you think will help you catch the dog. This will be a fairly easy skill challenge, so the DC is set to 10. You need to obtain 2 Successes before you obtain 2 Failures. 

Describe what you try to do and roll the appropriate skill. For example, athletics to catch up to dog. You cannot use the same skill twice in a row! DM will describe the results of your successes or failures. Good luck!

Dyoken could certainly catch the flood and haul it bodily home. But he'll give it that quiet subtle approach instead. "HAH! Come on then! That! That is GOOOOD BOOOYYY!" DK shouts with a gravely powerful call. (Animal Handling: 7)

(Wait two successes? I should be taking this more seriously...)

Gog looks over at DK, thrusts it's nose into the air, and skedaddles! 

(Successes: 0 --- Failures: 1... Need 2 success before 2 failures.)

Merrick sneaks up behind the dog as DK distracts him with his horrible whistling. He hovers just over the floof, hands ready to grab. One more success with something to distract gog and Merrick will be able to pick the little guy up!

Muireach straightens his posture, locks eyes with the dog, and extends a hand, “Dog, come. The Lord of Heroes commands you.” Persuasion: 17

Gog tilts his head and sniffs Muireach's hand. As he does, Merrick snatches the dog!!!

Merrick has obtained Gog.

As Merrick holds the fluffy creature in his hands, it somehow turns enough to lick Merrick from chin to forehead leaving a trail of slobber. 

Merrick giggles. "You're a good boy aren't you?" He laughs and tickles the doggle.

Gog likes it.

"Excelent! Now don't lose this one. Let's go fetch the lantern." DK isn't at all upset that Gog prefers Merrick... 

“Sounds like a plan to me. However, perhaps you and Luthok should go grab it, while Merrick and I return the dog. I could imagine him escaping before we make it to both places.” 

Luthok walks over to Merrick. "I am not leaving you alone with something that should be kept from escaping AGAIN. Wherever the mongrel goes, I GO."  

“Fair enough, me and Dyoken then? Seems simpler just to expedite this.” Muireach offers.

Dyoken nods and heads off toward the yard with Muireach leaving Luthok to tend to Merrick and Gog.

At the yard DK packs up his campsite with effortless speed. Rolling his tent and gear into a neat little bundle in his pack.

Muireach picks up the lantern from where Merrick left it. He waits for Dyoken to finish packing, making small talk while he does so. “So... Aversham, right? It sounds like a... mildly interesting place. As much as it can be on this plane, I suppose... What’s it like?”

"It is at that." DK replies as he hefts his bag onto his back. "It wasn't interesting enough to keep me as a boy, but things are a bit different up there. Lots of people want to see the big beasts, crocodiles and such, but the tiny critters are the ones that'll get ya. The snakes, and spiders, and tiny fish are the real terrors. Maybe our journey will take us there one day. To the wild Outerbacks. We might meet some Averiginees." DK laughs thinking back on his youth.
