(We watched it turn Red when undead were near, so that makes sense.)

Muireach swings the lantern from side to side in bored fashion, “You know, Dyoken, now that I think about it, it was actually that stone lantern that Lysuna gave us that purged the shadows. You mind if I just...” Muireach pokes the stone lantern with Calibolg in front of Hel.

"Do you wish for me to light the fire again, my love?" Calibolg's voice echoes in Muireach's mind. Her voice is playful as always. "For you, anything-! Well. Within reason, of course."

The sword tip burns and lights up the stone lantern. Hel seems to cast a long shadow behind them. Their mask looks ominous as the light from the lantern glows beneath their mask. Other than this, it isn't clear if anything has changed. None of the shadows move or give a sense of malice. 

“You are too kind, my lady. You must forgive me for my lack of enthusiasm, I’m somewhat out of sorts today.” Muireach observes the lantern, is it the same kind of light as it was originally?

"Why do we want to wake a statue that might try to kill us again??" Luthok takes a bite out of a bisquit, crumbs falling into, and sticking to the various gooey pockets in his beard. 

“Because she’s a red-tier and may know more about Grimmore than any of us combined. Additionally, why are you hooked on the idea that these might kill us? Everyone might. Urich could probably do it if he wanted.”

"Yo. Don't put thoughts in my good friend's head. I'm probably about one hit from an easy death. Not as spray as I used to be." Again, it's hard to tell exactly how old Urich is. His hair is white, but his face is weirdly youthful. "Grimmore is kinda a kiddy name to call 'em though. What exactly are you trying to figure out?"

“Well, as we’ve already established, he’s been kidnapping girls to create these... magical lich girls? I’m still not clear on that. It’s become somewhat of a personal vendetta really. What do you mean, ‘kiddy name?’”

Merrick looks at the shiny colors from the lantern, then turns back to Sir Garamon. "So where were you when you saw this portal to the plane of silliness? Do you think it's the same as mischief? Or are they related? What did you see there??

"I am about this close.." Luthok holds up two fingers, half an inch apart. "..from quitting on you guys, but V here is keeping in place for now. You chasing down anything that might be dangerous, like hunting for relics in tombs or waking powerful, bloody, lich-warlocks from a slumber is NOT part of my retirment plan and NOT making it any easier to put up with you." Luthok stuffs another bisquit into his mouth.

"Oh, the plane of mischief, I've never been! Have you!?" Sir Garamon chitters excitedly. "Oh, the plane of silliness was pure nonsense. Like I said, the color scheme was a bit surreal. The sky was like a blended rainbow! It was never the same color for very long. I do think that many of the trees were reaching out and grab me. They had such awful faces. I met a weird lady there who was covered in feathers, but she definitely wasn't a bird... I think. Anyway, we had a lovely time. Actually, I think that was my last adventure until Urich found me trapped in a cavern."

Sir Garamon and Merrick are happily chatting away, which causes a sigh to escape from Urich's mouth. "We shouldn't let those two hang out for too long. I'm not sure which one is the worse influence.

"And, about Grimmore. That's, you know, kinda silly - " Urich shoots a glance at Sir Garamon who is about to interject, "and no, not like the plane of silliness as you call it. I mean, Grimmore is like the fairytale name, right? I'm pretty sure that's just what some of the dweebs that interpret Su'dorian myths call him. Nah, his name is probably Ag'Morna. I think..."

"Alright." Dyoken says, "Who's up for some Chicanery while we wait for Vivi to come to?" He pulls out a set of dice and plops down at Urich's table. He sets the dice on the table: 20

"What do chickens have to do with dice?!" asks the very smart Sir Garamon.

"Chicanery." DK says "In some regions they call it 'Skullduggary'. Start by placing a bet and rolling your 'mark'" he sets a gold piece on the table and rolls a cube. (Mark: 3) "The objective is to roll closer to ten than your opponent without going over." He says sliding 3 dice over toward Garamond, two cubes and a pyramid. He separates out one of the cubes for his opponent.

"Then you get into the trickery. You can increase your wager, and roll the little die to either 'Pull' your opponents roll higher, or 'Trip' them lower. You can always 'Stand' without any trickery, if you like. Finally we each roll the final roll to determine the winner. Again you can increase your wager here to call in the 'Accomplice'. To re-roll the first die along with the last die. Or you can play it 'Straight' just rolling the last die alone." 

He looks at the die he rolled and grimaces "oof... That's no good."

Luthok snorts out of his nose. "We're doing gambling now??? Well.. Have bloody fun while your at it. Urich, can I look at your book?" Luthok walks over to Urich and stops right in front of him. "I get grumpy when i'm bored."

Merrick sees the die, and is drawn to it like a moth to flame. "Oooh! This sounds like Tongo!"

Turning to Garamon, his new best friend, he continues. "You'd like Tongo. You can confront, acquire, evade, or retreat! We can try it next time. You'd mentioned chickens, you don't want to count them before you've rolled your dice. That's how you know you're ahead."

 “Ag’Morna? We’ve been looking in the completely wrong place then... I’m not versed in the lore of this plane, is Ag’Morna related to Lysuna in any way?”

"Sure thing, pal." Urich shrugs and retrieves the book. He hands it to Luthok. (Luthok, make an intelligence check!)

"Ag'Morna, the OG god of death. He is in the same pantheon as Lysuna. While most of those gods are related to Lysuna by blood, Ag'Morna and some of the, heh, more shadowy guys aren't related to her at all. They just sat at the same table, ya dig?" Urich leans against a wall, arms crossed. He seems to be watching Sir Garamon.

"Ugh, counting chickens is quite hard. They keep moving! I am not a fan of chickens, to be honest with you, but I will play this game of chicken if you'll allow!"

"Thanks" Luthok snatches the book from Urichs hands and starts flipping through the pages. 

Intelligence: 3

As soon as Luthok gets to reading, he is quickly overwhelmed by the jargon within. There are absolutely no pictures either!!!

Basically, the book makes no sense to him.

For the next few hours, you all wait in Urich's parlor. Most of you are playing dice with Dyoken, while Urich spends some time trying to explain different passages to Luthok. 

Time really flies until you all hear a loud shriek! It's a young girl's voice -- Vivi! 

You chase after the sound of her voice and find her on her butt near Hel's unmoving form. Vivi looks completely dazed and frightened to see Hel in front of her. 

Adrenaline still pumping through your system, you suddenly hear the sound of a music box chiming... it's coming from Hel.
