Artus rejoins his friends, "I did not hear anything. how about you guys? Also what should we do about those eyes in the fireplace downstairs?" Artus is starting to breathe a little heavy from running up and down the stairs a couple times.
“I think we have more pressing matters to deal with, like getting Andrei back on his feet. I propose we bunk up here until Andrei wakes up”
Reggie walks out of the bedroom and opens the door right outside to the left and peers in the room. Dusty shelves line the walls of this room. A few of the shelves have folded sheets, blankets, and old bars of soap on them. There is a cobweb covered broom in the corner of the room.
Tilo curses when he sees Andrei's condition, his sunken eyes and withered skin as if the specter had stolen raw vitality from the man's body. "Damn, we need to get him more comfortable! Look at him!" Running from the nursery, he rips the covers off the bed, slapping it a few times with the flat of his blade to see if it animates like the armor did. When he is certain isn't moving, he tests it once more by stepping up on it before hopping down and returning to Andrei. Yelling for the closest person to help him, moves moves Andrei and lays him on the bed. "He told me about these ghosts once. They weaken your life force until you've had a full night's rest. I'll watch over him until he's alright." With that, he clears the nightstand closest to Andrei and sits on top of it, cross legged, meditating while keeping his senses alert for danger.
Gonna go for the benefit of a short rest while Tilo waits for Andrei to wake up.
Reggie sees Tilo taking care of Andrei and nods. He looks at Artus and Lando. "Let's take a little break and then at least make sure the rest of this floor is safe. After that, we can hold up in here for the night. Hopefully Andrei will be back to rights after a good night's sleep."
Reggie walks into the bedroom, slings his back to the floor, lies down with his knees bent and his head propped up on his pack. His swords are at his sides for quick use and his flask is lying on his torso. His eyes are open, staring at the ceiling as if it is not there. Occasionally, he takes a sip from his flask as he rests.
After your short rest you head out and search the bathroom, you listen to the door but don't hear anything so you open it and look in. This dark room contains a wooden tub with clawed feet, a small iron stove with a kettle resting atop it, and a barrel under a spigot in the east wall. A cistern on the roof used to collect rainwater, which was borne down a pipe to the spigot; however, the plumbing no longer works.
Satisfied that it is empty you head off to the last room on the floor and listen once again but hear nothing. You open the door slowly.
The double doors to this room have dusty panes of stained glass set into them. Designs in the glass resemble windmills.
The dusty, cobweb-filled master bedroom has burgundy drapes covering the windows. Furnishings include a four-poster bed with embroidered curtains and tattered gossamer veils, a matching pair of empty wardrobes, a vanity with a wood-framed mirror and jewelry box , and a padded chair. A rotting tiger-skin rug lies on the floor in front of the fireplace, which has a dust-covered portrait of Gustav and Elisabeth Durst hanging above it. A web-filled parlor in the southwest corner contains a table and two chairs. Resting on the dusty tablecloth is an empty porcelain bowl and a matching jug.
A door facing the foot of the bed has a full-length mirror mounted on it.
You took a sucessful short rest so if you were going to do anything special, Hit dice or whatever, just post it so I know and can adjust.

"No baby in the crib. Pipes that no longer work. Dust everywhere. This house doesn't seem very lived in." Since there's a hidden door behind the mirror in the other bedroom, Reggie will check behind the mirror in the master bedroom as well. And behind the portrait. He'll then also open the three doors (two closets and a balcony?). When he sees that one has a balcony, he'll go out on the balcony and analyze a little further the fog. How far can he see? Does the fog bother him just standing on the balcony? Can he see any movement outside? Can he see the sun? If so, does it match up with his idea of what time it should be?
Reggie begins looking around the master bedroom looking for anything. He checks behind the Mirror and portrait and finds nothing. He opens the first door and it is a small closet with dust everywhere but otherwise, it is empty. A dumbwaiter in the corner of the west wall has a button on the wall next to it.
As you go outside onto the balcony you notice the fog has receded a little and you are able to see about 10' past the house in all directions but after that, the fog is so thick you cannot see through it. You can feel a cool breeze coming from the east as you stand on the balcony and as you look around you think you catch a glimpse of someone watching you from the house to the north of you but when you look again the curtains close.
You look up in the sky and it is very cloudy and overcast and you cannot see the sun directly but you can feel it's warmth on your skin. As you look in the sky you notice and large bat fly by you and you could swear it looks directly at you and smiles as it continues on its way.
"Nothing," Reggie almost whispers, coming back into the house. He scrutinizes the dumb waiter as he walks by it, but then shakes his head. He walks out of the room, across the dusty balcony, and into the bedroom where Tilo and Andrei are resting. He lays back down on the floor, his head once again resting on his pack and his eyes far away.
Reggie wakes the next morning, runs his hands through his salt-and-pepper hair, rubs the sleep out of his dark eyes, and drinks from his flask. The flask sounds as though it is getting very low — something that garners a disapproving grunt. "Has anyone seen any bottles of anything to drink in this haunted house?" he asks, collecting his things before walking out on the balcony to see what the fog is doing. He walks back in and addresses the others, "I think we should head up the stairs behind the mirror first. Then, we can head back to the second floor to look for stairs to the basement. I have a sinking feeling those kids were not what they seemed, but while we're here, we might as well look for anything which might tell us why night before last, we went to sleep heading toward Bezentil and woke up wherever we are now."
Once everyone is gathered in the room, Lando locks any locks on the doors he can find.
“I will take last watch”. He then finds a spot on the floor and chews on a ration. Washing it down with the last of his water, he lays down and is soon asleep.
"I agree with Reggie, check behind the mirror first. Maybe we find answers." Artus gets up and begins to run his fingers through his fur, trying to un-knot any rough spots. "It is odd that we were one place but now another.... Life is odd now that I travel with my new friends."

You all wake up feeling fine and refreshed, Andrei looks to be his normal self and if anyone asks how he is doing he responds "Fine" and then goes about his business. You gather your belongings and move the mirror and open the secret door. The stairs are dark and filled with cobwebs and dust. It looks as if no one has traveled these stairs in a long time. From the glow of Reggie and Tilo's moontouched swords you are able to make your way up the stairs without getting hurt.
The stairs climb 35' up in a l-shape before ending at a door. You listen to the door and when you don't hear anything, open it.This bare hall is choked with dust and cobwebs. There are various doors throughout the hallway.

Tilo awakes in the morning suddenly, having fallen asleep unintentionally reclined against the wall while watching over Andrei. At the thought, he looks over to find the man his old gruff self and smiles. Hopping off the nightstand his was sitting on and stretches briefly. He makes a quick meal of one of his rations and drinks some water, offering some to Reggie when he grumbles again about the lack of spirits (of the drinking variety).
When the other's are ready he leads the way to the attic under the light of his glowing shortsword, batting aside cobwebs as he goes. Tilo looks around they dusty room, "Definitely doesn't look like anyone is living here." He goes to the southern door listening carefully before opening it if he hears nothing.
Tilo listens carefully to the SOUTHERN door and hears nothing so he opens it and walks in.
This dust-choked room contains a slender bed, a nightstand, a small iron stove, a writing desk with a stool, an empty wardrobe, and a rocking chair. A smiling doll in a lacy yellow dress sits in the northern window box, cobwebs draping it like a wedding veil.
Reggie heads north to look out the window. Barring seeing nothing of interest out the window, he will follow Tilo's lead and listen at the door in the center of the north wall before opening it.

Artus while resting, he will sit down and place his axe in front of him, and say a small prayer over it.
Upon waking up, Artus again will say a prayer over his axe, and proceeds to stretch and meditate. He seems very relaxed and composed.
