Reggie looks at Nyanka's hand on his arm for a second and then looks into her eyes. "Tell me another story. Your voice ..." He gives her a weak smile. "It's very soothing."
Reggie looks at Nyanka's hand on his arm for a second and then looks into her eyes. "Tell me another story. Your voice ..." He gives her a weak smile. "It's very soothing."
Nyanka pats Reggies arm. "It's not my voice that's soothing Reggie, I think it is the strong dwarven spirits you're drinking."
Nyanka laughs. "Eat some boar, feel better. Madame Eva will not be pleased if you are not all there when she speaks to you."
Andrei accepts the flagon gratefully, taking a small drink before replying.
"I'm Andrei. We (he gestures at himself, Tilo and the others) my companions joined forces, so to speak, to stop a necromancer."
He chuckles slightly, raising his hand to scratch his scarred cheek before remembering himself.
"We thought we'd done something great. I doubt this Strahd thought so, but he brought us here anyways."
Andrei lowers his voice.
"Are there ways out of...uh, Barovia, that we could take?"
"Sure there are ways out of Barovia. if you are Vistani, but you are not friend Andrei. But I'm sure there is a way if you look hard enough." The man eats some boar and takes a pull of wine from a flagon he has.
"A Necromancer, sounds like you and your compatriots are badass. maybe that's what caused Strahd to notice you and bring you here. being noticed is probably not a good thing if you wish to remain unseen and left alone. I fear that you might not have any freedoms left since you were brought here. You are probably being watched now as we speak."
"Well unfortunately for Strahd, he brought the wrong group of adventures into his playground this time. He might not realize it yet, but he will in good time."
Lando takes a sip of wine and eats some boar.
"I had to pleasure of speaking with Alenka and her sisters earlier at Blood of the Vine. She mentioned Madame Eva could offer some insight on how we might find our way back home. That is why we are here"
(Instead of the knife in her hand it is a flagon of wine)
Vasha takes a sip of her to drink before speaking in a low voice. "A mighty wizard came to this land over a year ago. I remember him like it was yesterday. He stood exactly where you’re standing. A very charismatic man, he was. He thought he could rally the people of Barovia against the devil Strahd. He stirred them with thoughts of revolt and bore them to the castle en masse. When the vampire appeared, the wizard’s peasant army fled in terror. A few stood their ground and were never seen again. The wizard and the vampire cast spells at each other. Their battle flew from the courtyards of Ravenloft to a precipice overlooking the falls. I saw the battle with my own eyes. Thunder shook the mountainside, and great rocks tumbled down upon the wizard, yet by his magic he survived. Lightning from the heavens struck the wizard, and again he stood his ground. But when the devil Strahd fell upon him, the wizard’s magic couldn’t save him. I saw him thrown a thousand feet to his death. I climbed down to the river to search for the wizard’s body, to see if, you know, he had anything of value, but the River Ivlis had already spirited him away.”
As Vasha finishes her tale the flap of the larger tent opens. Vasha looks around the group. "It seems madame Eva will see you now. Please, go see her."
Magic flames cast a reddish glow over the interior of this tent, revealing a low table covered in a black velvet cloth. Glints of light seem to flash from a crystal ball on the table as a hunched figure peers into its depths. As the crone speaks, her voice crackles like dry weeds. “At last you have arrived!” Cackling laughter bursts like mad lightning from her withered lips.
As Reggie walks through the tent flap Madam Eva smiles "Reggie Tracewind, Garamond Doost sends his regards and he doesn't blame you for what happened."
The old crone cackles as Artus walks in. "Artus Stonehorn, The villagers that attacked your tribe didn't know any better, and I hear you play a mean Viol."
Andrei walks in and Eva cackles once again. "I see the great Ghost hunter Andrei Vasly has graced my presence. I thank you. You know that spirit summoning wizard that slaughtered your village? He is now dead. I thought you would like to know"
"Tilo Riverthorn, one of the touched. Tough times are coming your way very soon Tilo. Take care." madam Eva says.
"And last but not least Lando Coldleaf. I hear you do not run away from evil but evil runs from you." Madam Eva chuckles. "We shall see friend Lando, we shall see."
Reggie doesn't take his eyes off the woman as he enters and she speaks to him until Artus moves in behind him, gently nudging the human to make room. As she speaks to Artus, Reggie looks at the minotaur with concern. As the other three are spoken to in turn, Reggie looks back and forth between them and the woman, his face slowly changing from concern to anger.
Artus huffs in astonishment. That is not information he readily gives out. He gets a little teary eyed as the memories flood back in for a minute. He recollects himself. "I do play a mean Viol, I will share later when we enjoy some more drinks by the fire."
He finds a seat in the tent, a little too small for a minotaur of his size and looks at Madam Eva, "What else can you tell us?"

Lando stands there before her. "So Madame Eva, how does this work exactly?"
As you all gather around in her tent the torches begin to flutter as if a strong wind was trying to blow them out but there is no wind within the tent.
"I know you came to the Vistani for our help and to have your fortunes read. You think I hold the answers to your questions but I am afraid you will have more questions when I am done with you."
Madam Eva produces a worn deck of tarokka cards and shuffles them for a moment before placing them in front of the group to cut. "You came for answers Lando, you can do the honors."
Madam Eva waits for Lando to cut the deck before placing five cards on the table in a T formation.
"The first three cards are items you will need to find if you ever wish to escape. The fourth card is an ally you must seek in your help to defeat your enemy and the last card will tell you where the final confrontation will take place."
This first card tells of history. Knowledge of the ancient will help you better understand your enemy.
She flips over the first card. "The Six of stars- The Evoker"
" The Evoker tells us that you need to Search for the crypt of a wizard ordinaire. His staff is the key. "
This next card tells of a powerful force for good and protection, a holy symbol of great hope.
She then flips over the card that is on top of the T. "The Seven of Stars- The Illusionist"
"The Illusionist shows A man is not what he seems. He comes here in a carnival wagon. Therein lies what you seek."
This third card is one of power and strength. It tells of a weapon of vengeance: a sword of sunlight.
She flips the card on the right of the T formation "The Three of Swords, The Soldier"
"Go to the mountains. Climb the white tower guarded by golden knights."
This next card sheds light on one who will help you greatly in the battle against darkness.
She flips the card on the bottom of the T formation. "The King of Coins-The Broken One"
"Your greatest ally will be a wizard. His mind is broken, but his spells are strong."
Your enemy is a creature of darkness, whose powers are beyond mortality. This card will lead you to him!
She flips over the last card that was placed in the middle of the T formation.
"it is the King of Swords-The Darklord"
"He lurks in the depths of darkness, in the one place to which he must return."
Once she is done with the last card she looks at the group and begins to cackle.
"So, to stop this Strahd we'll need to get past 'golden knights' to find some glowy sun sword, delve into the 'depths of darkness,' go to the carnival, and make friends with some insane wizard?"
He chuckles bitterly, glancing at the others.
"Guess we'll be playing a stranger game than we thought."
"'Game,' indeed," Reggie grumbles. He palms the curve of his skull above his ear with one hand. "I don't want to play games," he says, moving the hand to the neck of his shirt, the fingers curling underneath in a tight grip. "I just ... want ... to leave." His other hand has found the hilt of the moon-touched sword as if preparing to draw.

"If you want those Headaches to go away then don't let him in Reggie, He can't hurt you here in Barovia. The Baron can protect you from him. This is Strahd's domain, no one can enter without his permission. You are safe here. As for leaving I gave you all the answers you need to leave Barovia."
"So...where do we go from here?"
Eva shrugs. "That's for you to figure out."
He looks to Reggie slightly concerned "We really need to get that headache of yours looked at"
Madam Eva pulls out a small vial of a purplish/black liquid and puts it on the table."If the headaches get too much to handle take a drop of this in your drink. It should make the headaches go away for a bit. But be warned. Do NOT take it all at once. There would be dire consequences."
Andrei curses quietly.

Madam Eva cackles. "Yes, yes you will. Welcome to Barovia Andrei."
Reggie stands, takes the vial a little more brusquely than is polite, turns, and walks out of the tent. As he goes, he grumbles under his breath, "Headaches. That's what she offers me a cure for." He ignores the faces turning to look at him as he exits and heads off to a more private area to take a piss.
