Lozak has a second, a second he uses well, to put on the necklace before the hippo shoves him rudely on its way out of the room. He stumbles, then looks at the hippo before following after the others.
"Well sir, you didn't have to be so rude." He said over his shoulder to the hippo as he went. One hand was on Axe. The other was fingering the crocodile tooth necklace as he approached the door. He looks at Violet for a second and grins. "You're alright little lady. Come over here and be my arm candy as we prepare to burn this ***** to the ground."
Violet giggles at Lozak's attempt to woo her... she steps over and wraps an arm around his.
"Well... if you insist, who am I to refuse?" the eleven-eyed aberration says with a grin that shows off a mouth full of sharp teeth. "Lead the way, my Prince."

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
As the door itself has been bust apart by the burned wood, the fire moves on to the adjacent walls and ceiling, the smoke starting to fill the waiting room and the corridor beyond the burnt door. All characters need to make a CON save.
Ashtar and Nekane step through the burning door jamb, taking 4 fire damage each.
Beyond the burning door, the fire genasi and tiefling (so obviously that fire damage is halved for the two of you XD) they walk into an empty, dark corridor, no lights illuminating the space. There are also no circus decorations in the area as this is obviously a back of the house location.
There are four doors on both the north and south sides of the corridor with a ninth door at the end. Those who have dark vision can also see that a corridor t's into this one halfway down the north side. It is quiet, other than the crackling of flames.
"Oooh, ouch," Nekane leaps through the door, brushing off the flames that caught on his clothes. Looking back through he give Pan a look as if to say, 'see! NOT fireproof!' then looks back inside to see what there is to find. "Looks like we have a few paths to choose from. Any preference Ash?"
Ashtar brushes the flames from his cloths seemingly unfazed, even though you can smell the sent of singed flesh on him. The genasi examines the hallway before answering Nekane, "Not yet!" He says in his usual loud voice, then he starts walking towards the line of doors, examining each one for any kind of plague or writing on them before peaking down the hallway.
"Lozak... you wouldn't happen to know any spells that would put out the raging inferno that our friends just walked through, would you?" the beholderkin asks.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Pan watches the flames with a greed for chaos flinging in his eyes, his teeth grit into a smile and he watches the door fall apart and the ceiling catch. "C'mon everyone, the backrooms is where all the fun happens, d'ya reckon this jack fella needs to know wha's goin' on in all corners o' this little dimension? If so I reckon we gotta find ourselv's his scryin' room!" He rubs his grubby hands together and walks through the door to follow Ash and Nekane.
Lozak pulls Violet a little closer as he grins at the fire and listens to Pan. Slowly he takes aim and begins to blow a gust of wind across the flames, blowing them out.
"Easy breezy." He quips as they saunter through the door. "Now what's this you say, Pan? Ol' Happy Jack, yes? Scrying? Well, if he didn't know we were here before we started setting things on fire, he certainly does now. Onward!"
Once the fire is put out, the group find themselves together in the empty corridor.
Ash heads down looking at all the doors, but they are all plain wooden doors with no markings discerning one from the other. As he looks up the hallway, he sees there is another door at the end, but there are more hallways that lead off of this one to the west and the east.
Now that the fire is out, you would expect to hear someone coming from that fire, but you don't. All is silent.
Nekane shrugs, "Eh, I have a feeling he knew we were here as soon as we set foot in his... uh, humble abode." He makes a motion to encompass the entirety of the playhouse. "He could be watching us right now." He grins slightly, eyeing the walls and wondering if there is some sort of spell monitoring them right now.
"Ah well whatever, like Lozak said--Onward!" He starts walking forward, hesitating for a moment when he comes upon the first hallway. "How 'bout we just check these as we go? Or shall we just head straight to the far end?"
Ashtar walks past all the doors to the one on the East and tries it. It is unlocked. As he opens the door, he finds another corridor that is perpendicular, leading north and south. The funny thing about this corridor? It is lined with mirrors. Each wooden panel of wall holds a full sized mirror, including the door Ashtar is currently holding ajar. As he looks at his reflection, the mirror shows him as extra skinny and tall, definitely a funhouse mirror.
Ash cocks his head as at his odd reflection, but his perpetual smile doesn't change. Then he looks back at Nekanne, before closing the door and trying the one to the right of it.
Pan decides that if there's gonna be any more attempts made on the doors and traps are likely then he would rather not be a massive part of that, he tosses his thrives tools back to Nekane, "get some more practice lad!" And then pan unsurreptitiosly starts climbing up the walls and pulls his hood over his head blending into the room like some sort of small gruff chameleon
Nekane fumbles slightly when catching the thieves tools, giving Pan a surprised look which turns to suspicion shortly after. "...Okay.... Thanks."He tucks the thieves tools away, wondering what the halfling's motives are as he follows Ashtar over to the room.
"This... looks like a waste of time..." He says, glad when Ashtar decides to move on to the next room. "I'll check the other doors I guess."
He then walks back to where he started and opens the closest door that hasn't been opened yet to take a peek inside.
Pan attempts to climb up to the ceiling (give me an acrobatics check here) to hide amongst the rafters.
As Ashtar closes the door to the funhouse, he opens the door to the south and finds a supply closet sitting empty and unused, though scuff marks, shabby, banged up walls, and mysterious dried puddles or liquid trails indicate they may have once been used rather heavily.
Nekane then opens the door directly to the north of the one Ashtar did and finds a box containing 20 uncannily carved wooden, humanoid figurines sits in this closet. Though the figures are unpainted, each contains such life-like expressions and articulated limbs it’s hard to imagine they aren’t alive. Paint buckets and paintbrushes of sever al colors are stacked nearby, all in good condition.
Lozak looks up and down the corridors as they go in and spends little time wondering about what's around them. He continues to offer his arm to Violet while letting the Axe rest across his body, but his free hand is fiddling with the crocodile tooth necklace.
When they come to the wooden figures, he marvels for a moment, then looks at the paints and studies them.
"I know some things we can draw." He says with a mischievous drawl, but doesn't touch the paint yet. He just stands there for a moment, studying...thinking...one foot tapping on the floor...
He notices the puddles of liquid.
"Watch those." He says to Violet, but loud enough for everyone in the room to hear. "I've seen enough fights and parties to know that's probably something gross. Unless that's your thing then you do you."
Lozak looks at the paint and tries to sense if he thinks its magic or something. 15 Arcana check.
As soon as Nekane sees the dolls he pulls back slightly, "Eeessh, those things are... well, whatever." He shrugs and then walks over to them, "Could they be unpainted cause they were meant to be figurines for children to paint as a craft?"He watches as Lozak inspects the paint. Then he looks back through the door, "Hey Ash! What'd you find?"
Then he picks up one of the dolls and looks it over.
"they could be tha children 'emselves magically transformed into happy jack's playthings, ne'er to feel tha brush o their mothers hand against their cheek, tha only consolation they receive is knowing tha bastard is dead when we're done...." Nekane hears from an unknown source above his head, but it is unmistakably Pan's voice. "...or they might just be wooden dolls ya jackass hahaha" the voice chuckles before Nekane hears the telltale signs of pan scuttling away invisibly across the ceiling, giggling to himself.
Violet shudders at the thought that the dolls might actually be the missing children...
"If they are the children... hopefully they didn't see what happened in the other closet," she says, sounding a little bit worried. "Is anyone here able to remove curses? I assume that turning a child into a doll is a curse... or maybe it technically isn't because magic is odd like that..."
Lozak has a second, a second he uses well, to put on the necklace before the hippo shoves him rudely on its way out of the room. He stumbles, then looks at the hippo before following after the others.
