Necyra leads the group through the open door to the next room, a somewhat larger square room. Old, dusty shelves, some containing a few items, line the walls of this room. A pedestal in the middle of the room holds a leather-bound tome, and a red mass hums and pulsates in the southeast corner. There is no other door in the space.
The investigator cautiously enters the room behind Necyra, his attention drawn to the leather-bound tome on the pedestal which he carefully examines, then using his telekinesis to open it and turn pages.
Siszhu fancies himself an investigator as well and he strides into the room behind the meat shields. He sees a book, BORING! Then he sees a red, pulsing, humming mass and indubitably, he deducts, that may need to be punched... "Hey!" he calls out to the red mass, curiously. "What you?" Then, using his foot, he kicks it.
Nephvir walks in and watches as Siszhu investigates the red pulsing mass with his fist and his foot, watching to see what happens, a smile on his face.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Necyra walks up to Nephvir watching Siszhu, leans over and side hugs him, whispering in his ear “I’m damn glad that lugnut is on our team! That boy’s got two brain cells left, and they’re fighting for third place. But gods dayum, he can fight!”
Shaking her head in wonderment, she backs away and instead flutters over to the book on the pedestal in the middle of the room. Without touching it, she’ll use Mage Hand to flip though the pages, seeing what they contain.
As Siszhu heads straight for the red pulsing mass and attempts to kick at it...
He loses his balance a bit as there is a pull coming from it and poof... he disappears into the red pulsing mass.
To'Kurr leans in and feels the pull himself, but as he isn't moving, his balance is fine and he just watches helplessly as his friend is pulled through.
"Hey! HEY! HEYYYYYY!" Siszhu calls out as he feels himself sucked into the soft, squooshy embrace of he doesn't even know what and then spat out into someplace else entirely!
"Hey youse guys!" he calls out, looking around and not seeing the others. "C'mon! This isn't funny! Where are youse!!"
Siszhu looks left. Siszhu looks right. Siszhu looks up and shakes his head all about. Siszhu is lost... His chin dropping into the chest he finds himself having a moments of the sads... Then he sniffs around a little bit and starts trodding off to the left.
Myles was never worried about the massive Yuan-Ti making it through rough spots, but he feels slightly stressed seeing Siszhu suudenly disappering into the humming and pulsating red mass.
Arcana to understand something about the humming and pulsating red mass: 12
“Booooring, guys. Turns out this is just some sorta stupid cookbook or somethin’. Useless! To’Kurr could whip up something better than the swill in this book…” Necyra sighs after she closes up the book sitting on the pedestal in the center of the room.
She glances around the room to see what else is there, just in time to see Siszhu get sucked into the red blob. “Waaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiittttttt a second there, pardner, did ya’ll just see that?! What in the nine hells did Siszhu just get pulled into?!”
"It's like a hole in space, man" To'Kurr says. "Behind that red blob is a hole like the black one we saw before. Total bummer, man. We can't see into this one either."
To'Kurr takes a long puff on his pipe, blowing out a massive cloud of fragrant smoke. He then takes out a length of rope, tosses one end to Myles, grabs hold of the other end, and jumps into the middle of the blob to follow after Siszhu.
Siszhu and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Weird Glowy Blob
Yuan-ti can't whistle. At least Siszhu cannot. So after waiting a short bit to see if his friends respond to his calls he shrugs, heads off down the corridor in the "left" direction (East? West? Depends which way he is facing I guess!) and huffs out breaths to a tune only he can hear... Before he comes to the chorus, which he fully intends to sing out aloud and proud, he comes to an abrupt stop instead. He has found... a ladder.
The ladder goes up.
I got sucked into the red thing. Red thing was on floor. I must have gotten sucked downwards. Ladder goes up. Ladder will bring me back where I was. Siszhu logic to the rescue!
Myles is too caught up with trying to figure out what the humming and pulsating red mass is to catch the rope To'Kurr throws at him, seeing it disappear into the blob right after the old man himself. "Alright, maybe just stop and think now, what could this thing be?"He asks Necyra and Nephvir with a mix of worry and frustration in his voice now.
Not wanting to get too close to the pulsating blob, Necyra flutters to the opposite corner of the room from where the blob is located, and scratches her chin as she ponders the existence of the blob.
To'Kurr hears no response when he calls out for Siszhu, but the hundreds of tiny snake eyes all turn towards him. But they don't get any closer...yet.
Aware that he's still holding a dead snake in his hand, To'Kurr decides being quiet is the right approach and looks around for any way out of the snake ball room
But that doesn't appear very promising either. Looking around he deduces that he's in the NE corner of the room and along the eastern wall are five 5" diameter holes and there are two more on the south wall and the last one on the north wall. A small crack in the 30 foot tall ceiling allows the light to filter through, helping To'Kurr to better make out the mound of snakes with. The open areas of the floor are covered in crunchy snakeskins. There are no doors in the room to speak of.
To’Kurr takes out a special blend of herbs and puts it in his pipe. He inhales deeply and blows out a thick smoke. As he does, his own body and equipment turns gaseous as well. He slowly floats up, and up, and through the crack in the ceiling (Casts Gaseous Form).
The Yuan-ti peeks his out from the hatch the ladder leads him up to. All sneaky and sly his lizard eyes peek over the edge and he looks around... Bahh, been there before, Siszhu thinks to himself and climbs back down the ladder. Trudging back down the hallway (walkway? tunnel? does it matter?) he gets back to where he was. He pauses to consider kicking the red pulsating thing again but doing so made him lost... He doesn't want to be loster. With a shrug he carries on the other way. He passes another but still passes. Eventually he comes to a little room.
Siszhu walks into the little room. It's an old grandmother's room, he thinks. It certainly seems one being all tidy, neat, and clean. A picture hangs on the north wall above an antique rocking chair and a small table, which holds a few knick-knacks. The desk has several pieces of parchment paper, quill, ink, and a small yellow box, rests along the east wall. A wooden ladder, leading up, is attached to the southern wall and a small tunnel leads to the north. Definite Granny vibes... Siszhu sniffs the air (perception 17) and yep, definitely smells grandmotherly!
Siszhu spends a moment to look at the picture... He then goes to the knick-knacks and just shovels them into his backpack. I should take the paper too, he thinks. Myles may want to read the paper... But Siszhu shrugs. He just won't tell Myles about the paper!
Meanwhile....all three of the stragglers are just standing there in the room with the pulsating blob, staring at it in disbelief. "Where the heck did those guys run off to? And...should we go lookin' for 'em, or are they on their own?" she casually mentions, almost off-hand, to Myles and Neph.

To'Kurr brings the twine and dead snake with him for now, and follows after Necyra.
Nephvir sheaths his swords and walks after Necyra and To’Kurr, ready to investigate the next room.
