Katerielle will look over the cliff side to see what the bugbear were doing down there.

Leek will gather the bodies, slit their throats and bleed them out.  

The blue creature is quite dead, made absolutely certain by Leek who slits the throat to bleed out the corpse.  Katerielle looks down into the crevasse and can easily determine the bugbears were digging and moving piles of rubble that tumbled down a long time ago.

((Does it look like they were trying to tunnel east to get around the skull or that they were searching similar to an archaeological artifact hunt?))

"I wonder what they were looking for?"

Elila pokes around to discover what they were looking for. 15

Elila spends an hour shifting rubble back and forth, poking around but doesn't see anything of interest.  Although it is evident there is a lot of rubble that would have to be moved to search thoroughly.

(Group perception check. One more person can roll for the first hour.  Each pair of rolls afterwards is another hour.)

Katerielle searches over the area as a trained Archaeologist (Background) using her elven perception 17 to help discover  anything hidden.

(Will give advantage for the Archeologist background.  24)

It takes an hour, but Katerielle's instincts hones in on the crushed corpse of a dwarf, long buried under the rubble.  The armor the dwarf was wearing has been flattened or severely crushed, except a pair of exquisite gloves, which remain whole and pristine. 

(Hint, they're magical).

Katerielle will speak up," the armor on this dwarf is trashed but the gauntlet are not. Can anyone check them for magic?" Then she checks them for any arcane markings that would indicate what they are.

 Katerielle's knowledge of arcane armor falls short, however she has heard among archaeologists about gauntlets that bear this resemblance.  She is pretty sure these are gauntlets of ogre power.

Katerielle will inform the others of her thoughts. "I'm not sure, but these could be gauntlets of Ogre power. Who could get the most use out of them?"

Katerielle will take the guantlets and hand them to Elila. "If you ever get to the point that your just as strong  without them as with them we can give them to Rindelk so he can carry his own books." Katerielle will say with a smile.

Elila will accept the gloves and put them on. She admires the fine craftsmanship with a smile.

If there is nothing else down here, which way are our options? Is W 5 and W 12 an exit?

It would be necessary to climb to get into the passages at W5 and W12, but yes, they go on.

"I think maybe we can use the ropes and go that way," Elila points.

Katerielle thinks for a moment, then shakes her head no. " No, that's probably the old waterway leading to where the skull is." She states pointing to W12. "Let's not tangle with that unless we have no other choice and definitely after we clear the rest of this place." Turning to point at W4-5, "Now that way might allow us to go around the skull room hopefully to a vault or storage room, which is what I'm sure the shapeshifters are looking for."

Elila shrugs, she's fine with that, and follows Katerielle's lead.
