Mei's eyes cloud white and unseeing as, again, the past, present, and future take hold. She feels the tug of infinite threads as the future spreads out before her like an intricate web and, in her mind's eye, she strums a single strand. It snaps and her vision returns just as she looses a streak of lavender light that hits the mephit point blank. The light bursts into tiny arcane butterflies that swarm around it, making it an easier target.

Peeking in to watch the absolute mayhem that breaks loose in the kitchen, the purple-skinned tiefling's frustration grows. "TAKE COVER!!!" He calls out again to the others, then placing his hex on the closest steamy impish creature before blasting it with a purple beam of eldritch crackling force.
Mae yelps in pain as the steamy creature lashes at her. "Ah! First frogs, now the kitchen is attacking!? That hurt!" Mae whips out a dagger from under her clothes and takes a quick stab at the mephit (3).

ROUND 2
Meisends a streak of light at Steam Mephit 4, damaging it and causing it to glow slightly
Malvynputs his hex on Steam Mephit 5 then strikes it with his beam of eldritch force. The creature then explodes in a burst of steam. (Guardok, Knap, and Maemake a DEX Save DC 10 or take 3 fire damage, half as much on a success)
Maemakes a quick stab with her dagger and hits Steam Mephit 3.
Steam Mephit 4 stares at Meiwith anger as her spell strikes him. Everyone notices its form starts to become blurry and hard to see. (Blur - attacks are at Disadvantage, but the next attack would be standard due to Mei'sspell)
(Guardokis now up! Knap'sturn would be right after.)
Guardok tries to dodge yet another exploding mephit as Malvyn obliterates the next in line, but he is a little surprised at its destruction from an attack outside the room.
Steam Mephit 3 seems to shrug off Guardok'smocking words but Knap'swhispers seem to affect it. It immediately flies away, moving across the room and along the back wall.
Pierofocuses in on Steam Mephit 3 as he casts Mind Sliver. (INT Save DC 14 - 14 or take 5 psychic damage)
Piero'sattack on Steam Mephit 3 appears to work. It vanishes in a cloud of steam.
Across the room from you all, you can see your friends working to keep the swarms of bugs at bay. Aurora uses necrotic magic to cause the numbers to dwindle. Cadoras is using small blasts of force energy against them, while Rubina seems to use a variety of spells to keep them contained. Mina Lee appears to throw darts of inky blackness at them. And Lesviel has created a fiery sphere that is moving through the swarms, both killing them and keeping many of them contained. They seem to be holding up fine.
ROUND 3
(Mei, Malvyn, then Maeare now up. Only Steam Mephit 4 remains.)
Out of the corner of her eye, the well-oiled machine of pest exterminators that are their friends has her wholly impressed. If not for the danger, she might stop to fawn over how they each use their magic and abilities. But Mei looks between the blurry imp and the halfling cowered on the floor, knowing if it dies here it'll hurt her too.
She glares at the creature and rolls up her sleeves, toes digging into the ground before she launches herself forward, grabbing at whatever she can of the nasty thing. Perhaps this isn't what Guardok meant by "hold on, Mei," but she holds on nonetheless!
"I've got it," she says to the others as she tries to drag it a safe distance away. Having heard Guardok speaking primordial to them, she offers, "Talk to it or burst it, please!"
((Round 3 Action: Grapple Mephit 4. Athletics check: 6 + 3 (extracurriculars die) + 6 (bardic inspo) 15. Reaction: Silvery Barbs if the mephit outrolls her. If successful, she'll give Guardok adv on his next roll (in case he can persuade it to talk) Movement: Drags the creature to a distance where the steam won't hurt anyone. Two squares to the right maybe?))
(OOC - The Silvery Barbs was not necessary. However, I think this is Shoving, which basically works the same as Grappling with a different result. You can only move it 5 ft away from you. You stay put from this action, but still have your movement. But you wouldn't have any more shoves. You can decide if you want to stick to this or try something different.)

"What are you doing!?" Mae looked very concerned as Mei carried the monster off. "Maybe it just needs to cool off!"And with that she whisked out her hand drum and clapped it with the palm of her hand, uttering a word in celestial and a frosty star appeared and shot at the mephit.
