Kira quietly beckons to Meito join her but otherwise focuses on the sunrise and stays quiet.
Guardok goes through his morning routine. As he runs a bit and makes his way back to where he had seen the statue last evening, he sees nothing there. After a pause, he continues on until he reaches another spot with a glimpse into the distant mountains. Now he sees the same humongous statue again, definitely further north than it had been before. He cannot see the legs, but just shoulders and the strange head. It must be in some sort of valley, the ridge concealing the rest of its form. It's hard to judge distances, but it doesn't really seem closer of farther than it had been. Just in a different spot.
Guardok's report piques the interest of the purple-skinned tiefling. "That is interesting, perhaps it animated and moved during the night, I will definitely have to do some research into that when I get back to the Biblioplex." He says with some excitement in his voice and his fiery-red eyes. "Ehm, we should of course focus on the matters at hand first." He adds quickly looking at Kira and Mei as he gathers up his gear, then ready to leave for the grotto.
Kira nods. "Yes, let's get on our way. It's not far away. We ought to get there in about an hour, I think." She has all of her things packed and looks ready to get going, but she looks to the others to make sure they haven't forgotten anything and are ready before she actually moves on.
Once back on the trail, you notice that it does seem a bit more of an incline than the rest of your journey. The night had brought a bit of chill to the air, but already the sunlight is warming it back up to a more tolerable level. It doesn't take long at all before Kira is scouting ahead a bit, waving you all to come along. It seems you have just about reached the destination, and she is getting a bit more excited.
Guardok glides along after Kira, never too far away from her even when she scouts ahead, but often looking back to make sure Mei and Mal are coping ok.
When it is seems they have pretty much arrived, he becomes more careful, keeping an eye out around them not knowing what to expect.
Although not the most athletic, Malvyn seems to be doing okay-ish, so far, giving Guardok a small smile and a thumbs up to reassure his friend he was still with them, ready now to head into the unknown.

When Guardok finally returns from his run, catches his breath before reporting back.
”Possibly not a statue. Unless of course something mighty strong moved it. It was not in the same place this morning”.

Malvyn too is getting more excited, feeling almost like an adventurer from the novels he occasionally reads.
