Kira quietly beckons to Meito join her but otherwise focuses on the sunrise and stays quiet.
Guardok goes through his morning routine. As he runs a bit and makes his way back to where he had seen the statue last evening, he sees nothing there. After a pause, he continues on until he reaches another spot with a glimpse into the distant mountains. Now he sees the same humongous statue again, definitely further north than it had been before. He cannot see the legs, but just shoulders and the strange head. It must be in some sort of valley, the ridge concealing the rest of its form. It's hard to judge distances, but it doesn't really seem closer of farther than it had been. Just in a different spot.
Guardok's report piques the interest of the purple-skinned tiefling. "That is interesting, perhaps it animated and moved during the night, I will definitely have to do some research into that when I get back to the Biblioplex." He says with some excitement in his voice and his fiery-red eyes. "Ehm, we should of course focus on the matters at hand first." He adds quickly looking at Kira and Mei as he gathers up his gear, then ready to leave for the grotto.
Kira nods. "Yes, let's get on our way. It's not far away. We ought to get there in about an hour, I think." She has all of her things packed and looks ready to get going, but she looks to the others to make sure they haven't forgotten anything and are ready before she actually moves on.
Once back on the trail, you notice that it does seem a bit more of an incline than the rest of your journey. The night had brought a bit of chill to the air, but already the sunlight is warming it back up to a more tolerable level. It doesn't take long at all before Kira is scouting ahead a bit, waving you all to come along. It seems you have just about reached the destination, and she is getting a bit more excited.
Guardok glides along after Kira, never too far away from her even when she scouts ahead, but often looking back to make sure Mei and Mal are coping ok.
When it is seems they have pretty much arrived, he becomes more careful, keeping an eye out around them not knowing what to expect.
Although not the most athletic, Malvyn seems to be doing okay-ish, so far, giving Guardok a small smile and a thumbs up to reassure his friend he was still with them, ready now to head into the unknown.
Kira makes a turn around a bend to where the steep path levels out into a larger patch of level ground. To the right the ground slopes away sharply, giving a view of a steep canyon. Far to your left, the ground rises sharply again and becomes far rockier. And several hundred feet ahead, the path wraps around to the right out of sight, looking like it starts to ascend a more steeply again.
Looking towards the rocky cliff wall about the rise, Kira starts calling out loudly. "No! No, no no..." She is clearly distraught. As you look, you can see a number of large boulders and vast amounts of loose rocky debris. "This can't be!" She rushes across the flat ground, starting to head up the slope to the rocks.
Guardok was right there behind Kira, seeing what she saw. Malvynand Meiwere not far behind.
Guardok stands and watches Kira for a moment, seeing her distress, then turns back to Mei and Mal.
"I think there has been a rockfall", he says quietly. "I am not sure if the path is blocked or the cave that we have been looking for", he adds, and then slowly moves forward towards Kira to see if he can help.
He moves forward trying to see where Kira is looking, and whether it is the path or the rock wall she is concerned about.
Coming up the path together with Mei, the purple-skinned tiefling gives their distraught guide a concerned look with his fiery red eyes. He knew nothing about clearing a rockfall, couldn't even recall ever reading about it but he suspected it would be quite a task clearing enough to get inside the grotto now. His friends had proven to be quite resourceful though so he waits in silence to see if anyone comes up with any ideas on how to proceed. The climb had been steep and he didn't mind catching his breath as Kira examined the rockfall.
As you watch Kira, she seems distressed. Without much regard for safety, she climbs up some of the rocks. Her actions cause many of the smaller loose stones to slide down the hill. Some of the larger ones are starting to look unstable.
She yells back towards the rest of you, "The cave entrance is buried! Come quick! We have to get in!"
"Are you sure it is safe?"Malvyn calls out with a worried tone, looking between Guardok and Mei, hoping they would know more. "I'm sure Disyn wouldn't want us to be buried under a lot of rocks."
Kira doesn't seem to pay any heed to Malvyn's questions. She continues to try to scrabble up amongst the rocks even as more and more start to shift. "Come on! Maybe there's a way in! The cave can't be gone!"
"Kira, wait", Guardok calls out. "Your scrambling is dislodging the stones and could make things worse. I should be able to explore more easily if you let me, but until you come down I wouldn't feel safe".
If she listens, he will make use of his diminutive size and light weight, along with his agility and innate ability to earth walk to investigate the rock fall for a way through.
The purple-skinned tiefling hesitates, looking between the pile of rocks and Mei, not sure what to do, hoping Kira and Guardok would be safe. "I undarstand you want to help Disyn but go slow and be careful or you won't even reach her."He calls out to Kira in an insisiting tone.

When Guardok finally returns from his run, catches his breath before reporting back.
”Possibly not a statue. Unless of course something mighty strong moved it. It was not in the same place this morning”.

Malvyn too is getting more excited, feeling almost like an adventurer from the novels he occasionally reads.
