"Oop!" Aspenwould hum, then chuckle softly when Arinchu would almost run into her from hanging around a bit close. Her dimpled smile comes to rest on her face when she'd launch into chatter, ears tilting as she'd listen. "I think that's a wise, thoughtful practice." She admires the process of journaling.
"Of course, I'd be happy to." Aspenrocks once on the balls of her feet. "Let's see..." She'd fish around in her pocket. It's not uncommon for her to have an emergency bobby pin or elastic. Fingers find, and free a pin from her pocket. "Here we go..." Aspen's voice trailed off as she'd reach to run her nails to comb a little of Arinchu's bangs and some hair to the side so she could secure the flower by her ear with the pin. Her eyes would trace over it, then her face. "Purfect." She smiles meeting her gaze, and her tail sways.
"Oh!" Prrt. "Thank you." Aspen couldn't catch herself before she'd sway a little to Arinchu's compliment of her outfit. "I really hoped I picked something that might complement yours." She says as she reaches for her hand to raise it, and encourage Arinchu to spin so she can see a preview of it in motion. "The colour gradient is beautiful, clever." She remembers her earlier share about dancing with the elements. "You're fire." She winks playfully to her own pun, and her smile eases back to genuine warmth. "The fit is lovely." Aspenwould then come to rest her hand in her crooked arm to escort her. "Shall we?" Her head tilts a bit as she says this, tail giving a light flick.
Arinchu seems pleased when Aspenoffers to put the orange flower in her hair. She freezes a bit though as nails comb through her hair a bit, a blush coming to her cheeks which only deepens at the word 'Purfect' and as her eyes meet her own. "It... is amazing how well the color matches my outfit," she says quietly.
Her smile broadened when the cat-eared woman swayed to her compliment about the outfit. And then she didn't hesitate at all to make a graceful spin when encouraged to do so. Her blouse is loose fitting, but not excessively so. It gives only a slight billow as she spins. She laughs lightly at the 'fire' comment, but then says, "I suppose that is the thought behind the look. I hope to be more adept at the elements in the future. For now... it's... well, just a look."
Arinchu's eyes briefly glance to how Aspenhad placed her hand at the crook of her arm. She quickly looks up at her though, giving a nod. "Yes, let's go." The Half-Orc seems relaxed at her side, though seems to carefully keep just her hand in place, neither moving closer nor moving away. "We should still have plenty of time to get there and grab a bite before Aurora's performance, I think. I hope we'll be able to find a seat."
Back at the Bow's End, the first performers of the evening have taken the stage. It is a pair of halfling women, one singing, the other playing a lute. Their music has a rather simple melody and accompaniment, the songs telling a story of various folk tales. While not riveting, it is a very nice background music for those gathered. The place is still not completely full, but a large percentage of the tables are starting to get filled in.
After Naevyn's crazy dance, which nobody other than Cadoras seemed willing to join, the group had settled back in to indulge in some snacks and a few drinks. The Elf says hello to Malvynand Aurora. "How is Mei doing? I've not seen her for a bit. She's well?" he asks. Once the demonstration of the hurdy gurdy is concluded, she returns the instruments to its case and sits back down next to Malvyn. A bit later, Rubina comes in, saying hello to Aurora and joins the group.
Chierhy finds the others at their new table. The Wagaduan finds a spot near Myala, whether an empty seat or standing over her shoulder, and gets her attention, announcing her return to her and the others. “Arinchu was at the Hall, and she and Aspen will be along soon. Ah, I see snacks and drinks. How does one… order? While I’m standing shall I get someone’s attention?”Her stomach rumbles a bit, which she’s used to ignoring, but why force the issue? Tonight of all nights, her first at Strixhaven, deserves to be celebrated.
“Oh, hello,”she says to Malvyn’s companion. “You must be Aurora?” This being a tavern rather than an edifice, she offers, “I am Chierhy,”with a slight tilting of her head, a whisper of a curtsy rather than the complete formal greeting she had employed earlier in the day.
When the halflings begin their performance, Chierhy falls silent, whether standing or sitting. A style of music she has never heard before, and this leads Chierhy to wonder what Aurora’s music will sound like.
As the Wagaduan falls into conversation with those at the table, she studies Aurora’s features carefully. Though if she is caught staring, she smiles and shifts her gaze away so as not to seem fixated.
When Rubina arrives, Chierhy offers a greeting similar to that she had given Aurora, or, if Rubina is too far away, waits to be introduced.
