"Ah yes...all good..." The purple-skinned Tiefling says, although now checking himself quickly to confirm he was indeed okay after the quite tumultuous incident. "...I never really was in any danger there I think, thanks though." He says with a small smile, briefly taking the raven-haired performer's hand to give it a soft squeeze. "I should probably cover this for the Star now but maybe we can meet up later?" 

“I’m with you on checking out where the frogs were found.” Knap, looking noticibly hurt but stoic, says to Guardok. 

“messing with with dress up chests is forgivable, but messing with frogs…someone has just made themselves an enemy.” 

Mei stands and gently cradles Azure in her hands as she nods. "Me too. O-On both accounts," she says of checking the location and being made an enemy. 

Mei looks sadly at the remains as they wait for Cadoras and Rosie, contemplating finding a small box to put them in. 

Elina responds to Mei, "I couldn't imagine a student doing such a thing!"  She seems surprised at the suggestion. "Surely some random unusual creature finding its way to campus," she says. Although she had asked if everyone was alright, she does happen to notice Knap seems like he might have been hurt. She steps towards the Satyr, "I do have a healing potion over at the barista station. I can get it for you if you need it."  

Aurora raises a brow. "Mal! Putting your writing ahead of me?" she teases. "No, of course that's fine. I was supposed to be at the Bow's End later. You'll meet me to walk me over?"  She put a hand on Malvyn's shoulder. "You once again did a great thing in reacting to those frogs."  She kisses his cheek and then is quickly out the door. 

Rosie and Cadoras both agree to show Guardok where the frogs were found. They say it is not far from the cafe and of course Knap is welcomed to tag along as well. The two just pause long enough to see if anyone else wishes to come along. 

Piero had been walking around the lounge looking about. "Hey!" he calls out to the others. "What do you suppose these odd stains are all about?" 

At the mention of his wounds Knap winces as the adrenaline wares off. 

“Would you mind?” He says thankful for the hospitality. “Don’t worry, we’ll check out where the hoppers come from and why they turned real savage. You don’t want another frog uprising…trust me.” 

The purple-skinned Tiefling blushes faintly as Aurora kisses his cheek, pleasantly surprised it seems, quickly looking around to see who might have seen, then giving the raven-haired performer a quick affectionate smile. "Yes...yes I'll come by to pick you up later." He says quickly, giving Aurora a quick wave as she leaves before turning his attention to his floor mates.

He is about to follow the others where Rosie and Cadoras is taking them as Piero mentions some odd stains. Malvyn quickly walks over to the less than social floor mate and starts to examine what he has found.

Investigation: 13

Guardok waits for Rosie and Cadoras to be ready to leave, and then follows them outside to where they found the frogs.

As Malvyn comes over, Piero points to some stains on the floor.  The Tiefling looks and sees a not so pleasant sight. It seems to be a mix of mucus and bits of insect wings and legs that must not have been digested. "It must be what was belched out by one of the frogs when it started growing." Amongst it, Malvyn sees what seems to be a black oily substance. 

Meanwhile, Elina rushes back to the barista station and comes back with a potion of healing. She hands it to Knap to drink. (8 hp restored) By the time that is accomplished, Cadoras and Rosie are ready to head out with Guardok, Knap, and Mei. (And perhaps Malvyn depending on what he decides to do with his finding.) 

Guardok is getting a little impatient by the time Miss Tanglewood has returned with the healing potion for Knap.

"You coming Mal? What about you, Piero? Whatever happened to the frogs, it must have been done before they were brought inside", he calls over.

Knap downs the restorative drop and determination returns to his eyes. 

"Yes, well there is some more of that black goo over here." Malvyn answers Guardok, motioning to the floor. "I need to get a sample for professor Sharpbeak." He adds, quickly looking around for anything that could serve as a container to store a sample of the black goo.

Perception if needed: 20

Piero looks at Guardok for a long moment after he asked about joining them. "I suppose I might."  He sounds reluctant. "We might want to take care of this here first," he adds.  

Malvyn looks about and notes a number of drink glasses lying around - both broken and intact.  All of them here though seem to have residues of some sort of drink.  Perhaps something clean could be fetched from the barista station. Or perhaps Elina could fetch something if asked.  There is the flask of healing potion that Knap just drank. Perhaps it could be quickly cleaned out?  It doesn't seem particularly dirty. 

Malvyn asks for the empty flask that Knap used and quickly cleans it out before collecting a sample of the oily black substance.
He is then ready to follow along with the others. "I want to bring this to Professor Sharpbeak, but it can wait." He says to the others with a quick smile.

(Prestidigitation)

"Great. I guess it's good to be sure, but it seems to me like too much of a coincidence for it to be something different. I am far more interested in finding clues as to who did it now", Guardok says to Mal with a returned smile. He did seem to be enjoying himself.

Getting serious for a moment, "So far no one has been seriously hurt, but I suspect the one responsible will not be happy. They are likely to try again with something more dangerous".

That ominous thought sends a shiver down her spine as she watches Malvyn stopper the goo bottle.

Malvyn can easily clean the potion vial.  He manages to get a sample, though it's not perfect.  You can tell there are bits of lots of other stuff mixed in, but you tried to get the best sample you could.  Seeing him have accomplished that, Piero asks, "So what do you suppose the Professor will do with that?"  

"I hope that she will analyze it to determine it's properties and if it could somehow have caused this." The purple-skinned Tiefling responds, motioning to the scene of the battle. "Perhaps she can also figure out who could have created it." He adds to Guardok, then ready to come along to look for more clues.

Insight on Piero: 13

Piero seems to give a slight nod at Malvyn's response. "Well, I suppose we should check out this origin of the corrupted frogs."  He nods to Cadoras and Rosie to go ahead. 

He, along with the others, follow him outside. It's not even a minute's walk to an area just off one of the paths that has quite a bit of vegetation.  It looks like there is a small pond just beyond rows of plants. "This was the general area we first spotted the frogs. I mean, how could you miss them, they were so brightly colored," Rosie says. 

Guardok follows Cadoras and Rosie, surveying the small pond when they reach it.

"Ok, I guess we fan out and search the area, looking for clues", he suggests. "Not that I am particularly certain what those clues might be".

With that said, he starts to slowly and carefully wander in one direction around the pond, looking intently at the ground to see if perhaps something has been dropped or he spots an unusual footprint perhaps.

Investigation: 2+1=3 (Passive 11)

Knap nods at Guardok and takes the opposite direction. He meanders and zig zags and pauses to smell the flowers and mud. He’s thinking about his walks with Mei, what he knows about campus grounds maintenance, ‘what shouldn’t be here, hmmm’
