Quinn stands above the fallen wizard and listens as the group laments his death. This stoic and calloused ranger has lost much in his time and their regret does not move him one inch. His mind drifts to his village deep in the Neverwinter Wood and he briefly considers abandoning ship and returning to a simpler life. He retired to the woods for a reason, and he feel's as if he's being pulled back into a life that he'd rather not revisit.
He stands staring blankly through the body of the fallen wizard and addresses no one in particular.
"If you have the means and desire to save this rat, feel free."

Kimberley kept watch for the small fiend, reminding herself she needed to go through the wizards correspondence and offer a ritual sacrifice to Selune for her companions deliverence and their enemies defeat.
“Syzygy…did this man share with you his true name?”
"He did not. Glasstaff is all I got...men with obvious monikers tend to have tragic backstories. I didn't wish to pry. Zeond is the name of his minion."
Syzygy puts his hand on Jurgen's shoulder as he tends to the wizards wounds. "Thank you."
Bryony checks on Glasstaff. He is bleeding badly from his neck wound, and fading rapidly. Going through his pockets, she finds five gold coins, a shopping list of workshop supplies for an apothecary or alchemy shop, and a letter rolled up and sealed with a wax symbol in the shape of a spider.
He also carries his ornate glass staff, but Kimberley kicks it away.
His little demon is nowhere to be seen.
Jurgen binds the wizards wounds, as well as his limbs. (Jurgen: Make a Medicine check to stabilize him, if that's your intent.)
“Not so fast. He’s unconscious and he can’t run off now, so there’s no need to turn him in just yet. I say way take him to Sildar. I have a hunch this wizard might be connected to Larno Albrek somehow.
I mean, what are the chances of two wizards stumbling about a ruined manor full of Redbrands and all sorts of horrors and neither bump into each other. Not likely.”
Quinn lifts the wizard over his shoulder and looks to the group.
“Shall we get movin? Someone, take his staff.”

Breaking the seal on the rolled-up letter (sealed with a wax symbol in the shape of a spider), Bryony reads its contents out loud:
Lord Albrek,
My spies in Neverwinter tell me that strangers are due to arrive in Phandalin. They could be working for the dwarves. Capture them if you can, kill them if you must, but don’t allow them to upset our plans. See that any dwarven maps in their possession are delivered to me with haste.
Bryony nods her head. "I suddenly feel a lot less guilty for shooting him," she says. "We should definitely keep him restrained, especially his hands since he is a wizard. They usually need to move their hands to cast spells."
Bryony looks at the others. "I can't believe I shot him while he was running away," she says quietly. "Maybe we should revive him?"

Spare the Dying.
Under the care of Jurgen and Kimberely, Glasstaff is stabilized, his life spared. He remains deeply unconscious.
