Tessa mentioned taking Sir Roderick to his house and laying him down inside while we took care of business around town. I figure we would have walked the wagon over to the cottage.
As we walked towards the cottage, Quinn remembers the " three precious stones" he found on Yeemik back in the cave. He shows them to Jurgen, curious if any of them would suffice.
"Jurgen, I found these stones on one of the goblins back in the cave. Do any of these look to be of use to you?"
(DM: On post 430, you noted that Quinn found 3 "precious stones". Any idea what these stones might be?)

Quinn and/or Jurgen may make an Intelligence check to see what these gemstones are, and whether they would suffice for Jurgen's project. (Jurgen's initial sense is that they would not.)
Kimberly indeed recognizes this sleeping guy. She doesn't know his name, but she's seen him around. He's one of those "Redbrand" thugs that's been causing trouble around town. He doesn't appear to be wearing his red cloak at the moment, although now that she's made the connection, she can see it lying next to him, a scarlet lump piled on top of some rubbish.
Jurgen looks around the area and identifies an old wooden wall or partition attached to the ruin next door that could be torn apart to provide enough usable planks to construct a makeshift casket.

Kimberly sighs and raps her mace against the door frame loudly, " You'll need to find somewhere else to doss down. The rightful owners of this cottage have arrived in town now."
" Take what time you need to gather your things."
She turned away looking out of the cottage before turning back, holding out a scroll, " Have you heard the good word of The Silver Lady?"
Quinn takes back the stones from Jurgen. "Maybe we can get a lead on a gem from the Miners Exchange. At the very least, these might earn us some coin. We'll keep lookin'"
After Kimberly does her thing, Quinn steps up to take a look at the squatter taking note of the rest sash. He stands in the door, silhouetted by the light, and looks the drunkard up and down in disgust. He slowly tilts his head to the side, cracking his neck as a means to release some tension. "Get up, you hear me? Best get movin."

As Jurgen begins to collect wood, prying planks off the windows, pulling apart an old exposed partition wall in the ruined house next door, the sleeping man awakens. "What? Who?"
He gathers his things and lurches unsteadily out of the cottage, ignoring Kimberly's scroll. "I was sleeping!"he mutters, annoyed. He staggers across the grass to the road and begins a wobbly march toward town.
Jurgen: Make a DEX or INT check to see how your carpentry skills do for you in casket-making.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Jurgen: You should still make that roll, but...)
The young drunk soon returns, together with the four red-cloaked miscreants you saw drinking on the covered porch at the nearby tavern.
"Hey!" shouts one. "Private property! That cottage?" He points at the cottage. "Ours. That wagon?" He points at your wagon. "Ours. Now move along before somebody gets hurt." He unsheathes his shortsword.
Initiative (in case it's needed – they're not attacking yet, just waiting for you to obey): Redbrands: 11
Quinn side steps in front of Bryony and subtly motions her to step back into the house. He pulls up the hood of his cloak, slightly obscuring his face.
"I'm afraid you're mistaken, friends. This is the family property of Sir Roderick Feldspar of Neverwinter...a hero who died in battle. He bequeathed this cottage to us and we have the deed in hand.
it's a bit early in the morning and yer brains be a bit foggy. Best get moving on back to the ale house."
He reaches down and unclips Sir Roderick's longsword from his belt.

Kimberly sighs, somewhat newly arrived in town herself she saw the Redbrands more as drunken layabouts than an actual danger, though some of the other townsfolk had tried to tell her otherwise, now she was faced with either supporting her two....three....potentional converts or letting these drunkards have their way.
The Silver Lady would certainly have her choose the former, and so she did so.
" As he says, go and have a few more wineskins you lot, it seems its all your good for about town."

Two of them step up to Quinn. "You don't understand how things work here, stranger. When we say we own something, we own something. Now you can 'bequeath' that to me." #1 Shortsword Attack vs. Quinn: 24. Hit: 7 piercing damage. #2 Shortsword Attack vs. Quinn: 17. Hit: 3 piercing damage.
Another tries to grab Kimberly: #3 Grapple attack vs Kimberly: 8 (Kimberly: make a contesting Athletics or Acrobatics check.)
The fourth targets Jurgen, caught off-guard pulling wood off the neighboring ruin. "Hey!" he shouts the ruffian, "That's ours!" #4 Shortsword Attack vs. Jurgen: 11. Hit: 5 piercing damage.
The fifth, the drunk sleeper too affected to fight, peeks under the tarp of your wagon. "Mining gear! Dead body!" he shouts.
Quinn watches the two approach him and he knows what’s about to go down. He focuses on the one leading the charge and marks him ( hunter’s mark ).
These two are surprisingly quick and both of their attacks land. Quinn grunts in pain and draws Sir Roderick’s long sword with a sturdy two handed grip.
“For Sir Roderick!!!”
He swings at his marked prey.
15 to hit for 8 damage plus 6 from hunters mark.

Meanwhile, Kimberly squints at the squatter in Sir Roderick's cottage. INT check: 20
