The kaorti had been looking like they were trying to repair the leaks from the central structure. On Erbert's arrival, they discontinued and began to leave the room. Starkie and Erbert engage in the 'Tandem Mage Hokey-Pokey' after dismissing the Wall of Force. The arcing bolts of magical energy immediately fill the chamber again and extend into the NW corridor. Erbert is struck for 6 Lightning damage.
Starker's Chromatic Orb flies wide of the target. Erbert's Shatter spell erupts, echoing throughout the caverns. The kaorti make CON saves = 21 and 22. Both take 10 Thunder damage. The column of fluid takes 21 damage from the noisy eruption.
Several pipes burst, lurching from their fittings into the central tank of fluid. Cracks appear in the tank itself and the fluids stop pumping. There is a keening wail heard, echoing throughout the caverns. The lightning dissipates and then stops.
Kragen and Chadwick see nothing coming from the passage on the W side.
Trolkarl and Xymox are greeted by a Thrall and a Kaorti coming into view in the S corridor.

Kaorti8 casts Enemies Abound upon Erbert. Erbert INT save with Advantage = 11 (11, 11), failure. Erbert now perceives all around him as enemies and must attack randomly based on anyone he can see. Kaorti8 then moves.
Thrall7 then attempts to Shove Erbert, STR check = 9. Erbert DEX check = 13. Failure.
Trolkarl smites the thrall in front of him with a blinding flash from Darkbane. The creature falls to the ground, smoke curling from the great wound created. Pressing on, he closes on Kaorti7 and delivers a mighty blow it as well. That creature is badly wounded.
Reeling from the blow, the kaorti casts Mind Sliver on Trolkarl, INT save = 9, failure. Trolkarl takes 6 psychic damage and has a -1d4 penalty to his next saving throw before the end of the kaorti's turn. It follows up with an attack with its ribbon dagger, to hit = 15, a miss.
A look of horror comes on Erbert’s face, he looks back and forth, seeing horrible creatures everywhere, in front and in back! He is standing beside one and he does the first thing that comes to mind. He reaches out with his hands to shock the vile creature. If he’s successful, he’ll retreat into his protective little alcove, making himself as small as he can. He mentally says to the hound, “Schmoopy! Attack the bad creature! Vile fiend, they are all around!”
Attack to the Kaorti thrall : Shocking grasp : 17 to hit, for 13 points of shock damage. If successful, he will - (it can’t opportunity attack)
Movement : retreat to his little hidey hole alcove, shivering and pressing himself up against the back of it.
Schmoopy bites the bad thrall : DC 18 Dex save or take 13 points of force damage.

Erbert reaches out and touches someone. The thrall, he touches the thrall for 13 Lightning damage. Erbert then retreats, pressing his back against the passage wall with his eyes darting about. The thrall makes a DC19 DEX save with Advantage = 23 (23,11), success. Schmoopy misses.
Starker gathers his robes about him, moves until he is able to see his target hex, lets loose first his robes, then his fireball (l3, 33 fire damage, halved on DEX DC 17 save), gathers robe up again and runs over to Kragen.
Starker continues to engage in his arcane dance. A Fireball whizzes past Xymox and Trolkarl's ears to erupt in the chamber beyond, engulfing the kaorti assembled there.
Kaorti DEX save (Advantage) = 14 (11, 10), failure. It dies in the flames, burnt to a char.
The Thrall DEX save (Advantage) = 24 (19, 11), success. It takes 16 Fire damage. Starker has the creature's attention.
The new kaorti, the Exarch, DEX save (Advantage) = 10 (8, 3), failure. It takes 33 Fire damage. Starker also has this creature's attention.
The Kaorti Exarch responds to Starker's aggression with flames of his own. It casts Flame Strike targeted to encompass Xymox and Trolkarl. Trolkarl DEX save = 9 -3 (Mind Sliver effect) to equal 6, failure, taking 12 fire damage AND 9 radiant damage. Xymox DEX save = 26, success, taking 6 fire damage AND 9 radiant damage. It then moves out of view.
Trolkarl would like to use his reaction to make the DEX save using his ring of evasion
This ring has 3 charges, and it regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn. When you fail a Dexterity saving throw while wearing the ring, you can take a Reaction to expend 1 charge to succeed on that save instead.
